personally worked as an employee for Chris C (also writer of first 5 star review) was witness to him stealing $ 500 from a customer and then he claimed the customer never paid. He also
showed up late for work on regular basis. He was also encouraged by the owner of the company, on multiple occasions, to overcharge customers for the hours worked through various techniques. (showing up late, taking long breaks, etc) I am a former employee for this company and if I were making a move, id do it alone before I went through roadrunner!

Customer Service
I recently helped a friend set up a move from Toledo to Columbus. We called on a few companies one afternoon and found Roadrunner to be most pleasant. We were able to call back and ask questions about the move and really feel comfortable before moving forward. We all know that moving is very stressful and the team was very supportive and receptive to my time restraints and delays that occurred on my end. At the end of the day they were always VERY nice to me on the phone, and answered all my questions in great detail to ensure that my move was going to go smoothly.
Pricing
Price is always a big concern when working with a moving company and making sure that the guys are working efficiently and not wasting your money. That was one of my biggest concerns! I did not want to feel like i was being taken advantage of. Pricing was very competitive and they went above and beyond to meet my budget. Price should not be a huge concern when making a big move because you always get what you pay for and I was very happy that I weighed my options and went with roadrunner to ensure my move was going to be affordable and I would be happy with the service.
Efficiency and Timing
After all the delays that I put on roadrunner because of my job and family situations, they managed to get the done job in timely matter. Like i said before, moving is very stressful, been after the first few hours i felt comfortable with all the employees. They were very respectful of me and my belongings and handled everything with care and properly packaged all my delicate items. I was able to move out of my place and get all my belonging into my new home with not one incident. I was able to trust the employees and feel comfortable in getting things done the day of the move which i didn’t anticipate me being able to do. So overall very impressed and would definitely recommend them for my friends and colleagues to use in the future.

This review represents the culmination of several months of wrangling with one of the worst companies I’ve ever had the DISpleasure of working with, and one of the most painful customer experiences that I’ve ever had in my life here on earth. I will break the review into a couple segments for clarity.

The Plan:
Day 1: 8 – 12 am arrival, half day to pack.
Day 2: Transport to target city
Day 3: 8 am delivery.
Actual:
Day 1 arrival: 4:30 pm. Stopped work at 10:30 pm
Promised to restart packing at 8:00 am and finish by 10:30 the next day.
Much wrangling with the operations part of their service who had very different sets of plans for us. Changes in pricing. Insurance offered. We ultimately took it due to the large numbers of disconcerting elements to the service. Call backs were not performed — we had to call them ourselves to finish conversations with the company. The team hadn’t eaten all day, and were very fatigued upon arrival, so we fed them.
Day 2 arrived at 8:20, finished packing 3:00 pm, after multiple push backs.
My parents, in their 70s were to wait at target site. The personnel promised to be mindful of my parents age and assured us that they would update us if there would be further delays. At least to take care of my parents.
Day 3: Texted to get information from personnel, and were told they’d be 20 minutes late since they had to get breakfast (reasonable). 9:30, still no arrival.
Once they arrived, it became clear that they would not be able to complete the task themselves (these were not large, muscular workers) and we hired several additional workers
to help them finish the job — with the help of building management.
It is impossible to overstate how much we tried to inform the company the particulars of the new site, which were not internally conveyed to their moving team.
Damages to several appliances and statues noted on arrival. Claims filed a little while after to their claims department. The claims were denied, but their email was sent to the wrong address and we never received follow up until we pursued the matter ourselves. They later told us they received a bounced email, but didn’t bother to check the email address they had used to send to us.
At any rate, all claims were denied as they don’t cover appliances or statues — which was not made clear to us at time of purchase of insurance.
What’s the point of insurance if it doesn’t cover anything?
Phone calls from management were non-​existent.
Summary:
Horrid experience.
Lowest rating possible.
Highly unprofessional.
Avoid if at all possible.

