Specialties
We are a family friendly, sports oriented grill and pub style restaurant featuring award-winning wings, burgers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. We have nine high-definition televisions set within our casual atmosphere — perfect for watching your favorite team play. On certain nights we have trivia contests offering prizes to the winning teams, other nights we have live music starting at 9p. We also offer reservations for larger groups or parties and would love to cater your next event. Come in — see why Locos is Crazy Good!
History
Established in 1988.
In 1988, Jamey Loftin and Hughes Lowrance decided to open a tiny general store and deli in Athens, Georgia and they called it Locos Deli and General Store. They sold sandwiches, milk, toilet paper and other basic needs of college students and delivered them to the residents and students around the University of Georgia.
Nearly 20 years later Locos is a thriving concept with a new name, Locos Grill & Pub, and has grown to more than twenty locations throughout the Southeast. In October of 1997, the first franchise store opened in Gainesville, Georgia. Since then, additional franchises have been added in areas such as Columbus.
Locos is a great hangout for friends, and while they no longer sell the general store items, the menu has grown to include appetizers, salads, specialty sandwiches, wings, grilled burgers and entrees, and a variety of delicious desserts. There is truly something for everyone and every occasion on the menu at Locos.
Meet the Business Owner
Will B.
Business Owner
Even though my two sisters are partners in the business with me, as President of the company, it has fallen to me to be more involved in the daily operations. We have a great management team in place, so I am free to concentrate on our marketing efforts, improving efficiency and advancing the image of Locos. Furthermore, I have other responsibilities relating to property management and real estate leasing through a related business.
It is my wish that Locos will become the surrounding neighborhood’s default restaurant for casual, family-friendly dining. Those reading this: know that if there is any reason Locos isn’t presently that place for you — I want to know about it!
