Timmy’s Meltdown

The Timmy’s Meltdown truck was outside of my office today. I’ve never tried it before, but I’m glad I did! Went with the basic sandwich with American cheese and the tomato soup. Fantastic! Love that the bread stayed crispy. The proprietor was super friendly and the service was quick. I agree with other reviewers that the soup has some «bite,» but I think it’s a good thing. I am not generally a fan of tomato soup but I really liked theirs. To me it tastes fresher. Would definitely recommend.

Pretty decent sandwich. I had the regular with a side of the creamy tomato soup. For the regular grilled cheese you can select three cheeses and they grill it on gourmet bread. The sandwich was delicious, and like another reviewer stated, the tomato soup was a little too «tart» for my taste. After one visit, this truck is a solid three star, but I added a star for the friendliness and charisma of the man working the window. (owner, Timmy? I dunno)

Timmy’s food truck frequents my place of employment a couple times a month. Yesterday was my second time having lunch here. OMG! The buffalo style grilled cheese was the bees knees! The previous visit I tried the Caprese sandwich. Both were equally as good. I have to commend these guys for their fast efficient service and their customer service with a smile. I was impressed that by the time I got back to my desk to eat that the sandwich was still smoking hot and the bread was still crispy and crunchy. Other food trucks that serve «heavy» or «loaded» sandwiches tend to prepare the bread or use bread that just turns to soggy mush by the end of the meal if not sooner. The tomato bisque soup was just ok. It was a little too acidic for my taste. But overall this place is top notch. I can’t wait till they come by for lunch again!

I’m still licking the crumbs off of my fingers. First timer, ordered the Basic with cheddar and mozz, adding in the tomatoes and basil pesto (Timmys: you can call this the «Judy».). Served up fast, hot and crunchy/​gooey. This is a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich and I’ll be back next time they are across the parking lot. (They also throw in the anarchy at no extra charge; bonus!)

By far THE best food truck in Columbus! Their food is done with such care and so delicious, the staff are always fun and friendly, top shelf ingredients and bacon overload on his specials make this a food truck not to pass by!!! Thank you for many great experiences and for being open and friendly to our LGBTQA communities.

If you are looking for a great gourmet grilled cheese with served with colorful flair you have to try Timmy’s Meltdown. But be careful you will start craving another!
