Overall a good place. Staff was very friendly. Food was pretty good, and I would definitely come back for more.

Had a lunch meeting at CJ’s today and enjoyed it. Place has a great blend of IPA’s, specialty brew like Peach Saison, and several others. Chief brew master JT says he tries new recipes all the time and he’s good and knowledgeable. Food was spot on. Try the chili & ask for extra onions. I had the pork chops today and they were lean and mean. Great service by Nicole, I will definitely come back to try other dishes. The captain crunch chicken sounded great but it’s Thursday, not Sunday, and there are rules.

Man, I love the deep dish here! Double crunchy bacon dipped in ranch. IPA is super solid. Service by Dave, also always good.

Decent beer, ok food, ok atmosphere. They certainly have the potential, but should pay more attention to food — it’s not bad, just bland. Added: never had their pizza before today and it’s excellent. That alone adds a point :)

For starters, they were out of the 2 different beers we ordered, & it took awhile to find that out. The ribs were great, cooked in beer awesome sauce, the fries were perfection. .crisp, not over done. Mushroom burger was good. Not too pleased with the lager, though.

Gotta say the food is awesome and their beer is just as good too! Had the double IPA as well as nachos and boneless wings(Sunday is buy one get one for boneless wings, FYI) and it was all delicious! There’s not one thing I don’t like about this place and even the staff is accommodating and attentive. Stopped in late night for an after work dinner and they even let us order with like 5 minutes prior to the kitchen closing. Thanks CJ’s!

One of my favorite places to go!!! The best seasoned fries I have ever had. I love the beer here too! The deep dish BBQ chicken pizza is by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. Also prices are not bad at all! Nice local place to go to enjoy drinks with friends and watch some sports if you want :)

Decent food, but nothing remarkable. Good beer and a good family atmosphere. Large restaurant so it’s not hard to find a table. Servers are friendly.

The boys got the fish and chips and chicken tenders meals. My daughter and I ordered Michigan Chicken salad chicken on the side, and a blackened salmon salad. Everything was prepared as requested. Salads are big and fresh. We have never been disappointed by CJ’s. Happy hour there rocks! We had a cool waiter who came by our table and said that Happy Hour was ending in 5 min and did we want another drink. Heck yes we do, and he pre assumed and handed us drinks. Now that is a good waiter! Cant remember his name but could pick him out of a line up! So I End my review with soooo good! Enjoy.

Great food, friendly service & nice atmosphere! Burgers and salads were superb. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. A little loud for an optimal dining experience but overall a nice dining experience.

One of my favorite places. Everything I’ve tried was great, pizza, banging shrimp, beer onion soup, classic club and the Eddie burger are some of my favorites. Their IPA is really good too, overall awesome place to eat and hang out. Love the outdoor patio.

Just go with your pub instincts and get pizza and beer. I came with the boy and two friends and we split a square CJ’s supreme pizza, jambalaya, and chili. The jambalaya and chili seemed appetizing on a cold day, but the pizza prevailed as the most satisfying. It served up the saucy, savory, greasy flavors for which one craves pizza, plus I always enjoy the crustiness of a square shaped pie.

A brewery with pretty good food. It’s what one would expect of a local brewery, minus the pretentiousness of the trendier over-hyped other ones around. This is a more casual atmosphere with a decent enough selection of beers for a non-connoisseur occasional only beer drinker like myself. The die hard beer aficionados and IPA snobs may disagree, but, being neither, I couldn’t care less. The food is decent and reasonably priced, for what it is, and I’ve never had a bad experience. For some reason, I find the pizza to not only be consistently the best thing on the menu, but also the best pizza for the price around! Weird, I know, but it really is surprisingly good! Thick or thin crust doesn’t seem to matter — it’s just really good pizza! For about half the cost of Buddy’s, it’s every bit as good, if not better!

