Meridian Day Spa

Very pleased with their services at this spa. We did a couples session and it was a very relaxing experience. The ambience is nice and the therapists were excellent.

Decided to bring my boyfriend for our anniversary. He insisted on having a female and when I made the appointment they stated they only had one female and one male available and at different times. I decided to take the male. When we arrived they told us they had a cancellation and offered to do the massage together, at the same time, in the same room. Since it was our first time getting massaged we accepted the offer. Like a previous reviewer stated, the robes are not plus size friendly. AT ALL! The robe covered only my top half and I needed to put a towel around my waist, that didn’t completely cover me either. So, I got my hair tie and tied the ends of the towel together so my bottom half was covered. Not the greatest look but it worked. We were called to the room and asked to disrobe and lay under the sheets while our masseuses waited outside. It was very awkward as I felt completely exposed. My masseuse, Jerry, was completely professional and had the softest male hands I have ever felt. Unfortunately I could not relax enough to fully enjoy my massage. I would start to enjoy the experience, then remember I was fully naked and tense up again. Completely my fault. I’m sure the next time will be a lot different as I know now what to expect and I will be asking for Jerry again as he has already seen me naked and will feel more comfortable. My boyfriend had Araceli and stated it was the best experience of his life. After the massage we were given cups of water and escorted back to the locker rooms. I put on my bathing suit and went into the sauna room. It was so relaxing and I got really sleepy. I was afraid I was going to fall asleep and cook myself to death as there was no one else in the facility with me. I then went into the steam room which was too hot and felt like I could not breathe. I then got into the jacuzzi, which felt amazing. I then tried out the cold pool. Lastly I took a shower. I must have spent about a half hour in that shower. I totally fell in love with the shower head. I had planned to sit on the comfy looking chairs in the tv room and take a little nap but at that point he was already texting me that he was starving and was ready to leave. Overall, it was an awesome experience that I would love to share with my sister or a female friend. I have since gotten him a gift card for Valentine’s day. Can’t wait to return!

I love this place. I have been twice for a massage with Vanessa and could not be happier!
The massage was 100x better than super expensive Mandarin Oriental spa massages I have gotten, Vanessa is a PRO!
You get a locker with key, a robe, slippers (rubber) and unlimited towels. There is one steam room, one dry sauna, one hot tub, and a cold plunge pool, which was perfect for me. Olympic Spa has different clay/​salt rooms, and better amenities, but it is so far from me, and gets CROWDED.
I come on weekdays, and once I was COMPLETELY alone (awesome!) and the first time, there was about 4 – 5 othr women. I LOVE Meridian Spa!

Nice clean spa that I enjoy going to in order to use the sauna, steam room, and cold tub. It has a nice atmosphere and there usually aren’t very many others there which makes for a relaxing experience for me.

I received a Travel zoo gift certificate to this cozy little spa. The place was very clean and the atmosphere was serene. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment with Araceli, filled out a quick form, had a quick tour of the place and changed into the spa robe and sandals. The robe was small and thin, so if you are a plus size woman, you’ve been warned. Araceli arrived promptly and courteously took me to the massage area upstairs where I got comfortable and she proceeded to give me a very relaxing massage. The room, sheets her hands and lotion were the right temp and she didn’t waste time folding a sheet at a time.
After the massage I walked downstairs to use the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, TV room and quiet room. The jacuzzi and sauna could have been a it warmer but the steam room was just right, the towels were thin and on the rough side but they were clean. I used my tablet with headphones in the TV room as I had something I wanted to watch. But beware, there is no guest WiFi! Really?!
I really wanted to try the soaking tubs but the bathroom in the ladies spa overflowed and that immediately dissolved my desire to continue with the experience. Instead, I asked to order some food at 4:40pm. They handed me the menu to the hotel bistro and disappeared for 15 mintes because the lady I spoke to went on a break and noone else came to get my order. When they finally came back I ordered a lunch dish but by the time they put in the order the bistro had stopped serving lunch. I was becoming irritated, the pièce de résistance came when they asked if the maintenance man could come fix the bathroom… I’m in a towel ladies!!!
Overall I would say this was a pleasant experience but not worth the retail ticket price.

