J&J Fence

After seeing some of the reviews here I felt like I was going «out on a limb» choosing these guys for a gate & fence at a property in Marina del Rey. But Maynor (the guy on the phone & email) and the guy who came out to measure were both very polite and professional. Their bid came in at two-​thirds the cost of the nearest competitor, so it was hard to NOT try them out at such a good price.
Well, I’m not at all disappointed. They did a GREAT job and I didn’t even need to be there for the installation (project was 2-​hr drive from my home). They stuck to their original estimate on a custom steel gate & fence job, so I’d be inclined to use them again with no reservations.

an estimator came out, I explicitly told him NOT to go on the neighbors property he could measure completely from my side as the old fence is one foot into my property
He went into the neighbors front and the neighbor came out with his camera, and started a confrontation. I was over watching this from my doorstep.
All I wanted was a quote for removing an old fence and building a new one on my property line. They couldn’t even do that.

I talked to Maynard on Friday and he had someone out on Tuesday to look over the job. Maynard called on Wednesday with a very fair quote for replacing our RV parking fence/​gate. I feel comfortable using them for the work. (Will update my review after they install).

No return of phone calls… Poor customer service.

Jesse and his guys recently installed a new vinyl fence on our property. The new fence is gorgeous … a huge improvement over the neighbor’s termite riddled and rotted wood fence it now covers! Jesse was even nice enough to help us out with pouring a concrete pad so our water fountain would have a stable base.
The guys were all very nice and professional. They made sure that each of the posts was perfectly straight and when they were done they cleaned the yard of all the debris that goes along with this sort of project.
We’re very happy with our new fence and would recommend J&J Fence to anyone looking to add or replace a fence on their property.

The guy that answers the phone has absolutely no customer skills and does not care about giving an in home estimate. He quotes over the phone and that’s it. Like it or not.

Same as review above. I called and spoke with a guy who never showed up. No call no show. Don’t bother. Move on.

On the 8^th, our home was broken into, which prompted us to find someone to install bars on the side and back windows. We reached out to J&J after finding them when doing a Google search.
Jesse was incredibly helpful and friendly, and arranged to come out to our house on Friday in order to get us a quote. He not only took our order, and ensured us it would be available within a week, but the pricing was incredibly reasonable for 8 windows, and we felt confident that everything would be done.
Yesterday, Jose, and a few of his men came to install the bars. They were coming from another job that morning, so Jesse made sure to be in touch with me during the day to give me an ETA on the guys doing the installation. They were really friendly, got the job done quickly and properly, and Jose made sure to walk me through and show me all the work and how to secure the bars in the bedrooms and also use the emergency release feature properly before they left. They also made sure to clean up their supplies and vacuum the area right under the two windows with the release mechanism.
I’m so grateful to these guys for helping us to fee safer in our new home, and I really appreciate how quickly and easily it was done!

Don’t even bother. Called Jose 3 times and sent requested pics and no call back. Customer service is the first step to a good business and this company offers NONE.
