Estoy tan molesta con este lugar jamas en mi vida volvere a comprar comida en este lugar fui hoy y se tardaron más de una hora en darme mi orden de 10 pupusas y para terminar las pupusas crudas este lugar no le recomiendo a nadie a ir a comer o ordenar algo son el peor lugar entoda la area!!!

Very good pupusas and the frijole empanadas was excellent! We will definitely return to try the shrimp cocktail!

Authentic, delicious Salvadoran food. Pupusas are amazing here, as is the cortido. Haven’t had any of the seafood but looks good also. Appears to be a family run establishment. They put a lot of care into making the food and it is excellent. Not located in the best part of town, and the interior is lacking if you’re looking for fancy décor, but its spacious and plenty of room to bring a large group. Good restaurant, good prices too.

S o i ended up going to this salvadorian place i didnt know if either to walk in or not but as soon as i walked in it wus the nicest pleseant place you could walk in to. :) i liked it because the music was not offensive at all and the pupusas mannnn they were off the hook best pupusas out here in the bay!!! you have to try them queso con Loroco and the revuelta those are the best pupusas ever !!! i really liked this place and if you are looking for 100% authentic food i recommened Restaurante el Guanaco !!! by the way the owner is really respectful and kind… Another thing when it comes to salvadorian food you can tell whether its really salvadorian? how? well let me tell you the beans says it all it speaks for its self they are really good have very good flavor and just make your mouth rock ! when i was on lunch i tried therre pupusa combo best deal ever !!! rice and beans 2 pupusas of ure own kind foe only $ 9.95 its really worth it !!! like i said you want real pupusas come to. this awsome family owned salvadorian restaurant they are really great people they know how to take care of there customers …

So I get a message from someone at the restaurant telling me that the bathroom wasn’t broken. He put a lock on it because homeless try to go in there and use the restroom. And that all I had to do was ask for the key. Ummm… you had a sign on the door saying bathroom wasn’t working. It didn’t say ask for key!

Hello El Salvadorean tamales! Where have you been all my life! I would eat these everyday if i could! Yes am seriously this is a must try! The papusas were delicious, my eight year old love them. It was here first time trying them… she said that they were sooo good! The cost of a meal for a family of 5 was very reasonable. The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is amazing!

My grandmother n my husband love it we orderd pupusas n atol De Elote was delicious love the chips freshly made salsa fresh I would come back we recommend clean quiet !!

This place is ridiculous! Before anyone goes and calls me racist, I’m half Salvadorean and have parents who immigrated to this country. The people at this restaurant either need to hire an English speaking person to answer the phone and take orders or move back to their country and serve them! I called wanting to order some Pupusas and as an English speaking person I of course start off speaking English. The women there will put me on hold for days because they don’t understand what I’m saying and then I have to resort to speaking Spanish with them. Is it a real inconvenience for me to talk their language? No! But I have little respect for those that come here and choose not to learn it! My entire family came here and has learned the language. Even my grandmother can hold a decent conversation in English and she never went to school to learn it.
They’re food is decent but their service is horrible. I resort to this restaurant because concord only has one other decent Salvadorean restaurant. Also, if you stop by their restaurant to pick up the order, expect to wait because not only are they intimidated to take orders from people who speak English, they’ll also ignore you if you look like you don’t speak Spanish. My husband hates picking up my orders since they always turn their backs to him as if they want him to leave. Crazy!!!

This place is located right off the freeway (the 24) in a not so great area of town. There are always a few «weird» people hanging around, I think because of the convenience store right next door, but it never deters me from getting my pupusas from here.
I always order the pupusas combo from here, which is 2 pupusas of your own choice, rice, beans, cortido, and hot sauce. I like how the pupusas are made to order so it does take awhile to get your order, but having freshly made pupusas are seriously the best. My favorite ones are the queso con chicharron and just plain queso.
Service isn’t the greatest and the place could use a little cleaning, but they always get my order right and they always give me big portions. Food is fresh and delicious. Parking is also not a problem. There is plenty of it.

INVEST IN AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM! There is no air flow in this this restaurant, it was super hot inside, and there was too many flies. So if you want to dine in with special guests with wings, this is the place!
I literally had to let that out since it’s the only reason why I can’t dine here again. I love me some pupusas and there isn’t that many places in the area that makes them the way they do. Their pupusas taste the closest to authentic. I also ordered the chicken tamales and to be honest, it wasn’t my cup of tea. It was wrapped in a banana leaf and if you’ve ever had «Suman» (A filipino dessert made out of sweet rice wrapped in a banana leaf), it tasted like that, except it was made with masa harina.
Aside from the flies and the fact that it felt like a toaster oven inside, I’d probably just order for take out whenever I have my pupusa craving.