I had the pleasure of receiving a facial by Tatiana. She is excellent ! She takes the time to make sure you are comfortable. I left feeling great and it showed in how glowing my face was the next day. I will definitely be recommending her to my friends and family. She also does lash extensions for a great price !!! Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner !!!

Classy. The location (inside Commerce Casino) is suspect, but once you go inside the Meridian Day Spa, you are instantly in a whole new world!
I was surprised by co-​workers with a gift card, and they organized the time I was to get my massage.
So, I show up to the casino area, and should have parked in the hotel’s parking lot. Once inside, the spa (second floor of hotel) I was greeted and checked in. I took the time to look around. This place was well decorated and smell heavenly, like natural herbs and flowers. Typical «spa-​like» music was piped around, already creating the ambiance of relaxation. I was escorted back to the spa area (women only and men have their own spa area) and given the tour.
I was blown away at the things available. You get a key at the front desk for a locker and you can put all your valuables and clothes in, and slip into a cotton robe and rubber slippers. Then, I explored alone. No one else was scheduled at this time, and I felt comfy to try all the amenities. I took a warm shower and then went into the sauna (they have a wet and dry sauna). Then I tried out the hot tub and then the cold tub (freezing). Then back in the sauna.
My massage was wonderful (tips not included) and you can leave a tip at the front desk on your way out in an envelope.
Your treatment includes using the spa area at your leisure for 4 hours.
I will be requesting gift cards from family for all occasions from this place FOREVER!

I had such a relaxing time at this Spa. I initially wanted the Meridian Beginnings Package that includes a massage, a facial, and an orange-​vanilla scrub for $ 186 but the esthetician was busy so I had to settle for just the massage and scrub. I was a little skeptical as I was arriving there because of the location (a casino) but when I entered the spa, it really proved me wrong. It was so clean, professional, and the service was great.
I started off with my massage. It was my first time getting a massage but my goodness was it the best thing ever!!! The massage therapist was incredible at making me feel relaxed and making sure she rubbed off all my knots. I wish it would have never ended. She was so friendly as well!
I waited around until my scrub appt so I went to the movie room and watched Netflix meanwhile. I forgot to take my bathing suit so I didn’t get to enjoy rest of the amenities (jacuzzi, sauna, and tubs) but I still enjoyed my time. For my scrub, I laid on a flat looking tub. I was soaked with water and then she scrubbed my body with an orange vanilla scrub and then rinsed it off. My skin turned out immensely soft! I loved it!
Definitely plan to go back and try other services!

Called a few days before arrival to confirm pricing and hours. Got here and basically had to valet ($ 2) because there was no where to self-​park. Got to the spa only to find their steam room was out. Was that something I should have been informed of on the phone? Absolutely. Was the shift manager gracious about it? Absolutely not. We had to raise a bit of a stink (coming in AND leaving) before he FINALLY offered us a couple free return passes. But I think from a customer service stand point, he should’ve handled it much better upfront, immediately offering a discounted rate or service, knowing I called ahead. Instead he just stuck with «the sign is right here, I’m telling you ahead of time.» Once we did go in, no one pointed out where to go and there are no signs so we finally find the locker room (right side). Robes and sandals available in the lockers (flimsy at best). Lockers seemed very secure, though, so that’s good. Head over to the spa area and the jacuzzi is nice. At first. Then all of a sudden on my friend’s side the jets started going cray-​cray, bubbling up extra high while others shut off completely. It was so weird. We alerted an employee (and later told the same shift mgr who seemed less than surprised). The sauna was a sauna. The showers, I liked. Multiple water sources and a handheld for a luxurious experience. About the only luxurious part of the place. We did not get massages or facials as we came fairly late in the evening (maybe 8:30/9pm?) OH! And I forgot to mention, in addition to not finding out until we got there that the steam room was broken, we also arrive to find they decided to close 30 mins early! We showed up later in the evening and this just shortened the time we had to unwind even further. Again, I CALLED EARLIER IN THE WEEK to confirm hours of operation. I was never informed of any early closing.
They offer free ice water. –_​–
So, to sum up my review, I think this spa is not well managed but it is more affordable than, say, Burke Williams. I’ll be back to use my free visit but I will also be taking a trip to BW to see if it’s worth spending a little more for a substantially more relaxing experience. We came towards the end of the day, I get that, but there was just 0 welcoming atmosphere or attention/​assistance from employees. I more or less felt like I was just in the way of them closing and you should NOT make a paying customer feel that way, no matter how close to closing they stay. Treat the customer like royalty at all times and it will pay dividends.

