I can’t speak to the quality of their eye exams, or how they operate with contact lenses and glasses, but I work downtown and am not a patient of theirs, and called a few minutes before 5 p.m. because my glasses had been sliding off my nose all day and I couldn’t imagine driving home like that, and they were so, so kind. The woman on the phone very brightly and happily invited me to come in anytime to get my glasses fixed — «We’ll take care of it, no problem!» she said, and the woman who adjusted my glasses was more concerned than I was with the quality of the fit when she was finished. And no charge to boot! I will definitely be considering them for future eye doc appointments.

I would not go here. The staff is extremely unfriendly.
I ordered glasses and told they were ready for pickup. I live quite about 30 minutes away, but I was excited.
When I got the glasses, the prescriptions were incorrect. This was not the fault of Rinkov, but of the lab.
That being said, the staff at Rinkov do NOT check the glasses when they come back from the lab. I blame the lab for the mistake, but I blame Rinkov for not checking the glasses and for me wasting my time to go there and find out they were screwed up.
Throughout this experience, I was never offered an apology or any form of sympathy. Instead, the staff treated me like it was my fault. And yes, they will talk shit about customers right in front of you!
Stay away!

Don’t EVER go here if you are looking for quality eyecare. Staff is nasty, very unprofessional. Openly discuss clients in front of everyone and seem more concerned with anything other than doing their jobs.

My family and I have gone here for many years. The doctors I’ve seen have been wonderful. Everyone who works here has been very friendly. Their customer service is really second to none. I always spend a fortune on my glasses and I know I could get them cheaper elsewhere. But I also feel that they put a lot of care and effort into getting everything right. My teenager manages to bend his frames frequently and they always adjust them for free. Their prices on contacts are competitive. They accept both of my insurances.

The experiences I have had with the Dublin office have been HORRIBLE. First, the charges for an annual exam and a contact lens fit are ridiculously high. And everytime I have been there, they have found something wrong and recommended a consultation with a specialist. First, it was swelling of the optic nerve. Almost a thousand dollars later, the retinal specialist I was referred to said there was no swelling of my optic nerve. Then, I kept failing the visual fields test because the machine they use is not set up properly to block out light from the room and outside hallway. So, I got referred to another specialist, and I passed their visual fields test on the first try because they have proper equipment. But of course, that cost several hundred dollars. The last straw was at my recent appointment when I was going to be charged $ 280 for the exam and contact lens evaluation. The guy who was checking me out was supposed to give me a 20% prompt payment discount but wasn’t going to do it until another employee heard me complaining about the high cost of the eye exam and reminded him to give me the discount. Also, of course, the doctor said I have Contact Lens Associated Red Eye, so she wanted me to come back for a re-​check in 1 week after not wearing my contacts for a week. When I called to ask if I would be charged for the follow-​up, I was told it would be another $ 100! This place just keeps finding things wrong so that follow-​up visits are scheduled and more bills are paid, and the ultimate conclusion is always that there is nothing wrong to begin with.
I also forgot to mention that when I ordered glasses from them, the messed up and made sunglasses. So it took extra time to get the right glasses order.
If I could give negative stars for this eye doctor, I would. I will be finding a new eye doctor that doesn’t create reasons for unnecessary follow-​up visits.

Was in town for the Wisconsin Badger football game last October. I lost one of my contact lenses… not good. I called around and decided I would stop by the Downtown Rinkov Eye Center. They fitted me with a sample. I was so relieved. From my nosebleed seats, I would never have seen the game.
The sample lenses worked out great and Rinkov Eye Center shipped a supply to my home. Their prices were good, but their customer service was PHENOMENAL.

After a glowing review from my insurance company’s web site and some word of mouth, I decided that Rinkov and associates would be the ones to help me in my desperate need for new glasses. The appointment scheduling, timing, wait, and service for the exam were exemplary and had me almost wishing I didn’t have to wait a year to come back.
Then I ordered my glasses. Assured of the durability of the frames, and that they would be tweaked for the best fit after some adjustments, I went ahead and purchased glasses from them. I know I can get comparable looking frames for pennies on the dollar, but I trusted their judgment and expertise, and hoped that the manufacturers would be of a higher standard than their dimestore competition on the internet. Money that could easily be spent fixing my car, or other things I’d much prefer to spend it on, rather than an appliance for my face that weighs mere ounces and costs so much. More power to you if it’s disposable income in your world, however, in mine it represents a compromise and an investment.
So imagine how I felt when the earpiece snapped off in my hand with nearly no pressure at the end of the day when I went to put them in their case.
Now imagine how I felt trying to find a parking space at 5:30 on a Tuesday Downtown in a car that likes to overheat because I just got off work.
And now how it feels to find out not only do they not have a replacement, it will take nearly a week, in many cases, and that they «keep their inventory on the floor», so hence, no display set to work in a pinch like this. Let me translate that further: I was sold the display pair for the price of new frames to begin with.
I acquiesced to having the frames ordered, leaving my broken new glasses there to wear my old broken glasses that cut my face, and come back when they called. I’d like to get half my money back for a half-​assed job personally, but I’ll settle for leaving a half good review for the next consumer instead.

I’ve been coming to see Dr. Rinkov at this location for 5 years. I initially came because they were in close proximity to my work and they offered high end designer frames like Prada and Chanel and Cavalli. The Doctor is brisk and efficient but his staff and their customer service is what keeps me coming back. The only drawback I see is there is a pretty good mark up on the frames. I’ve rationalized this by watching this office treat EVERYONE. If I have to pay a little more so the little boy who really can’t afford glasses gets a pair, so be it. I also enjoy that this is a local business and not a national chain like lenscrafters. The glasses that you do buy here are shipped in from a lab so there is no glasses in an hour type set up here.
