The current staff was professional and courteous

This place was ruined when purchased by iStorage last year. Office hours were reduced, rent was increased, and the personal communications (i.e. individual emails) that were sent by the previous owners have been replaced by a stream of generic corporate email blasts.
Anyone who is commenting favorably on this place now must have very low expectations. If you like having your rent raised with a reduction in services and like to receive rude impersonal emails — then this is the place for you.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. She is super nice to answer all questions and very helpful in assisting me. The space is affordable and the price is fair! Great space for storage!

Don’t use iStorage in Concord, the new staff are assholes. The former staff when they were Concord Storage were great. These new people dramatically raised storage fees without notice, charged an extra insurance fee, can’t get their record keeping straight, tack on a huge late fee that they want immediately and threaten liens even when it’s their fault. I have had the storage locker for 7 years and I’m going to move the first chance.

Worst storage facility I have ever used. Was late on a payment, ended up double locked out. Payed in full what I owed them and a week later, still have no access to my belongings. Now my son, who is in town to spend time with me, is forced to sleep on the floor. Let’s just say they will be hearing from my lawyer tomorrow.

Do not go here if your military! Not military friendly and you will get screwed. PCS means nothing to them. I couldn’t even get the manager to talk to me. She kept having her employee do it. I’ve even called the corporate office and they didn’t give a crap either. They are rude and unprofessional. I wish I could give 0 stars. Even if your not military I wouldn’t recommend this place.
This company bought out the company I originally signed a contract with. They made no contact with me to let me know of the changes, started charging me more money, continue to charge my account after I moved all my stuff out, and refuse to refund my money. I kept asking for this new contact I supposedly signed and all they do is give me the run around. To this day, I still have no contract but yet they continue to charge my account. Yeah, I to report them. It’s been a nightmare! DO NOT GO HERE!!!

**************UPDATE 4÷6÷2015: the corporate office called me today to apologize — apparently they have a new computer system and it does not allow for prorate or changes by the staff if you start at the end of the month, and Evan from iStorage sincerely apologized and said they hope to fix this issue sometime soon. Regardless, they ARE going to honor the original special of three months at 50% off. As you can see from my review below, overall I was very much satisfied with the professionalism of the staff and the layout of the property, and I’d HIGHLY recommend coming here. If you have any pricing issues, just beware that if the local staff can’t help you, to take it to the corporate office and they’ll fix it up.
FIVE STARS for stellar service. First impressions count and my sales clerk was presentable and very friendly and professional.
I’m rating lower stars because I called earlier this week and was told by an Alberto that there were two 5×4 spaces open, and he informed me he had reserved one for me (I called on Wednesday and came in today, on a Saturday). It would be $ 58 flat, no fees attached. Needless to say, when I got there, all of the 5×4’s were sold out, and one had a damaged door. The very friendly and personable sales clerk showed me a 5×6 and gave me several attractive pricing options. One of these was three months at 50% off, pre-​paid. This was excellent, because I plan on storing my items for about six months or so. Well, since today is the 28^th, iStorage counts March as a «month» rather than prorating it, so I am essentially getting four days at $ 31.00, and then the other two months at $ 31.00 each. What a rip off! $ 31 for four days!!!
Why they don’t let you prorate and then honor the monthly rate at the beginning of the month is beyond me, but definitely a good marketing ploy to get you in the door and signed up.
The woman who helped me could not make any adjustments, thus I had to choose the lesser of two evils and take the bait. Too bad my move cannot wait for Wednesday, April 1^st, then I would actually benefit from said promotion. There is no worse word of mouth advertisement (or Unilocal review) than one where a customer accurately points out being wringed out for cash on a loophole.
I would recommend you shop around and ask to get pricing details emailed to you in writing before going in.

The OLD STORAGE COMPANY AND STAFF WERE GREAT! THIS NEW iSTORAGE IS WELL… LESS THAN SO. I would go elsewhere if you can. Seems like the personnel rotate every couple weeks and when you actually get forced to call until a body actually answers the phone because they don’t return emails, left messages etc. to remedy a problem, they say it has been completed and then do nothing. I had to actually drive down to handle a simple issue that still did not get resolved. There is only 1 real nice person there (Torrance) and the remainder must currently be attending a 12-​step on how to provide good customer service but I think they played hookie. Booooo

Friendly & helpful staff, okay hours, reasonable price. I got a good deal pay full price first month second month free! I would recommend.

I’ve had a storage unit for years and have changed locations a number of times due to problems with the facility and staff. I’ve now been with Concord Self Storage for about three years and I have no complaints. I pay my bill in person each month and the staff has been friendly and helpful.
I did a lot of research on rates and they are on par with other facilities. They also offer specials that can help lower the cost.
Once when they washed the outside of my unit some of the water seeped in and left a residue on some of my things, but they gave me a month free to compensate for my having to clean them.
I can recommend them.

If you are looking for friendly and kind service, I highly recommend that you go else where. The man helping us at the front desk was down right rude, and very much resembled Kip from Napoleon dynamite (wearing glasses and a mustache). Don’t ever walk through the office for it «is a liability issue.» The man straight up said in a rude tone that «he did not know us and that he will not let us walk through the office» multiple times. I was going to inquire about storage for myself however I never plan on coming back.
Plus, disregard the 5 start comment that was given previously. Employees and family members have biased opinions.

I finally bowed to the inevitable — I got a space to store all my bachelor furniture as I upgrade to married furniture (again, and for the LAST time). I could throw it away, but do our landfills really need MORE Ikea stuff in them? When I decide on a day to not be lazy, I’ll Craigslist it all, but until then, it’s gonna sit. I got a decent deal on the rate, and my mad Tetris skills allow me to make the most of a 10×5 space. Their location is perfect — just off the freeway and five minutes from my Walnut Creek abode.
They lose a star because they aren’t 24-​hour access, so I can’t store emergency items like my motorcycle ramp there — I work a rotating shift, and for some reason I only get flat tires on my bike when I’m commuting in the middle of the night. They lose another star because apparently the individual renting the space adjacent to mine is storing four ton’s worth of homeless people’s dirty laundry. There can be no other explanation for that smell.
If you have sturdy items that you need to store long-​term and to which you won’t need immediate access, I can recommend Concord Self Storage.

We’ve been storing things here for years. Heard about it from my sister and brother in law. We’ve never had any problems with Concord Self Storage. The people in the office are always helpful, friendly and nice. Their rates are reasonable.
Office open: 8 am — 5:30 pm (7 days a week)
Gates open: 7 am — 6:30 pm Sundays, Mondays
7 am — 7:30 pm Tuesdays — Saturdays
Closed some holidays.