Decided to check out CJs for the first time after constantly hearing about it from raving coworkers, friends, etc. My FSIL and I stopped in on Sunday night around dinner time. There were a fair amount of people in the place and we were seated quickly. Overall I would just say that this place is kinda«meh». We ordered spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and I have to admit, I was a little grossed out by the pool of oil/grease/butter/whatever that had settled on top. I had hoped that stirring it a bit would make it easier to eat — I was wrong. That paired with the greasy chips set me up for a serious case of gut rot later on that night… Both entrees were good, waitress was great — super attentive and helped us with any questions that we had. I wish I could remember her name. I could be persuaded to give this place another try, but something tells me I won’t be rushing back any time soon.

Everyone has their local watering hole, don’t they? Well either way, I consider CJ’s Brewing Company in Commerce Township to be mine. I have spent a lot of time there(if you consider once a week a lot) enjoying their tasty food and great beer while in good company. In addition to meeting the basic requirements to be a local watering hole; CJ’s also has quality service, fair pricing, enticing specials and a cozy bar and patio. CJ’s is your typical bar menu with good appetizers, salads, burgers and(really good) pizza. You can get a pint of beer for or grab a growler(half off refill on Tuesday), I love the American Wheat and Golden Lager. Their specials are worth noting… Appetizers are half off until 6pm every day(with exception to their fish tacos & bangin shrimp). Monday is buy one get one half off pizza with the purchase of a beverage and Tuesday is Burger night with the same deal. Wednesday is Mexican Night… $ 4 margaritas, $ 1.50 tacos, $ 10 fajitas and $ 6 burritos and Friday is all you can eat Fish & Chips. I am obsessed with their pizza(the ranch is outstanding as well)… deep dish or round, you can’t go wrong. With six freshly brewed beers on tap at all times, a full board of daily specials, a big bar, large restaurant and an adorable, shaded patio, CJ’s is the perfect place to post up… eat, drink and chill. If you decide to become a frequent visitor to CJ’s, I suggest purchasing the Mug Club membership. For $ 50(lifetime) or $ 30(a year), you get a little card and spend less money on a lot more beer. Once you declare this your place, they don’t even ask you for your card, making you feel like a real regular.

Very much enjoyed this micro-brewery /restaurant. Solid, wide-ranging menu and great beers brewed on-site. IPA and Stout were both very good. I’d hoped to try the red ale as well, but the tap was dry, so I went with their serviceable lager. Décor was pleasant and service was good. Food emerged quickly and was hot and tasty…

CJs is an awesome place to put down your cellphones, get of social network and talk with the people in your life. The micro brewery is really what makes this place amazing. Each beer has its own personality and you would be able to easily tell the difference between all the beers. The service is fast and friendly every time. The food is 8⁄10. I recommend the square pizzas. But the burgers are great too. The atmosphere is also what makes this place so fun. When you walk inside you forget where you are. You feel like you are in a tavern in the mountains somewhere. And then you walk outside and realize you have to go back to work. But when you drive by you’ll want to go in again ad escape the world.

Pretty yummy for a brewery. Nachos are delicious. Portion of salmon on the salmon salad could be larger. Wish they carried Tito’s vodka!!! Burgers really yummy too! Give it a try!!!

Not sure what to think of this place. It’s been a long time since we return, over ten years, but we dropped by a couple of weeks ago. CJ’s to their credit has been around for a long time, 20 years, being a micro brewery before it was a trend. It’s a fairly large place, with the brewing vats up front and in view. It’s location can be awkward, especially turning left from Hagerty road. There are probably 50 –60 booth/tables, and it was busy. It was actually a bit of a zoo, with a couple of youth baseball teams running all over the place, inside and out, and there parents letting them. They had 6 – 8 beer options, no cider, and wine. They have a big menu, with plenty of pizza, salads and burgers/sandwiches. Honestly, not much more than bar food, but the focus is on the beer. It is a young wait staff, who get distracted playing with each other. So, not a bad place to go if you are in the mood for a microbrewery. It will be loud and active — look for their specials.