I had roadrunner moving and storage move my daughter from her 2 bedroom apartment on Cherry Hill Ct. Columbus Ohio to Rivermont Rd. Columbus about 9 miles.
When I first called Roadrunner, I spoke to Kevin White to set up the move, he explained a few things about the company and also mentioned they were fully insured and licensed. We made the appointment for June 30, 2015 between the hours of 12 – 4 p.m. Mr. White asked that I be at her apartment since I am the one setting up the appointment. I arrived at my daughter’s apartment at 11:30. I called back Kevin White at 4:20 to let him know the movers had not yet arrived, he said he would call them The movers finally arrived at 4:45 they were 45 minutes late. The main mover hurriedly went over the contract and I signed. he returned to the truck while the other two movers were moving one box at a time, since roadrunners only gave us a two and a half hour limit I asked them if they had a dolly so they could move more boxes at once, they used it once and it sat in the hallway the rest of the time.
My daughter and I had packed the boxes, taped and clearly marked them with a marker glass, china cabinet breakables, pictures etc. The movers had been gone for awhile so I walked into the hallway to look out and saw them sitting on the tailgate of the truck talking, so I said to them time is ticking you guys need to get back to work. since we only had about an hour or so left my daughter started carrying boxes to the truck to help them. a while later I looked out the bedroom window and the movers were out standing around again talking and laughing to the guy in the truck. I wished I had taken pictures but I didn’t. They even asked my daughter if they could put things in the bed of her truck because they were running out of room, I think it was the way they packed their truck.
When we arrived at her home we asked them to put the boxes down in the laundry room which is a huge laundry room which they started to do, then began bringing everything in at once and placing in the living room. I had to ask them to go out and help my daughter unload what they loaded in her truck, she was unloading by herself. They broke a picture and left the glass in the driveway. After they unloaded the truck I asked if they could help put the bed together, they said the cutoff time 10 p.m. so they didn’t have time. maybe if they hadn’t taken so many breaks they would have had time. I went out to the driveway to ask they could finish taking those boxes downstairs, the one guy said he would then the main guy said something to him and I stood there watching the tail lights leave the driveway without so much as a goodbye.
When we started sorting through things my daughter saw her dining room chair had grease spots on the cloth seat. We went up stairs to make her bed and found 3 holes in her box spring dust liner, we checked out the mattress and found a hole in the mattress, this is not just an ordinary mattress this is a memory foam mattress that she paid $ 2000.00 just this past March.
I called July 2^nd. to roadrunner to make a complaint and they told me to email claims @roadrunner relocate so I have bee corresponding with David Lane, He offered $ 24.00 as a reimbursement and $ 25.00 for our trouble, he said there might be a home inspection and he would get back with us so as we are waiting my daughter is sitting watching TV and the sun was hitting the TV at the right spot and she saw a 6 to 8 inch scratch on the screen itself. this is a 60′ flat screen and this cannot repaired at all, she later unpacked some boxes and found another picture broke of her kids and a wing of one of her ceramic angels that went in her china cabinet broke. everything was wrapped in bubble wrap and clearly marked on the box breakables. but it’s no wonder with the way they just threw the boxes in the laundry room.
I called Value City, they sent out a tech to check her mattress to see if it could be repaired the tech took pictures and said because of the material it could not be repaired and a replacement mattress would be $ 1,499.00.00 and the box spring dust liner would have to be replaced as well which was $ 30.00 and $ 50,oo per hour but the tech said it would not take a hour but that is their standard price.
I emailed David Lane and emailed him not only the estimate but pictures of the mattress, box springs dust liner, the picture, and the grease spots on the chair. he asked how much did the mattress weigh because they would give us .60 cents per pound. I couldn’t believe what he was saying, I told him we wanted the replacement of the mattress and he told me I had not taken out that insurance that I had purchased the lesser insurance. I didn’t buy to my knowledge any insurance according to the ad and what Kevin White said they were fully insured to no cost to the customer. and that is what I am holding them too. BBB and small claims court are next. they should be ashamed of themselves.

