Not the best when it comes to ramen but when it comes to rice+beef covered in teriyaki sauce. That the best! I prefer this place for their appetizers like gyoza its way better than the Ramen Hiroshi one. When it comes to the services its not that great much they could do better than that

The noodles aren’t much different from those that you get in the little 89 cent package at Safeway. The flavor is okay, and the service can be painfully slow. It is only slightly better than do it yourself for actual ramen.

It was definitely hard to decide between a 3&4-star because of the following: Food– Delicious! I ordered a tan tan ramen & the taste of the noodles tasted amazing! The taste of the broth & the amount of meat in the ramen was lacking though. Hubby ordered a clay hotpot & omg that was soooo good! The waitress brought out the food & it was still steaming in the pot. Pure deliciousness! Atmosphere– Very very quiet. Why not play some music? It was so awkwardly quiet. Other than that, theres plenty of seating. Service– Waiters were quite attentive and making sure tables were getting everything they need. Also it was nice to see that the employees werent on their cellphones when it wasnt busy. One thing i would suggest is that they become familiar w/the menu because asking simply what kind of seafood is in the ramen or what kind of veggies there are in a certain bowl is really insightful for the customers who are ordering. Also, another reason i give this place a 3-star instead of a 4-star is because the cleanliness of the place could be cleaned a little better. There was residue on the salt & pepper shakers, dirt on the floor that could have simply be swept, & the restrooms needed a little more attention. Other than that, this review could be updated when i make another trip over here & see if there are any improvements.

I asked for a recommendation and was told the«crowd favorite» is the spicy beef ramen and the spicy seafood ramen. I usually don’t eat spicy food, but I figured I’d give the spicy beef ramen a try. My spicy beef ramen came out and it looked really intimidating. The broth itself is completely red. I was scared to even try it because I thought I wouldn’t be able to handle it. Well… I tried it and immediately was disappointed. For someone who usually doesn’t eat spicy food, I tasted little to no spice. It was only til the end of my bowl when I started to feel it was somewhat spicy. I can’t imagine the disappointment of spice level for the avid spice eater. The broth itself is completely bland. The bowl definitely smelled better than it taste. There was little to no beef(I eat my beefy at the end, save the best for last. The shredded beef that was in my bowl only filled up one spoon full) I also noticed a few veggie floating in my soup. There were so little of it, I wasn’t sure if it was intended to come with the soup or if the chef accidentally dropped a few pieces in my bowl. I ordered pepsi, a spicy beef ramen, but really all I got was noodles, bland red broth, little beef and little veggies. I paid $ 17 and some change not including tip. With tip, I left a $ 20 bill. This was the most expensive bland lunch I’ve ever had. Probably won’t be coming back.

You usually get an egg with your ramen at other places. And from what I saw the egg was hard boiled instead of soft, so we did not get the egg. I ordered the kimchi ramen and the wife ordered the seafood ramen. It was good.

When my friend googled a ramen location passing the toll bridge plaza I didn’t expect this place to show up only because I never really heard of a ramen place in concord. I was pretty skeptic about this place because of the store sign. It didn’t look to good but as soon as my friends were seated the food came out fairly fast. Our whole entire bill came out to $ 77 plus 15% gratuity… wasn’t even included… that’s a lot for 4 bowls of ramen &3 appetizers. Sure enough I’ve been to other places and it cost less than $ 50. I don’t know… it tasted awesome but very expensive. Just needs a better look on the outside…

I ordered the Sesame Ramen and my girl ordered the Spicy Beef Ramen. Both were really good and we did enjoy our service from our server. I wish they were open a little late since i leave work at 9. Overall thougg, I’d come back again. Most places were closed between 2 to 5 and i was hungry for ramen in between those hours. Lucky to have found this place. Prices and servings were acceptable.

