Rick McClelland, Anthem

Getting health insurance was a nightmare for me. I kind of had to fight to get it, then once I got the go ahead, I had to do all the research and get everything lined up myself. I didn’t know anything about health insurance then, just the basics. I researched and read and nearly lost my mind trying to grasp all the jargon. I went through agent after agent before landing on Rick McClelland.
Rick is an Anthem agent. He has a weasley, used-​car-​salesman voice. The first few times I talked to him, I didn’t fully trust him. I asked him tons of questions then moved on to the next agent to continue my search. But, Rick was persistent. He called every other day to ask how my search was going. I would lie and tell him it was going well. In reality, I was meeting bad agent after bad agent, all trying to hook me to bad plans.
So, I did some more research and went back to Rick. He spent tons of time on the phone with me, answering every question I had in detail. I talked to his assistant (Alana?) a lot too. Ultimately, they worked out the best plan I could have possibly got. Once I realized that the plan was reasonable and much cheaper than others I had looked at, I asked the definitive question: Why? Rick told me that he thinks all people should have access to affordable healthcare. That may sound political, but I think he truly meant it.
I’ve been with Rick for a year now, and I’ve had no problems. Everything is as he said it would be.
Rick McClelland is a sheep in wolves clothing. He sounds gruff and sly, but he’s actually a pretty nice guy who will spend time with you and find a plan that works for your lifestyle.
