I hate to write bad reviews, but feel compelled… This was the worst experience I’ve had in a nail salon in a long time (and maybe ever!). The technician was very apathetic and it showed in his level of service. Plus, the place was cold and not especially clean. For example, the towel on the table during my manicure had someone else’s nail clippings on it! Huge eww factor. Won’t be back, not even in a manicure/​pedicure emergency!

Subpar at best. Slow service and distracted employees. Too bad because it is so close to work.

I generally like the work that the owner does. She is the one with dark hair and has the dog Toby (who is super cute!!). She is friendly and makes conversation, she is patient and does a good job, sadly, I can’t same the same for her employees. One lady in particular I can’t stand. She is impatient, flipping your hand around and ignoring your requests. She barely gives you time to choose your color and then cuts/​burns me at least once, when I see she’s there I usually leave but today I was overdue. Same thing happens. My nails are shaped horribly and I she rushed it. My pedicures are generally OK but if you want a good scrub, go elsewhere. It will be pretty but they do nothing different and charge more.
Make sure they don’t overcharge you because they will.

My nails looked ridiculous when I left. I do a better job when I paint them myself! Also, they began chipping almost immediately, which was a huge disappointment. I just keep telling myself that the cost of this manicure was spent learning to never come here again.

I went to Lily nails because my coworker recommended it after I complimented her teal gel manicure awhile ago. I finally went in for a gel mani and wasn’t very impressed. The space is very clean and cute, they even had a little puff ball of a shih tzu puppy bobbin around. I was sat at a table right in front of a tv so I watched a movie which was nice. My nail technician texted the entire time she was doing my manicure. I wouldn’t have minded if it was just when my nails were curing under the UV light, but a few times she literally stopped what she was doing to text. Weird. Also no sugar scrub or cuticle oil was included.

I tried out this salon yesterday. My go-​to place in Columbus is Plush Nail Salon but yesterday it was all booked up. I searched Unilocal and found Lilys. There were good and bad parts which is why I gave it a 2 instead of a 1. I went in for a full set acrylic with design. The service started in a timely manner which was great! I showed the nail tech a picture of how I normally get my nails, so that way she had a guide (I’m very particular with my nails).
After she cut the nails she paused my service to accommodate a walk in who wanted a wax. That was a bit irritating because it seems polite to focus on one customer at a time. So during the 15 minutes I was sitting there waiting, I began looking at my nails and the picture I had showed her seeing there was a huge size difference. (The shape, however, was done nicely) I like long nails and the ones she gave me were extremely short. When she came back, I informed her and she tried to argue with me saying they were the same size. It was very clear they weren’t. I told her I wasn’t going to pay for nails I didn’t want and that if necessary she can just take them off and I will leave. She finally said okay and attempted to make them longer. Which was a fail but I didn’t even have the energy to argue again.
Then came time for the polish. I wanted a simple design that basically involved drawing a bunch of triangles. I am a terrible drawer and I can do the design. Just not on myself. She took one look at the design and said it was too difficult. Not sure if it was laziness or if she was being honest and really can’t free-​hand simple designs. To me it seems nail techs should have some type of free-​hand skill. Maybe I’m just used to always being pampered and satisfied with Plush Nail Salon’s talent that it seems horrible when other salons can’t measure up. Anyways, i wanted that design specifically for a vacation I am going on in two days so I had to leave the salon with zero polish (she didn’t even do a clear coat) and go to another salon that could do the design. The second salon did the design in 5 minutes, by the way.
Maybe for some women who only get simple pedicures this salon would be sufficient. For me, I like a little bit extra which they cannot do. Safe to say I won’t be back.

disappointing got a gel manicure and I asked for a light pink with gold over top. when the pink wasn’t working she grabbed a purple color instead, told the nail tech it was purple and she said «it’s the lighting» and continued painting … no it’s definitely purple ! also used one base coat, two coats of purple, two coats of gold and a top coat so six coats later no surprise my nails are all thick and lumpy. not worth the $ 35

Always the best customer service and I have never left in satisfied with my nails or eyelash extensions. If you’re looking for affordable prices, amazing customer service, and an overall wonderful technician, come here. Kim is so wonderful, and as long as I reside here in downtown/​campus, this will be my go-​to nail and eyelash spot! :)

They are so friendly and helpful here!!! Great at design and shaping, all for a good price. I don’t go anywhere else. :)

The new management is horrible. I’ve consistently been unimpressed with them visit after visit. I scheduled an appointment and they didn’t seat me for a half hour. Then they finally out me on a pedicure chair and let my feet soak for another half hour while they worked on others people’s nails. When they finally got to me I almost considered walking out with my prune feet. Their actual work was sub par compared to what I’ve gotten done at Elite Nails. Go somewhere else. Their skills and customer service are both weak.