Husband and I stopped in here for appetizer and dinner several months ago. We shared an order of gyoza and each enjoyed a hot bowl of soup for about $ 20. Service was friendly and our food came out fast. It wasn’t very busy when we walked in and our server was very attentive. The gyoza was hot and crispy. We were really happy with how it was served. Soup was good also. I love hot soup and the broth here was very flavorful. We had an overall very good experience.

I don’t know what I was expecting but our chicken ramen tasted like fishy plastic. My boyfriend who eats EVERYTHING had to throw it away :( Pot stickers were good but we won’t be back

The food here is great. I also love that you can order sushi and stuff from their sister restaurant I Love Teriyaki & Sushi next door to be sent over. What sets this place at the top is their service. The servers here and next door at their sister restaurant are the best. Easy parking next to the restaurant in the parking garage. Easy walk downtown for a night cap or a stroll to walk off a full belly.

+ Clean + Good service Tonkatsu ramen, extra pork. Requested for it to be spicy but I guess it’s not an option. Waitress brought me siracha. The pork was ice cold on top of the soup, leading me to believe that it’s precooked and sits in a fridge. Soup base(the most important part) lacked flavor and was not the complex base you expect from a $ 11.99 bowl of ramen. I’d look elsewhere for ramen.

We decided to come here while in Concord. The food and service was ok. We’ve been to a couple Ramen restaurants and we thought the place was a bit pricey. Unilocal shows this place with one $. The restaurant was more of a two $$. We spent about $ 53 for the following: 2 Combo Set 12.99 each(plus $ 1.00 extra for egg) Reg Spicy Beef Ramen 9.99(plus $ 1.00 extra included for egg) Chicken Omurice $ 9.99 The waiter nor their sign mentioned anything about the additional $ 1 for an egg. Their sign only states«Egg serve upon request only». For the quality/price of the ramen, the egg should have already been included. Not worth paying extra for it. Parking was easy. They share a parking garage with a movie theater and other shops. Overall, this restaurant is average… three star.

THEWORSTTONKOTSURAMEN I HAVEEVERHAD. I had high hopes for their noodles since it’s called«I Love Noodles.» I’m a huge fan of Japanese ramen and on cold days like today, I love a bowl of hot, salty bowl of ramen. Ordered the tokotsu-gyoza combo. Not only did the tonkotsu ramen smell horrid, it tasted like two drops of broth to hot tap water. The clearest broth coupled with fatty, jingling chashu? No thank you. Returned the bowl after two spoons and got miso ramen instead. The server was nice enough to switch the menu with no questions. To be honest, the miso ramen is pretty bad too, although not as bad as the tonkotsu. The broth actually did taste like miso soup. All in all, I would have enjoyed an instant bowl from a grocery store more than from this noodle specialty restaurant.

I’ve only tried their Spicy Beef Ramen but it was perfect. I had the regular serving and it was still too much food. It was just the right temperature, perfectly spicy and the noodles were fantastic. I can’t wait to go back and try some more dishes!

One of the best plates of «I don’t know what I just ate» I’ve ever had. I got the Omurice with Pork. From what I could tell, they took a fried egg and wrapped it burrito-style around a large amount of fried rice interspersed with generous helpings of pork. There was a small side salad that came with it that was composed of… something. I’m really not sure what. But it was delicious, whatever it was. For dessert was chocolate mochi ice cream. The waitress tried to explain what it was precisely but honestly I couldn’t understand what she was saying(which kind of makes me feel like a heel). Anyway, whatever it was, it too was delicious. I’m not exactly well-versed in Japanese cuisine so it could be that this place isn’t really that great as compared with others. Since I don’t know about that I’m not going to comment on it — but I am going to say that it’s better than most other things I’ve had recently.