I usually love this place. The food is great and cheap. Today I walked in when the doors were wide open and got told by 2 guys who were sitting at some table far away from the door «eh we’re closed!». If you’re closed then close your doors and don’t be dicks about people (I’ve been going to this place WAY before they bought it) walking in to your restaurant.

First time on salvadorean cuisine. Wife & I shared the plato tipico (6 kinds) and the bistec encebollado. Great introduction… from the pupusa, empanada, pastel, yucca con chicharon… and the owner was super nice.

This place is one of those if you’re lucky you will come across it. The pupusas are off the chain! Revueltas, queso, queso con loroco all good, I can’t choose a favorite one.
My husband & I went in to order, he thought they were going to take long because we ordered close to 20, but the lady was fast! When this usually happens it means they won’t be as good as other places NOT the case here.
We will definitely be back for more & to try out other yummy food.

Never had el Salvadorian food, tried the mixed plate really good food and fresh. Seasoning was good but no spices at the table? I’m not sure if this is how they eat without spices or maybe I should have asked. Either way I would come back to try other dishes!

AMAZING food. The service was just as good as the food. Great prices for a nice family ran restaurant. Will deff entry be going there again when I’m back in town.

So I have always been a fan of this place… until today. They butchered our order and gave me the saddest looking carne asada plate ever. A burned tiny piece of meat in an oversized styrofoam container was not the business. The fact that when I complained, I got to wait 10 minutes for them to talk about me/​situation and then throw their hands up and be done with it just threw out the window all the other times I did enjoy them. I received a refund and nothing so much as a sorry, or we would like to fix the situation. Won’t be back.

El Guanaco definitely is a salvadorean eatery. the token mexican burritos & tacos are present. all other entrees are salvadroean. pics of entrees are on the right wall. (pricing only listed on flyer on counter).

It’s a common salvadorian or Mexican place with the bonus of service from their very own 2ft by 1 ft grill. Better not show up hungry or in a hurry.
Food is alright, but when u ask the guy if he can make a Shrimp and steak burrito with the offer to pay more money and he says we don’t do that here you might wanna question their business plan.

This was my first time eating El Salvadorian food. It got a burrito and two pupusas. I didn’t even know what a pupusas is. I loved the food. It was very delicious.
Since I ordered the food to go, I ate this at home. The two Pupusas filled me up. I saved the burrito for another day. It was great the next day. I’ll be back.

Today I was craving Salvadorian food. I went to my usual El Salvadorian place over in Todos Santos Park but they were closed with a note on the door that said this place was open. So we decided to try it out.
The place has the same owner and menu, but this is a casual order and pay at the counter and they deliver the food to you. When we arrived at 5:20pm there was only 1 cashier and one cook. We ordered our usual, 1 shrimp cocktail, 4 pupusa’, carne asada. The pupusa’ looked and tasted the same as El Salvadorian, the shrimp cocktail was a BIG disappointment, the few small shrimps that there were, were small, rubbery like they were microwaved with little taste. There was no chucks of avocado in my shrimp cocktail. It was awful. And the waitress never caught our order for the carne asada so after every thing else was eaten and we inquired about it. She never wrote it down. Service was slow. Very slow.
I asked how long they been open and the cashier said 6 months. I would think with it being open 6 months they would have worked out some of the kinks so service would be better and the food would match their main restaurant.
After this experience it also makes me rethink if we will dine at their main restaurant.

You know what would have been really, really disappointing? If the closest taqueria to our new house were really, really disappointing. Fortunately, I have been quite pleased with El Comal.
First trip: Flautas meal. $ 8.50 Meh. The flautas were too chewy but served with good rice, beans, chips and two kinds of salsa.
Meal #2: Super taco meal. $ 8.50 Steak taco was giant and delicious. Still solid rice, beans, chips and two kinds of salsa.
Meal #3: Vegetarian nachos. $ 6.50ish They are not joking around with their vegetables. Zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms… all sauteed up fresh. My only complaint is that all the veggie, beans, tomatoes, sour cream and thick slices of avocado they put on top made the chips soggy. Flavor was still great and I used the chips provided on the side with every meal to scoop up the goodness.
