Something must have happened with their liquor license because they no longer sell hard liquor here The same thing is true with their Worthington location on High St Wine, beer and 42 proof is all they have. I don’t see the point in shopping here. I’d rather go to the grocery store

This place is a big joke. Let me make this clear, I moved to Ohio after having lived in NYC and Miami, so I’m not even familiar with the idea of having difficulty finding a liquor store. Not only did we have trouble finding one — this was about our 5th try on the one rare day we decided to have homemade cocktails — but I was completely floored by the awful service here. The family running this establishment clearly knows it’s got a monopoly in liquor sales in this part of Columbus and unapologetically treats customers as trash as a result. Their mixers are unbelievably upcharged and they still have the audacity to add a credit card charge. Now, I’m unfamiliar with Columbus laws but this isn’t legal in Florida. Nonetheless, we paid our stupid CC charges and were on our way. However, we’d bought Jäger and I’d gotten a coupon for a mail-in rebate that I wanted to redeem… except for the fact that I never actually got a receipt. Upon getting home, 5 minutes after making my purchase, I called back to demand my purchase receipt which I am entitled to. Not only did the owner not make an apology for failing to provide my receipt, he hung up on me after I identified myself as the customer who complained about their CC charge! For someone who enjoys drinking and mixing drinks socially, it is truly an embarrassment that this is the best Columbus has got to offer — I certainly would rather drive to Cleveland than come here ever again.

good selection — current construction on 23 north makes this a little tricky to get to, but otherwise my current state store of choice
