Holiday Inn Express & Suites Commerce-Tanger Outlets

Wow, this place smells like Clorox. Overwhelmingly. Sickeningly. Going to be a long night.

Stayed here twice and while this is by far not the crown jewel of the ihg properties it is plesent. The staff is friendly and helpful. They told me about a local Italian restaurant across the street that I enjoyed. For the area I think this is not a bad option. The beds slept with good for me, maybe the other reviewer just got a bad room or maybe they have updated it since 2012 because, both times I’ve stayed here it’s been plesent and comfortable.

Came to visit the Tanger Outlets and Pendergrass Flea Market from out of state.
Pros: Very very clean. The staff did as good job as I’ve ever seen to make sure there was a good visual experience. Awesome hot tub in the pool area.
Cons: Toilet broke (chain in our room). Beds are excessively hard and crinkles due to the use of a very thick mattress protector. My wife and slept maybe 3 hours out of 8. Pool was over chlorined to the point of nausea and even though inside ran on the cool side. The free breakfast they had in the morning was warm at best with sausage patties, manufactured egg patties and the like. Very disappointing.
We have stayed in other Holiday Inn’s that have the same facilities, but did a much better job on the managementz side when it comes to amenities. Even though it hasn’t spoiled us on Holiday Inn, for the first time may look elsewhere in the future.

The best hotel ever… very well kept and comfortable… customer service is excellent…