Originally, I had a bad experience with this company… But please keep reading on! Let’s say the customer service I received was less than ideal. I had scheduled my move from 12 – 4 and was not informed until 4:00 that they were going to be late even though I attempted to call the company numerous times throughout that timeframe to get confirmation and customer service stopped answering after 1:30 pm and I was left to guess if they were actually going to show up or not. The movers DID arrive later than expected at about 7:00 pm and worked their butts off to get done as quickly as possible. The companies rule is to close the doors at 10:00 pm and finish the move the next day. My movers new that my beds were in the front of the truck and worked almost till midnight to ensure my move was complete that evening. At the end of the move I was very upset because I had to work very hard to help the movers get done at a decent time, I took off a day of work to wait for the movers, the Columbus customer service never called me back, and the movers were unable to compensate me for any of my troubles that I had experienced that day. Shortly after posting my experience on Unilocal,a customer service representative contacted me from their New York branch and worked diligently and proactively to resolve the issues I had experienced on my moving day and I was sooo grateful! It was nice to know that the company does take responsibility for their wrongdoings, make-​up for their mistakes, and work to improve themselves for better service. So like I said initially I was upset, but at the end of the day, all of my belongings got moved, NOTHING was damaged, and the movers worked soooo hard the entire time they were there (they were awesome). I would absolutely use these movers again.

We can’t say enough about how great Steve (Columbus Crew) was! He and his assistant worked their tails off to ensure our move was a success.

I will start by saying I did not use this company. This is more of a warning if you are considering calling them. The second I got on the phone w Kevin, I felt like I was being sold something. He went on for the first 5 minutes about how he is better than his competitors. It was a waste of his time and mine, he already had me on the phone, no need to bash the competition. It’s classless. After 45 minutes of discussing a move, it ended abruptly after I felt he was being dishonest about a flat rate price match another company had already offered me. He said he would match it for the 1^st 3 hours, which is not a flat rate. As soon as I inquired he said go with the other company and let me go.
I’ve spoke w multiple moving companies, his prices were high, he feels like a dishonest person and I would avoid this phone call.

MOVING IS THE WORST, WE ALL KNOW, BUT ROADRUNNER MAKES IT THE BEST! As a female, I absolutely dread moving. I can’t lift anything on my own. When I moved into my house after college, Roadrunner Moving made my life so much easier. These guys are great. I’m a bit of a pack rat, and I have a lot of valuable and expensive antiques that I was nervous to trust anyone with moving. These guys were amazing, they were so careful and gentle with all of my valuables, and I can’t believe how fast they were.
Their customer service is wonderful, they made this a lot less stressful than I expected. They are efficient and reliable, and truly reasonable with the pricing, providing a great quality of work. This is my go-​to moving company and I proudly refer them to all of my friends.

I have moved several times with different moving companies. Form A to Z Roadrunner Relocation Services made things very easy and stress free.
We sold our family lake house unexpectedly and decided to call on a local company.
Everything was usual from the estimate, packing, and time frames. They showed up on time and packed everything very well. I literally left everything in the house as is and let them do all the work. They were fast and way more efficient than I would have been. I felt comfortable with how everything was handled and would use them again.

Great moving company. We used Roadrunner moving to move one of our business locations in Columbus. As we were shopping around we ended up on their website where they had a live chat on the site. Definitely helped make our experience faster and more efficient as they had answers to our questions quickly. We decided they seemed the most helpful and caring about their customers so we went with them. Happy with that choice! No breaks, dents, or dings in any of our moved items. Ranging from business equipment to personal belongings they were sure to take care of everything as if it were their own. Good choice!

Took great care of my belongings when I moved to my new house from downtown, even with the narrow hallways and elevators. Maneuvered everything like pros! Great company.
