We provide the only world-​class, low cost, soccer training programs & camps coached by Nationally Accredited NCACE trained coaches offering recreational, competitive, special needs & adult programs where Everyone Plays®!

Our program’s goal is for kids to play soccer. We mandate every player on every team plays at least 50% of every game. It’s no fun sitting on the bench and that’s no way to learn soccer!

Balanced Teams are formed each year for a fun and better learning experience leveling play. It allows each player to gain experience from a wide variety of teammates of different skill levels.

Open Registration to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.

Positive Coaching encouraging player effort provides for greater enjoyment and leads to better-​skilled and better-​motivated players. A coach can be one of the most influential people in a child’s life, so AYSO requires they create a positive experience for every boy and girl.

Good Sportsmanship creating a positive good sportsmanship environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-​at-​all-​costs attitude.

Player Development developing all players soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.

History

Established in 1983.

AYSO was established in Los Angeles in 1964 by a group of devoted soccer enthusiasts with only 9 teams. Today, AYSO has 50,000 teams and over 500,000 players employing 50 people at the AYSO National Office in Torrance, CA.

Over the years, AYSO has created many valuable programs and concepts. Most notably, AYSO revolutionized youth sports with its «Everyone Plays®» and «Balanced Teams» philosophies. In AYSO «EVERY» player is guaranteed to play 50% of every game. To help create evenly matched games, all AYSO players are placed on new «balanced» teams each year based on each player’s skill level and the overall ability of the team.

Concord AYSO was piloted in 1983 with 4 teams and chartered today is the only region within Area 2C «FULLY» supporting a VIP and Adult program while still delivering high quality youth soccer programs to 4 –U19, 4-​U16, 11-​U14, 14-​U12, 19-​U10, 21-​U8, 24-​U6, 6-​VIP, and 10-​Adult teams taking 10 teams to the AYSO National Games 2014.

Hard to beleive, My Life Partner Francisco and our 2 yr old son Jacob, 9 years ago moved to Concord «where families come first.» Our son wanted to play soccer so I went to an in person registration event. It was there that he tugged on my shirt and insisted I be his soccer coach 7 years ago. I have grown and learned right along with with him coming to love and play the game of soccer becoming an intermediate trained coach and referee, Boys Coach Coordinator, Assistant Regional Commissioner, Regional Commissioner and am now 1.5 years through my 3 year term. I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment and enjoy working with our youth teaching the game of soccer positive coaching and being a positive role model where: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Good Sportsmanship, Positive Coaching, and Player Development are firmly rooted within AYSO’s Philosophies learning the game of soccer and life long lessons.