I recently visited & had an excellent experience. I was seen by Au for my massage & facial and she did a great job. All the staff was friendly & accommodating. The prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

So I didn’t want to write this review since I’ve gone to this spa twice before and really enjoyed the facility and my massages. I thought about it… and thought about it… and finally said to myself, «well, if I don’t write a review, how will the spa manager and the massage therapist know where to make improvements (if they even read this)? What if someone else visited here for the first time and had the same technician and she did a mediocre job on them too… they wouldn’t want to come back»…so this review is written with respect and a little bit of constructive criticism.
I recently visited the spa for a massage and my massage therapist’s name began with an ‘L’ and ends with an ‘a’ and rhymes with Brenda (don’t want to put her name out there like that ;-)). I don’t know if she was a new employee, tired, or just plain didn’t know what she was doing, but if I had to rate my massage on a scale of 1 – 10, I’d give it a ‘5’… and that’s being generous. The massage started off well, but eventually it kinda seemed like the technician was doing what she thought was supposed to be done, but wasn’t actually any type of massage technique. She would do certain things on the left side of my body, but not on the right side, every time she needed lotion or oil, she would remove both hands from my body for a few seconds and then resume the massage (I mean, isn’t it some type of rule to always keep one hand on the client’s body at all times?), she barely massaged my feet, but she rubbed my toes with one hand (?)… it was just confusing to me. After my massage I told her that I felt fine and I did tip her to be polite. She was friendly and professional, she just needs more experience. And after I got home, I noticed that my back and my feet still hurt! It was like I didn’t even get a massage! I was so disappointed since this was my third time here, I had taken the day off from work just to come, and my expectations were so high. I just hope that if I do come back again, the quality will be equal to what I received in past visits.

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this place! I hate to reveal this best kept secret because I want to only keep it to myself but I have to give props where the props are due!

Came here for my first time on an awesome Travelzoo deal last night. $ 79 for an hour facial and hour massage. The esthetician A, was amazing. I’m usually hesitant when it comes to facials because my skin is so sensitive and in the past facials (not at meridian) I’ve had, I feel like my skin looks more irritated than anything else, but my skin felt amazing after and definitely not irritated. Her touch was on point and I actually caught myself falling asleep a few times. I dont usually like people touching my face, which is why i dont particularly care for facials, but i have to say i would definitely do it again with her. The massage therapist was good, a little too gentle at times but after i told her to go a little stronger it was all good.
Overall i would definitely come again, in fact, they offered a 30% off deal if I booked another appointment to come back so I couldnt pass that up. I booked the $ 98 package, and after the 30%off, I paid $ 69. #WhatTheWhat
It’s also conveniently located next to the Citadel outlets so after a day of walking and shopping, it’s the perfect place to end the day. I’m looking forward to my 2 hour massage after the Holidays!!!

Meridian spa is very reminiscence of a Korean spa but with a pretentious fancy façade. I can’t fault them on their décor, as it requires a few photo opts with the upside down tree that is suppose to act as a chandelier. The interior designer gets a A+ but whoever the manager is needs to really double and triple check on the quality of everything else !
I walked into a room upstairs to lay on a typical massage bed that seemed to be the ones massage students use to practice on. The room was freezing cold and the 3 different sheets that were suppose to act as“blankets” did nothing to make the goosebumps on my body go away.
A huge no no in massage 101, is to have a Cold hand touch your warm naked body as you lie there naked in the freezing cold room.
I didn’t understand the process of lifting every single THIN sheet up one at a time wasting about 2.5 minutes each time of my precious massage moment! I sound annoyed right? Well, tell me how you would react when you have goosebumps all over your body! How can I be relax in a cold ass room with cold ass hands rubbing you down with cold ass massage lotions? When the shaking body wasn’t giving her a clue i was cold, I decided to say it out loud… She than added on with another thin ass sheet that added on to my sheet flipping time!

I went for a full body massage and a mini facial. I used their jacuzzi, mini pool, sauna, steam room, movie theater. they kept the place clean. I love this place. Oh my masseuse was Linda and my facial was A. I would do it all over again.

