Big and beautiful jewelry selection for both men and women’s rings. The woman who helped us used to run a jewelry story, so what she knew she couldn’t provide she told us where to go. Staff is very friendly. Go here!

I want to give a big thanks to Rob and the rest of folks at Uncle Sam’s pawn. I’ve wanted to learn forever how to play the saxophone, but knew nothing. Rob went above and beyond to help me know what type of saxophone I was looking for. Not only that but what type of sound I was going for with the sax. I came in clueless, but left feeling proud. And by God’s grace I found what I wanted. For anyone looking for that down home personal experience while shopping I would suggest given the folks at Uncle Sam’s pawn a try. Thanks

Here’s some info on where my review is coming from. 1) this is the first and only pawn shop I’ve been to. 2) I’ve only purchased items here. 3) I know someone that works there thru my office so, I had an inside track on prices. However, there is a certain knoweldge you should have before you go into a pawn shop. How much are you willing to spend and how much is it really worth? What did I go in there for: bikes! They have an entire basement full of high end bicycles. I bought one for myself, a Giant Cypress, my boyfriend, a Nomad GT, and my friend got her fiancé a Raliegh Hybrid. None of these bikes cost more than $ 160 and all of them retail for $ 350 up to $ 700. I’d say that’s an awesome deal. It seems that whatever the price on the tag says, they can go down to half of that. Brent, the resident bike expert is a cool guy(not the guy I know). A 20 something bike fanatic who knows what bike will fit your frame and can figure out pretty fast if he has what you want or if something is coming up for sale in the future that’d be good. The trick to getting the best deal is coming in later on a Saturday after the owner goes home. They have mostly musical instruments and jewelry and bikes from what I can tell, but they also have guns, audio/video equipment and such. I’m not sure I’d sell or loan anything to the shop as it’s a business so, they’re trying to make money off of you, not the other way. I did get good service here and everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. I have a fun time when I go.

In terms of pawn shops, it is ok, but I guess part of my rating reflects the whole operation of pawn shops as a business. You can find just about anything from musical instruments, jewelry, tools and electronics here, catch 22 is almost everything is used. If you want to sell something, it better be either A — really valuable, b — brand new or c — something they can exploit you for and make a few good bucks off of. Case in point was that I was trying to sell an old TV(circa 1999, not 1989) and they told me they only accept TVs made after 2000. I ended up selling it on craigslist for more than they told me they’d give me over the phone anyways. Also, I bought a saxaphone to get back into playing, it turns out there were more than a few issues with it’s playability, they fixed it, but when i picked it up they tried to charge me a repair fee… hell no, I took it and walked out. All in all, if you’re selling, use ebay or craigslist, take a bit more time, but worth the wait. If you’re buying, use ebay or craigslist, it takes more time but you can ALWAYS find better deals than what this place has.
