History

Established in 2001.

Originally a video and multimedia production business, Luminous Production increased their services to include web development, photography and print design. By 2005, Luminous Productions began providing a full multimedia development experience.

With expertise in web design, development and SEO, Luminous Productions prides itself on strong customer relationships and being able to talk to technical and non-​technical clients alike. Luminous Productions has a rich history in service both locally and on a national level. With extensive experience in 508 web accessibility practices, Luminous Productions has worked on hundreds of contracts for agencies such as the IRS, Department of Treasury, Office of Personnel Management, Department of Agriculture, Federal Energy Regulatory commission, the government of American Samoa and more.

Meet the Manager

Joe S.

Manager

Joe Shipman is an accomplished photographer and web and graphics designer with over 15 years of experience. With a background in graphic design, Joe Shipman started his career designing for print and quickly put his technical skills to work transitioning to web design. With a Bachelors degree in both Printing and Computer Information Systems, Joe has a unique blend of design and programming. After partnering with two other ambitious grads after College, Luminous Productions was formed as a video and web production business.

With several years of design and programming Joe began moving from web and video production to photography. Photography came naturally to Joe from a designers perspective and before long, request for weddings, family, senior portraits, product shots, real estate photos and more were coming in faster than time allowed.

Joe, works with his wife Emily Shipman on a 10 acre ranch style location often shooting in their country setting when not booked off site.