It was one of those cold windy nights and what better way to warm up than with Ramen? I’ve seen this place multiple times when I go to Brendan Theaters and have always wanted to try it which I finally did. I like they close fairly late for the area(10PM) and that the food didn’t take too long to come out. I got their large spicy beef ramen which wasn’t that«spicy» but definitely had some kick to it. Their broth was very good and not too oily like some ramen broths might be. However, they can use some better noodles. I felt like the noodles they used were almost identical to those from a Maruchan Ramen noodles. If they change their noodles, easily a good go to. Also, the chef gave us complementary braised spicy pork ribs which are new to the menu. The ribs were very tender and the meat came off the bone with ease. The spice level wasnt that spicy but was definitely delicious. Good pairing with perhaps some cold flavored sake or even a beer! *Note: I love spicy food. So «not that spicy» to me might be pretty spicy to you. :)

This is not phở so if you are expecting that it won’t meet your craving. Think about childhood ramen but better. Just their regular size ramen bowl are loaded with noodles. The broth is flavorful and has a nice kick to it. I tried the spicy beef and tan tan noodle. Both were good but the meat on the tan tan was not as lean as on the spicy beef noodle bowl. The girl that works here is very friendly and even recommended dishes to try. Quick service, clean and good ramen! I will be back =)

They have move up the scale in my book. The place looks exactly the same, as before, plain. The staff is still friendly. While they are still not the over the top ramen shops in the peninsula, they are still really good. I am not sure what they did with the ramen, but the texture and taste is definitely better than before. They constantly add new and interesting stuff on the specials. Gyoza: I think they deep fried this stuff, it comes out almost too crispy. Still enjoyable. Tonkotsu ramen/curry chicken bowl combo: A smaller portion of both, it’s a nice touch if you just want to sample a little of each. Ramen was good, the broth was tasty and great texture for the ramen. Curry chicken bowl could be better, but still good. They basically use the Korean style grill chicken over rice with curry sauce on top. Not all the sauce was on the chicken. Kimchi fried rice: this is the second time I ordered this, a big plate of kimchi fried rice, top with fish flakes. It was a savory wonderland. Hard to describe(see pic), you have to come and try it yourself.

Sometimes cravings need to be covered no matter what it takes. I almost always have a craving for Ramen so to have a local spot that I can go to when my need is high is simply convenient. In all honesty if there was some serious competition I probably couldn’t muster up the need t come here but alas here there I was. The ramen is cheap and it pairs with the quality. It’s not far from the packaged noodles you can find at a good Asian market. Noodles were clumpy but slurpable. Broth is palatable but not very rich and deep in flavor. Cha Su is a bit dry but tasty. If you’re wondering I specifically had the miso here. The positive to my journey here is the service is at least really friendly and as I mentioned earlier it’s cheap. I’m willing to pay out the ass for a great bowl but I also hate getting ripped off. You get what you pay for here but you get it with a smile.

Was desperate for some ramen and this little place showed up since we were in the area. There was only one server but he did a good job at getting around to everyone. I ended up ordering the combo set of tonkotsu ramen with a mini rice bowl of teriyaki beef, while my boyfriend ordered the spicy beef ramen. We also ordered the fried oyster appetizer. The fried oyster appetizer was quite tasty which surprised me. I’ve had fried oysters before and I didn’t really like it because I couldn’t really taste anything. But over here, the batter is really light so it doesn’t take away from the oyster and you can really taste the oyster flavor. It’s cooked well that it doesn’t taste mushy or over cooked. They definitely won me over on fried oysters. Our ramen came out next. My combo set looked small on the outside, but as I was eating, the bowl was quite deep so I always kept finding more noodles in my bowl even though I thought I was almost done with it. The broth was good but a tad too salty for me. I think my taste buds were off though since I was getting over a cold at the time. But my boyfriend said my broth tasted fine and didn’t find it overly salty, so I blame it on my cold. And the beef teriyaki was flavored well. I was given extra teriyaki sauce but I didn’t really need it since the beef was already so flavorful. I didn’t get to try the spicy beef ramen but my boyfriend said it was good and it was our waiter’s recommendation so it’s worth a try. Despite the fact that the restaurant was running on one waiter and one cook, our waiter did a great job catering to everyone’s needs on his own.