I found this location in Groupon (btw awesome deal) and then came into Unilocal for reviews… they were not exaggerating about the reviews. Great massage, facials, amenities, and beautiful theater room. Also Great customer service. Im definitely going back!

If you are gambling or staying at the Commerce Casino, Meridian Day Spa is a great way to enjoy a day of relaxation. I found their rates to be quite reasonable. It is located on the second floor of the Commerce Casino. There is a receptionist at the front desk who greets you and checks you in. It is advised that you arrive early so you can change into your robe. They recommend at least 15 minutes. When you check in, they give you a key which unlocks one of the lockers. In the locker awaits your robe and sandals. There is an attendant in the locker as well which was a surprise. Anyhow, you get into the robe and sandals and wait for your masseuse or facial.
I had the massage, so my masseuse escorted me into one of the private massage rooms. I had a wonderful massage and honestly wish it was longer than 60 minutes. I think next time, I’ll get a longer massage. Anyhow, you can also enjoy the amenities in the locker area: sauna, jacuzzi, etc. Your services include a 4 hour period to enjoy the amenities. I would definitely come back here if I am in the area. They are really busy during the weekends so make your appointment in advance.

I saw Michelle T heap praises on this place on one YT thread and since I pass by Commerce Casino a million times a week, I thought why not? And honestly, I got tired of getting those $ 30 butt squeezes from the foot spa places.
There’s a lot of parking space towards the back but I opted for valet because I thought they’d have the option for car cleaning at night. They don’t. But since I was already there, I jumped out in my chanclas, shorts and t-​shirt.
Props to everyone, from the valet to the concierge who assisted me to the ladies at the spa for treating me well and with respect in spite of how I was dressed. I know there are dress codes in certain places but people should still be treated with respect even if being turned away.

I was given a tour of the place before we started with the massage. It looked deserted but who’s complaining! The spa looked very clean and well kept. I love the staircase overlooking the lounge area. You do have to go up a floor to the massage rooms. They have a theater room if you feel like watching a movie or your favorite show, Jacuzzi and sauna rooms, shower area, bath area, and a… mmm… a separate room for those who want to sleep or read a book.
My masseuse was «A.» I’m sure it’s spelled differently but when I asked her to repeat her name when I didn’t get it the first time she said, «. like the letter A.» I’m sticking to that then.
She was very nice and accommodating. My back and shoulders give me the worst problems so I asked her to focus on them with moderate to high pressure. She totally nailed it. The massage was a perfect harmony between pleasure and pain. I fell asleep by the time she reached my feet. I woke up after an hour and a half of massage ready to go in their sauna.
15 — 20 minutes of sauna was really nice. It was just me but even if there were others in the room, I wouldn’t have noticed them. The steam was thick! Very relaxing.
A came back to let me know my milk bath was ready. She led me to the bathtub and I thought, «Water doesn’t look milky. Why is it blue?» Of course I didn’t say anything because I wanted to look cool and unfazed. The tub could’ve been filled with Coke or Pepsi and I still wouldn’t have batted an eyelash.

I don’t have any heart disease, HBP or diabetes (well, none that I know of) but guess what? My heart rate sky rocketed and I started getting a little headache. I tried to lower the water temperature but my HR stayed high. I got out not long after.
Be very aware of your body, people.
I ordered champagne but after about 10 minutes I was told it’ll take 20 more minutes to get the drink. I went back to the front desk and asked if I could have a beer instead. I was very serious about getting my relaxing Friday night. Unfortunately, getting a beer will take the same amount of time. I guess they were very busy.
Overall, I give it 5 stars because I liked the service and place. This is a perfect place to hang out if you have a whole day to while away. Just bring a book or watch a movie while you enjoy a couple of drinks. Don’t forget to bring a swimsuit if you want to go into the Jacuzzi. Or just go commando like what the other woman did while I was in the sauna.

