I have been eating lunch at Milo’s on a semi regular basis for about a year now. They have catered events that I have been a part of at my work, and they have also had really good service. The cashier’s often remember my name and are friendly. What I love about Milo’s is that it is one of the only good places to eat in Franklinton that has variety and a clean environment. What I do not like about Milo’s is that it is only open until 3pm on the weekdays. I have come to Milo’s and as I enjoy half decaf half regular coffee, they have made a fresh pot of decaf for me even though no one else was drinking decaf at the time. I enjoy Milo’s bakery, they always have delicious looking goodies, and I like the rice pudding that they sometimes have. YUM! Their cookies are really good too. I don’t care for the televisions. I also think that art on the walls would be cool, but I have never seen anything on their walls. I like the people watching out the window, and the variety of people that walk through the door. It is almost like I’m at Cheers, except this is a morning/afternoon deli instead of a bar for people to hang out after work. Milo’s gets very busy during lunch time. If it is crowded, than it is pretty loud inside. Did I mention they cater? They have really yummy lunch boxes, and they put salty, sweet and main dish along with a fruit option or chips. That is another thing I really like about Milo’s, is that you order lunch, and you can choose from fresh fruit, or chips or pretzels. They also have a self serve water/soda machine. The soup and bread is high quality, and they always have a soup of the day. I give this place a 5 star because 1) It has good customer service 2) They are clean 3) The food has never disappointed me 4) They have excellent choices 5) They are bad ass caterers 6) Need I say more?

One of my favorites in Columbus. This was one of my standards when I lived in Columbus and worked downtown. The specials change frequently meaning there is always something new on the menu. My favorite dish on the menu is the chicken salad BLT. The staff is always nice but professional. This is just a nice, relaxing place to eat good deli food. The only thing that stinks is that they are not open on weekends.

Just attended one of the best catered receptions at the Statehouse – and it was catered by Milo’s. The shrimp was succulent, the apple Brie bruschetta I will dream about… and then there was the double chocolate cupcake. The frosting wasn’t sugary fake but instead was pure cream delight. Makes me want to throw an event just for this food.

Wow! Not too many updated reviews! I think this place is a hidden deli gem. Sure it’s not in the greatest of locations… but don’t let that deter you away… this place is fresh, made to order, and inexpensive! They even cater!(and have a location in the Statehouse — that is saying something!!) I had the turkey reuben, and it was perfectly sliced. The french onion soup had cheese completely covering the top which hit the dairy spot during that late lunch. Oh, and the desserts? Umm… pastry log or cheesecake. Yes. Please. They even had eggnog cheesecake for the holidays! The staff here is refreshingly nice, especially if you come in-between the rushes(you may want to call ahead during 11 – 1 for takeout). There is parking right behind/beside the building, so no need to fret!

Summary: An excellent, if a little pricey, place for lunch. Good, old-fashioned deli food as fresh as it gets. What I Got: Milo’s Club Sub(on wheat, hot), side of Caesar pasta salad, double-chocolate cookie and a coffee. The Good: Everything was delicious and fresh. The sandwich was large enough for two meals, loaded with delicious shaved turkey breast, chewy bacon, and crunchy veggies. The bread was tasty and lightly toasted with a good crust. The penne in the pasta salad was nicely cooked– not too mushy or too chewy, and there were no broken noodles(It’s a pet peeve of mine– I hate broken noodles! Unless it’s Broken Noodles.) The ENORMOUS cookie tasted fresh-baked; chewy, chocolaty and moist, with dark and white chocolate chips. The Not-So-Good: There was a bit too much dressing in the pasta salad, and I felt that the bits of romaine added nothing to the flavor. The coffee was drinkable but average– Milo’s does not have their own brand. The atmosphere was a bit hectic and loud, but I was there during lunch rush, after all. The seating could have been more comfortable. The Verdict: Yum! I would definitely return. Slightly pricey in terms of lunch fare, but you definitely get what you pay for. I’m pretty picky about deli stuff, and I was very impressed with Milo’s. I can see why they’ve won multiple awards for catering.

I know I’m doing a good job when one of my clients says ‘Lunch is on me today. Let’s get Milo’s.’ I always respond with an enthusiastic Yes! Its not hard to see why Milo’s is so popular. When you’re working on this side of town, well, you don’t have many options for lunch. But best of all, its pretty darn good. Not the greatest, but when your looking for something other than, oh let’s see, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Arby’s, or Tim Hortons, this is one of your only other quick choices. We never eat in but rather call ahead with our orders, send someone to pick it up, and then eat it back in the office. They usually have some specials going on each day, and you can check their website to find out about them ahead of time. Today, our order consisted of 2 Hummus and Veggie Wraps(which I ordered 1 of), 2 Chicken and Cucumber Wraps, and a Greek Gyro. There was a good amount of hummus and it was tasty with a good selection of veggies. I still think the best hummus sandwich I’ve had is at COSI( ) but this is a close second — if they just added basil it would be complete. Sandwiches come with a dill pickle spear and a bag of potato chips(which my father says were yummy). The prices on the website are pretty reasonable and all those things make it a definite choice when I’m in the Franklinton area!

I miss stopping in to grab a sandwich or salad at Milo’s for lunch. I used to work for a foodservice distributor in the area and would stop in at Milo’s once every couple of weeks. I love their Grilled Chicken Salad. You get MORE food for what you pay for it. VERY good!

A very good deli. I have had many different items over the years and some of the food is way better than other items. Prices are not too bad either.

Compared to the outside, the inside of Milo’s is pretty nice. Lots of newish tables and deli cases. And the menu is spelled out in large letters on a chalkboard. I had the panini special, which this day was chicken, cheese, bacon and tomato, along with one side and a soft drink. The sandwich was fine but was very underspiced and ditto for the macaroni salad. The chef must be afraid of the salt shaker. lol But the long and the short of it, is I’ll take Katzingers.

Ok. Since there are few good delis in Columbus(just my opinion) this place is OK. If you work or live in south west Columbus you have very few options for good deli food. Milo’s has a very useful website making it easy for groups to place their lunch order. I suggest you call ahead because this place gets packed around lunch time. This is not due to outstanding food or portion size, this is due to convenience and the fact it is the only deli close to these poor people… If you have no other option the food is good enough. The portion size sucks for the price, but can be a good stop if you are around and need some deli food. Nothing more to say
