History

Established in 2013.

Opened in December of 2013. Studio Shag is the brain child of Celebrity Hair Stylist, Tim Emmert and his cousin, make up artist, Kerry Emmert Stahl. Combined with the team of talent they have built, Studio Shag is the première salon in Columbus Indiana.

I’ve been doing hair since 1978 but I’m still only 39! I work behind the chair and manage education from salon education to Platform work. I’ve been on education teams such as: Rusk, Nexxus, Lorreal and Sam Bracato. I specialize in color and foils and corrective coloring. I’m a motivator.

I love to take on an assistant and motivate them into phenomenal hairstylists.

I work on a lot of fashion shows with high fashion companies such as: Nicole Miller, Versace, Gucci and Valentino and Tom Ford. I do a lot of fashion print work. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Janet Jackson, Usher, Jane Fonda, Kathy Bates, Cybil Shepard, Wolf Blitzer and several other news commentators From CNN and the weather Channel and several people of interest as Sarah Blakely owner and founder of Spanx.
