Steven Fox offers bass guitar lessons, upright bass lessons, mandolin lessons, ukulele lessons, and music theory instruction. These lessons are offered online and at his private studio in Columbus, Ohio. Steven has taught students from all areas of Central Ohio including Powell, Delaware, Gahanna, Pickerington, Upper Arlington, Grandview, Clintonville, Dublin, and Grove City. As well from across the United States using Skype.
History
Established in 1999.
Steven Fox, a professional musician and teacher for over twenty years, graduated cum laude with a performance degree in the double bass from The Ohio State University where he studied and performed everything from classical to classic rock. Indeed, from the blues to bluegrass, from rock to classical, he has done it all. He currently plays bass with The Spikedrivers (Americana), Fox ‘n’ Hounds (Bluegrass Ensemble), Neil Jacobs’ American Gypsy (Original Gypsy Music) and The Ramshacklers (Blues/Americana). He recently performed with guitar legends GE Smith, Jorma Kaukonen, Tab Benoit and David Grier.

Business Owner
Steven Fox has been a professional musician for over twenty years. Inspired by his grandmother’s love for the bass in Swing Band era music Steven got his start playing upright bass in community, high school and college music theater productions and orchestras throughout Northwest Ohio. It was at this same time he picked up the mandolin inspired by the music of David Grisman. Steven went on to study Double Bass performance at The Ohio State University where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s In Music. Studying both classical and jazz he performed in OSU’s Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Combo’s, African Drumming Ensemble, Double Bass Ensemble as well as performances with many of the school’s faculty.
