Great prices countered by horrible lack of organization(picture aisles tossed together with products not really organized at all, just aisles of what may be great finds, or may be junk) which adds to the problem of being able to find what you want, before you vomit on the floor from the stench of reeking, decomposing fish emanating from the back of the place. I shopped here twice out of sheer desperation for ingrediants, but I think I’ve found a replacement. Good luck, Golden Bay.. .

EWWW!!! This place REEKS of dead rotting fish. AND!!! Have you seen their freezers? overflowing with items that have probably stayed in there longer than their expiration date. You can totally see the freezer-burn! I’m forced to come here to buy their $ 5 phone cards that my mom uses to call her friends and family in the Philippines. I’ve tested my lung power and know that I can only hold my breath for 1 minute and 48 seconds.

This tiny Asian market has fallen by the wayside in recent years. With the much larger County Square a few minutes away, I really haven’t found reason to come here anymore, except on rare occasion. My main issues are that Golden Bay is really cluttered(boxes stacked up in the aisles, random food products shoved into freezer cases) and dirty. Because it’s such a small place, the selection is limited, especially when it comes to fresh fruit and veggies. And I really think the stench has gotten worse over the years. If the place was cleaner and more organized, I’d probably shop here a little more often. But with Ranch 99 moving into the same shopping center, I doubt this place will be able to survive.

this place never disappoints. all sorts of treats in this market… i’m a junk food connoisseur and this place definitely satisfies the never ending munchies… shrimp chips galore… their meat and veggies are much cheaper than the mainstream groceries… its pretty small and stanky but its definitely worth your time