That is the point of a SPA! So when my company invited some peeps out that had some deals around the city I QUICKLY SNATCHED up the one for MERIDIAN DAY SPA at a $ 50 value, after I ran back to my desk and checked out reviews on Unilocal.
The $ 50 multiple vouchers got me the following
1. 2 all day spa passes
2. A 30 minute Meridian Fusion Massage worth $ 40
3. A 30 minute Meridian Facial Fusion worth $ 39
4. Specialty 30 bath/​soak work $ 10 plus facility charge which is … Sorry I don’t know because I got in free
5. And a voucher for 50% off any treatment when I schedule a second treatment to come back another time.
This place is located in commerce in the Commerce Casino/​Crown Plaza hotel right off the 5 freeway! I think it took about 20 mins from my door to the SPA! They are in the process of remodeling and parking sucks but I hope that will get better!
Since I was spending some time with family over the long weekend I decided to take my cuz. We left her two ankle biters at the house with their dad, hopped in the car and drove away in the opposite direction and didn’t look back! HAHAH!
We were greeted with a WARM FRIENDLY smile as we walked in and all the staff in the casino were UBER NICE as well to direct us where to go! I handed over my vouchers and they stamped them and we were in. We both got a locker keys and since we had not been there before we also got the dime tour which was nice!
The facility was small but had EVERYTHING you might want in a SPA! There is a Jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, dry sauna, wet sauna, showers, lockers with robes and slippers, restroom, vanity with some hair products, toothbrushes, razors and shave cream, deodorant, lotion and tips. Sort of a mini Burke Williams except this place has a movie room with a handful of Netflix movies and it’s FREE! You just select what you want to see and that’s it! My ONLY issue with that was since it’s a spa it was a bit TOO dark to see the buttons but we figured it out. Also the volume was too low to here but like I said it’s a spa. It just made Sharknado even more HI-​LARIOUS with NO volume. I can’t believe that movie did well. They also have spa treatments like massages, facials, bath soaks, etc that you can purchase.
The best thing is that we were the ONLY two females on the women’s side! It was like our very own secluded spa! SO MUCH FRICKIN FUN! We enjoyed the Jacuzzi, and both saunas then we watched a movie and took a couple cat naps in the quiet room. There was cold water which was NICE to stay hydrated!
It was GREAT NOT HAVING to drive to the Block or Torrance for Burke Williams and also NICE NOT HAVING to drive to Temecula or Brea for Glen Ivy spa! EVERY treatment and package is UBER affordable and (listen up guys) makes the PERFECT gift for that special someone in your life!
This was PERFECT for what we wanted which was to get away for a while RELAX and TURN DOWN! This place is GREAT for a near-​by brain and body reset!
Next time you hear Turn Down for what? You answer should be… The MARIDIAN DAY SPA in Commerce!

Meridian is definitely a diamond in the rough. You would never guess this oasis is in the middle of Commerce right off the freeway. I had my reservations seeing as it’s in the casino (rather the hotel attached to the casino) in an industrial area, but I love it here! For the price, you can’t get a better value. I had the best spa day with my girlfriends!
The whole spa is clean and nicely decorated. The whole place flows together well from the lobby, to the locker room, to the massage rooms. They have all the amenities that you could want: HOT TUB, COLD TUB, SAUNA, STEAM ROOM. They have private showers with overhead, face level, chest level, and handheld spray options. There’s also a QUIET ROOM and the rare MOVIE ROOM where you can relax and watch Netflix. The special touch I really enjoyed was the ICED FACE TOWELS infused with aromatherapy. They were perfect after being in the hot steam room. They also have soaking tubs they’ll set up for you for a nominal fee ($ 10 for 30 minutes.)
I had an hour long massage with Aricelli and she did a wonderful job. She LOOSENED THE KNOTS IN MY NECK, BACK, AND SHOULDERS WITHOUT KILLING ME. She was very thorough. I felt sooooo good!
I had a Travelzoo voucher for an hour massage plus an hour facial. However, the week before my appointment, I had a really bad reaction on my face from a new product I tried. I was worried to put anything else on my face, since I had a special occasion coming up. The manager of the spa was kind enough to let me split my services into two separate appointments, so that I could have my facial on a later date. That’s good customer service, they were well within their rights to refuse. The person who booked my appointment and the person who checked us out were very nice as well.
I have a just a couple of suggestions that would make this place perfect.
–The hot tub whirlpool should be hotter.
–The steam room was far too hot. They usually go off for a while and then stop, this one just kept going.
–The person who checked us in could have been more pleasant.
Ultimately, the facility is almost as great as BW, but at less than half the price (regular 1 hour massage price is $ 64) it’s the best! I’m a fan and I’ll definitely be back.
P. S. You can valet, but there’s plenty of free parking in all lots.