I have been getting my acrylic nails filled here for over a year now. I stumbled upon this place because it was so close to where I was living at the time. Being almost annoyingly particular about my nails, it is hard for me to find a place that will do them correctly. I can honestly say I have almost never been disappointed here.
Everything is kept very clean, and the technicians are all very friendly. It can get a little busy on the weekends, but this is less of a problem when the OSU students leave. They will answer their cell phones while they are doing their nails, but I’ve never found that to bother me.
I will say that there is a gentleman nail technician who works there, and personally I do not care for how he does my nails. He files the acrylic down to be very thin. They still look great, but I prefer a little more durability for my finger nails.
Plus, they are so cheap! A full set will cost you less than $ 30, and fills are only $ 18! They also have a rewards card where if you get 5 services done that are $ 15 or more, you can get the 5^th one for $ 5 off. Great for me since I am there almost once a month.
All in all, hands down the only place I will go to get my nails done in Columbus. Absolutely brilliant.

I just had a terrible experience with this place. I had my acrylic nails done two weeks ago so I came to Lily Nails and Spa today for a balance/​fill in. I explained that I was just wanting a french manicure this time with no color. I was told that they do not do that in their salon with the white nail polish for the french manicure.
I was told that I would have to get a white fill in and tips put on my nails and the cost would be 38.00, so I am going from 18 to 38 for a simple balance. I was not going for this and instead asked if I can do a french manicure with an alternate color (as I had done previously) and I was told yes, so I decided to go this route. The young nail technician was very rude and short with me. He as angry that I did not want the white tips. I explained, why would I want to pay an additional 20.00 to have white tips when I just had them put on 2 weeks ago.
He then proceeded to balance my nails, but was not friendly and did not converse with me at all. He was somewhat rough hurting my nails when running the drill and then he was extremely sloppy. My nails were uneven and not all filed in the same shape. When he was done, I went to pick out a color to do my tips with. At first notice, he did not even clean off all of the nail polish from my previous time (which was red) and it was all underneath my nails. He then proceeded to polish my whole nail and not give me tips like I asked. He then left pink nail polish around the edges and there were bubbles present throughout my polish.
This was the worst experience I have ever had and I am very disappointed in the service I received. I will not be going back here and nor would I recommend it based on the rude way I was treated since I would not pay an additional 20.00 for some white tips. This was ludicrous and ridiculous and I caution anyone that goes here to make sure that they see prices and are explicit on what they want prior to sitting down in a chair with this young male technician. I hope you all find this review useful.

Do not go here to get anything waxed! I came here for a quick brow wax because nothing else was still open. Mistake! When I came in they first told me their waxer was gone. As soon as I walked out of the door they ran and got me saying they did have somebody who could my brows. I should’ve left right then. A younger man came to do my brows, claiming he’s been doing this for years.right. I told him not to reshape them, only clean them up. He interrupted me saying he knows what «clean up» means. He waxed my brows into the shape of 2 half moons. They look terrible! And I also noticed he double dipped wax sticks which is a sanitary no-​no. And there was still wax on my face when I got home. It’s a month later and I’m still trying to grow them back into their natural shape. Never again.
I’m only giving them 3 stars because I’ve had my nails done here before and they turned out decent.

Great service and environment! Have 5 workers (maybe more) there so their schedules are pretty flexible. They did my nails and toe’s polish quickly and professionally. Had pedicure with polish for $ 30 and gel polish (with design) on hands for $ 30. Great price! Especially for the gel design, the worker were open-​minded and creative, I showed her picture and she accepted it easily. Will visit again. It is close to campus and also has parking lot at back & street meters available.

Great mani for a great price. Super fast, and well done. Definitely recommend for college students like myself looking for an affordable, clean, and talented location.

Loved my pink and white nails! They have a dark pink that I like and a lot of salons don’t have that. The only thing I didn’t like was the tech took a long fake nail and pried off my previous gel acrylic. It kind of hurt. Also, I had to wait for one nail tech to get done because she was the only one who knew how to gel? I guess? I didn’t really know the reason why. But other than that… It was great.

Yes everyone, a clean and affordable nail salon has finally arrived in central Columbus. I went in today for a manicure before leaving tomorrow on an important trip, and I received careful and attentive service, an attractive natural nail color and plenty of drying time under the lamps. The manicure was definitely worth the $ 15 — even better considering that I received several coupons for $ 3 off my next one (for me or a friend). So if you find yourself driving up or down High St. close to King Ave., you might want to drop in and take advantage of this delightful, apparently well-​kept secret.

Two days ago, I dropped by again as a walk-​in client at Lily Nails & Spa for a manicure and pedicure, and you know what? I really like the regular pedicure here – I mean, just the *regular* pedi includes an exfoliating sugar scrub *and* a warm (albeit kinda brief) towel treatment! :-) At other nail salons, I’ve noticed that such add-​ons are only part of deluxe pedi packages.
As for my regular manicure here, it was so-​so. Obviously my nail tech (a male, though his gender’s hardly relevant) was far less than enthused with what he was doing, and as he was removing the cuticle of my left middle fingernail, it started to bleed. :-/​
However! The other techs present were always very friendly, one of whom had done my gel manicure this past June. (Although that gel manicure did not last for a month like the one I had had done at another area nail salon, it did last the typical two weeks before chipping away.) And the ADORABLE four-​year-​old son of one of those techs happened to be hanging out at the salon while I was having my procedures done; I ended up having some cute little conversations with him. :-)
I will return again for a pedicure and may try the facial waxing services. And should I get another regular manicure here, I’ll probably schedule an appointment and make sure to specify a preferred nail tech. :-)
