Nyoh’s Buckeye Bar & Grill

Since the Zac Brown show ended at 10, my friend & I needed more country music so I suggested we go here for some beers and possible line dancing! We sat at the bar for 20 minutes and out of 4 bartenders not one of them waited on us! We tried moving seats around the bar and even positioned ourselves right in front of the cash register so we would for sure be seen?! Ummm… not a chance. Everyone to our right was getting waited on and so was everyone to our left. I thought we had camoflauge on for a second! My friend said it’s because we’re older (40’s) that’s why we’re not getting waited on but there were people in there WAY older than us! It just all around was horrible. We left without a drink or a dance lesson… Total dirty hole in the wall!

I am only able to review the bartender/​waitress service and the food. We stopped by for the bar burger my boyfriend has been telling me about. We were on our way to The Schott for a concert with 2 other friends. We each ordered the burger. There was not very many customers so the bartender was the waitress, also. My boyfriend requested Wild Turkey American Honey on the rocks and she said they had it. That wasn’t what he received but he drank it anyways because we had limited time. There was a guy in the back making food and he was set on slow. When he brought our food out, my burger was charcoaled outside, dry inside. My cheese was pretty much burned off. I ordered onion rings instead of fries which were good. One of our friends had fries left over so I tried them. The keyword is «tried». We all said they were like eating the pretzel rods they give kids when they are good at the doctor’s office… hard as rocks. Overall I was not impressed. Not interested in returning but my BF wants me to experience the dancing so may try it one more time.

This place should be on Bar Rescue. Broken stools, filthy paper napkin dispensers, awful food and beer glasses that smell like dirty mop water. Not sure how it stays in business.

Fun fun fun. Came here for the evening after the Equine affair. Line dancers of all ages danced the night away. 1 $ cover charge. Can’t beat that. Will come back when in town again

Extremely filthy place, don’t touch the menu!!! So greasy they just needed to throw it away. The drink we did order was very flat, typical college drunk whole!!! Nasty!!!

This bar is definitely the place to be If you love good drinks, country music and line dancing. The bartenders are fun to chat with and are really good at what they do. The DJ’s are hilarious and play all the new songs and any requests.
Big plus, if you’re new and want to learn one of the dances, just hop on the floor next to someone who is doing all of them. Most likely they’re in the regulars group and go at least 3 times a week, therefore they know all the dances. Just hop next to em and they’ll help you out. Definitely the place to go for a good night out.

service sucks but lots of pretty girls.

Came here in November with some friends for some grub and a drink before a concert at the Schott. Excellent service from the bartender. Beers were great but the food was not so great. Their boneless wings were merely chicken nuggets dressed in something that could have been Frank’s Red Hot sauce. Which is fine, we just thought it might have been better. The fries were kick butt!

Get yer cowboy hat and boots on and slap yer mama cuz this place is COUNTRY. Do you know how I know?
1. LINE DANCING. And they are serious about it too. There was literally no other kind of dancing going on for the 2.5 hours I was here. Get your Shania Twain on.
2. SHINER. Yep, they’ve got Shiner Bock on tap here for all you good ol’ boys. Reminds me of my time in TX.
3. CLOTHES. My friends and I came here for a theme party where we were all supposed to dress up in ridiculous country outfits. I’m talking over-​the-​top. The only problem? We fit in too well. I chatted with some people at the bar and they said they didn’t even notice that we were dressed up.
4. THE CONFEDERACY. That’s right ladies and gentlemen. You want to see hats and cutoff t-​shirts with confederate flags on them? Come on in to Nyoh’s.
Is Nyoh’s ridiculous? Absolutely. I mean c’mon. It’s a country bar in Columbus, Ohio. In a strip mall. But did I have fun here? You better believe I did.

Wow, not a lot of reviews for this place…
I’ll start with this. I lived in University Village for two years. This place is just around the corner, making it the bar of convenience for my friends and I. It also helps that we grew outside the city and like country music. Nyoh’s is now a full-​time country bar, not just a Tuesday thing anymore.
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are their busiest nights, and they have a DJ. Friday night around 8 – 10 they have someone teaching the line dances. You can learn them when you’re drunk, but that gets a lot harder and annoys the people around you.
It’s usually a mix of real country boys and girls transplanted into Cbus and college kids that think they’re country. If you enjoy cowboy hats and Daisy Dukes, this is the place for you!
They also usually have a cheap beer on special these busy nights and on game days. They also have «bucket» specials for interesting liquor concoctions. The buckets are just barrel shaped plastic mugs with handles. Whiskey and Coke night was always fun!
They also serve generic bar food, which I must admit I’ve never ordered out of dozens of trips here. I have had the pizza though, and it’s not half bad for the price if you get it on special.

Being a country boy transplanted to Columbus, Ohio I have yearned to find a local corner tap watering hole that reminds me of home. Luckily I found Nyoh’s while out with some friends one night.
The standard attire upon walking in of jeans, shirt and boots already tells me this is a bar that is relaxed and common folk. The patrons are down to earth, bartenders are friendly and the beer is cold.
If you are looking for a down home bar, give Nyoh’s a try.

Nyoh’s has very good beer and mixed drink prices, the bartenders are pretty good, and if you like country (I do) the music is good too. Will sometimes have live coverbands that play. The crowd is ok, if only for seeing chaches and country folks inter-​mingle. Also has good food available if you want to try and sober up.
The only knock is that it’s not on N. High St., but oh well; that is why you have DDs and taxis.
A solid bar where you can have a good time… if you like country music.

I have to award just two stars because I was tricked into going on Country night! Every Tuesday is night is Country night. Apparently it’s the best on campus… even though it’s not really on campus. I did end up having a not bad time. I don’t do line dancing. So that was a big negative. The absolute best part of the night were the costumes (oh, I mean the clothes). Well, second the the hotties in cowboy hats. …just can’t help myself.
