Happened to drive by here and noticed a sign that said«Barbeque.» You know what happened next. It’s carry-out only, and there’s not really anywhere nearby to sit and eat. The owners are very friendly, and there is a pretty big menu for a little place: ribs, wings, oxtail, coney dogs, pork chops, meatloaf, pig’s feet(the day’s special; I passed.) Plenty of sides, and today there was homemade peach cobbler for dessert. Prices are reasonable. I got the rib dinner, with fried corn and green beans(asked for greens, oh well.) It came with a slice of cornbread unlike any other I’ve had. At one place on the menu it mentions«hot water cornbread,» so maybe that’s it. Anyway, it was a dense slice, not a chunk. Just right for butter or Sweetie’s strawberry basil jam. Waaay better than the common white bread slice. The ribs were meaty and flavorful. A little more sauce than I like, but it was good sauce: a deep mix of flavors, not too runny. The green beans were pretty average. The fried corn was kernels lightly fried, with some seasoning. Very tasty Overall, I was very happy with my meal. I will definitely be back.
