Went buy to stock up on my organics this morning and they gave me a free bouquet of flowers for no reason. How nice!

I really like this store. My only negatives are with the pharmacy. I once called and had a pharmacy employee, Becca, totally cut me off when I tried to answer her question. I’ve never had anyone act so rudely — it was really shocking and upsetting since I’ve typically had really good experiences there. She asked when I could pick it up. I replied that I’m going out of town and started to say that I’d be back on the weekend to pick it up, and she interrupted me and snapped, «I JUST need to know when you’ll pick it up!» Seriously? I’m a butch lesbian, and the med I was to pick up is an anti-psychotic. May not be the best idea to stoke my fire. I saw her in there later and was tempted to say something but lucky for her I was in a good mood. Maybe next time. I also don’t care for the Muslim pharmacy employee who is almost always there. My doctor sent my med to the wrong location one time, and she paniced me by saying it wasn’t there. She could have easily looked up my profile and see that it was at another store, but didn’t want to bother. I hope that doesn’t have anything to do with me being gay, since Muslims kill my kind by law all over the Middle East so it’s not far off to believe. Muslims get the right, apparently, to refuse LGBT customers(Read about the gay activist who was refused all 4 times trying to buy a wedding cake in Dearborn, MI. I don’t even want to think about how often this goes on and the media won’t tell us since they’re so afraid of Muslims. Some states also give businesses the right to refuse LGBT customers due to religion — at least the media is telling us about that! I only found out about the Dearborn story through a youtube video.) I think I should have the right to not have homophobic Muslims touching my meds esp since I am lesbian and the Muslim employee already was at the very least unhelpful to me before. I know Muslims are everywhere in this city now, but Kroger has a reputation of being pro-LGBT and you can’t support both groups when Muslims are allowed to kill us by law in almost every Middle Eastern nation and are actively trying to move anti-gay laws into Europe already. I like this location but the pharmacy needs to work on their employment situation. I also had ANOTHER employee there let a man hold up the line while he was on his cell phone trying to clear up some issue with his med. I had perishable items but she just let me stand there until the man finally walked away. The lack of education, good sense, and money is what leads to issues like certain religions and classes of people outbreeding the few of us left paying this country’s bills and it’s bringing this country down. It used to be solved by just going somewhere else, but not now. Speaking of pharmacies, you’d think Obamacare pushing birth control almost to the point of forcing would be a big hint. Since it’s the upper classes supporting it, I think we should get to have some input on that. Must suck to be stuck with that pittance for healthcare. I was on Obamacare for a short time before getting married, and to have a separate ins. card just for birth control is a scary thing. It’s past time to ramp up this sterilization plan.

Store needs to do a much better job on rotating products and checking dates in dairy and frozen. Too many times I come across items that either expired or expiring that day. I know for a fact that Krogers are suppose to check dates and reduce them for sale no latter than 7 days before expiration. Expired products are part of the business, but this location does the worst job staying on top of it.

I like this Kroger’s location, have shopped here for several years. It’s nice seeing some of the staff who have been here for years because, if nothing else, you know they know what they’re doing. Also nice to see when management stands near the registers to offer assistance. I don’t like being accosted by them, however I would rather go to them if I have a question. Beware, lots of panhandlers in the parking lot and shady people. Don’t drop your receipts on the ground, these people will collect them and use them to get fake refunds. If you see these people I recommend letting management know.

Just got back from vacation and visited this Kroger to pick up a pizza and some beer. When I was ID’d(I’m 25) the cashier advised me my ID expired 5 days ago. I said I’ve been out of state, just got back today, and thank you for the reminder! He wouldn’t allow me to make my purchase. The person in front of me was a 35ish man trying to buy cold medicine, didn’t have an ID on him, and wasn’t allowed to make his purchase either. A little much, don’tcha think? Will not be bothering with this Kroger again. Plenty of other places to shop.

I shop at this Kroger at least once a week. I live just down the street from it and have typically had great experiences at other krogers. This review will center around a particular negative experience I had at this location. During my weekly trips to this location, I always purchase a pound of deli meat and a pound of cheese. In my many trips to the deli I rarely have a good experience with the deli staff. Last night was by far the worst experience. When ordering a particular type of turkey that was on sale, I was told they were out of that kind and was offered a different flavor. I then asked the associate if the sale price would be applied to this different flavor. I was not given a straight answer but was simply told to take it to the cash registrar and ask them upon checking out. I went ahead and ordered one pound of turkey chipped/shaved. The associate proceeded to tell me chipping/shaving was the hardest for the deli staff to do, but that she would try her best. While preparing my order, she proceeds to complain about my request to another associate. No less than 10 minutes goes by before I am finally given my order. When the associate hands me my turkey, she dramatically states that it takes a long time to chip/shave, she got her work out in for the day and that chipping/shaving is the hardest thing for the deli employees to do. As I turned to walk away, the associate begins to take the next customers order and says«how can I help you? I just hope you don’t want it chipped.» Based on the deli alone, I would not recommend this Kroger to anyone. The location and demographics for this particular store lends to a lack of diversity of product and availability. That alone can be very frustrating while buying groceries. But the unpleasant demeanor of krogers staff, most noticeably the deli staff, is enough to make the drive to another location worth it.

This location is nice, quiet, not typically packed. They do close at midnight and the liquor store at 9pm everyday of the week. Employees are helpful if needing help. I have never once had a problem with this location. I would definitely go back to this location.

Very nice store, probably the best I’ve ever been in. Huge step up from the stores on West Broad St. and Eakin Rd. They took out the video rental section, and Block’s Bagels and the deli counter are conspicuously MIA(I’ve been going to this store since 1997). Kroger’s prices are atrocious. All of that combined results in one star being taken off. If all of those things were back in place and the prices more reasonable, it would definitely get five stars. This store is huge. It’s clean. The aisles are pretty wide. There are a lot of cash registers. Depending on what time you’re doing your shopping, you might encounter some traffic or few registers open. Most stores don’t have a seafood or meat counter anymore, but this store does. They even have live lobsters! The quality of its produce is spectacular. They have a huge organic foods section. Even during First Of The Month Madness, the shelves are stocked — I have yet to see a Walmart that does that — which means the managers are doing their jobs, as well as making sure their employees are doing theirs. I’ve had some slow cashiers, but none that copped an attitude. I usually get middle-aged women at the register.

I really like this location. There is a pretty good size organic section, and considering the Kroger on Broad has NOTHING, thats a great thing for me. Bakery staff is very friendly, and there seems to be a great selection of produce and all naturals.

The selection here leaves much to be desired. It is one of the older unremodeled stores. The predominantly teen staff have that awesome«I don’t give a sh*t» attitude. 95% of the time the only option you have is the U-Scan and several times we’ve had to track the attendant down from across the store to help us. We tried to rent a Rug Dr. carpet cleaner once & the kid who was bringing it to us had to be sent back 3 times to get the correct one. The pharmacy is also suuuper slow. I generally avoid this Kroger if at all possible.
