oh my gosh confirmation of him being the worst doctor ever is confirmed and the gal that says kaiser is a thrifty hospital must have been brainwashed by doctor jain – anyhow – here we go – this will be funnnnn!!!
it’s very important that when you see someone as a doctor you can trust that person with your health not dr jain i, i trust him, yes, by being the worst doctor ever stay away. even if you see him for free stay away – stay away.
so…i have a driving service. and a gentleman that i drive to an appointment one day has… are you kidding me.dr. jain??? no way.so.because i want to keep this client i tell him my problems with dr. jain.
guess what??? he had exactly the same kind of problems that i did. and guess what. he did the same thing i did. get a doctor that knows what they are doing i do not trust this doctor neither should you.
my doctor at kaiser is twenty times better then doctor jain-​confirmed by someone that i drive do not waste your time with dr. jain– he is the worst – i want to him…-15 stars. he is that bad!!!
never ever ever knock on kaiser.never.ever.ever yell at a patient. never call a patient to make an appointment… this guy. i just don’t know how he can be a doctor – he is the worst dr. you will ever visit.

Just to clarify my previous review so there is no misunderstanding, I never saw Dr. Vinita Jain, only Dr. Vivek Jain so my comments only referred to him. I understand some people may like them and write glowing reviews which is the whole purpose of multiple reviews. But I do have to point out a couple inconsistencies in the flattery. One review mentioned he bashed Kaiser and that they held documents hostage. Well Dr. Jain’s office held my MR hostage when I’d had my limit and found a new PCP. They wanted $ 25! My new PCP said «forget it; don’t pay that; it’s ridiculous and we don’t need them». I will also agree with the positive statements that I rarely had to wait long at all. (Which probably is most correlated those visits are short because there was no reason to have them in the first place…) However a physician’s motto is «Do No Harm» and to deny CDC recommend care and USHHS guidelines on immunizations while traveling and won’t prescribe an over 60 recommended vaccine for Shingles, is doing harm.

I just cannot believe that my wife and I remained patients of Dr Vinita Jain for almost four years! What the other one-​star reviews say about her is so true! She automatically makes an appointment to see you within the next one to three months, even if there is nothing wrong with you. I saw her NINE TIMES over the past year, which was around SEVEN times more than was necessary. She is constantly having you take blood and urine tests, besides your «annual physical». Her files are «old school» massive paper files that are useless, since she piles on one test result over the other, and then has to flip through them for any information. Finally, she then asks YOU what dosage of meds that you are on! She also has made fun of the meds that my wife was taking, and has constantly tried to take over her care away from her doctor specialists, especially her OBGYN. This started over a year and half ago, but we decided it was easier to keep her as our physician. BAD MOVE!!! Stay away, unless you want a lot of unnecessary visits and tests for the insurance billing, whether on Medicare or not! The «final straw» was her office calling me to pay a $ 10 yearly medication re-​authorization fee that my insurance company charges physicians. I was on the phone with her office asking how can I do that, since I was sick, and it was a half-​hour drive. Couldn’t they just put it on my bill? No, that is separate! Finally, I heard Dr Jain say in the background, «Just have him mail me a check today!». Later, the office called to say that they had re-​authorized my medication for the pharmacy to supply. So thoughtful, right! STAY AWAY!!!

I like the office and the doctor. The appointment was fast and generally things went well. The doctor is smart, serious (which you want it that way) and very professional. Will go back to him in the future.

Vinita Jain is my Primary Care Physician.
I have very well sorted insurance and have worked in the healthcare industry for quite a long time. I would choose her again and again as my PCP, and I have been through a lot of them.
My first visit with Dr. Jain was a real show-​stopper for me, why, you ask?
1. I was seen on time and Dr. Jain was there ready to give me her full attention.
2. She spent a full hour with me, did a physical, questioned me on all sorts of past and current medical issues or concerns.
3. She was caring, concerned, personable, and wanted to get to know me as her new patient.
You may think to yourself «Well, of course she did, and that’s what ALL doctors are supposed to do!» You know what, you’re right! But, can you tell me of another doctor that actually does all of the above? I surely cannot!
I’ve never had a better PCP in my life (apologies to a friend who was a former PCP of mine) and will continue going back.
Also, seeing the comments about the front desk, I find them kind of silly. When I was growing up, that’s how doctors offices worked, the front desk got their jobs done, they schedule patients and call other offices for records and referrals. I don’t personally need the touchy-​feely front desk gal who validates that I’m so special;)
That last quip is actually kind of funny, because the front desk always knows who I am when I walk through the door and that DOES make me feel special.
Also also, ample parking, and located right near John Muir Health, Concord.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Vivek Jain for atleast 10yrs now. First of all whoever wrote that he knocked Kaiser, they are the worst thrifty of hospitals in the world, wait 6hrs in emergency to see someone, and they hold your medical records hostage. Dr. Jain has been an awesome doctor for me, I’ve been to others and always come back to him. He always treats me with respect, I’ve never waited more than 10−15min to see him, and he is always professional with me. I recommend Dr. Jain.

I really wish there was a way to leave less than one star on Unilocal.I made the mistake of choosing the Jain’s as my doctors… I’ve seen both of them at different times. They are both astonishingly rude, brusque, and prone to interrupt you in mid-​explanation of what seems to be ailing you. On my final visit with them, I had made an appointment for 9:15 in the morning, just after they open. I ended up waiting to be seen for 45 minutes before I ended up leaving without being seen, since I couldn’t spend any more time off work. Since I paid up front for my copay, I requested that it be refunded since I was never seen. It’s been over three weeks and they still haven’t refunded my money.
Bottom line, do yourself a favor and choose another doctor. Even if you have to wait a few weeks to see someone else, you’ll be much better off for the wait.

If there were –ve ratings, I’d give them –5. Absolutely horrible doctors. If you have good insurances, please go to a better place. These people are here for money only, nothing else. They do not care about your medical needs. Beware…
I’d rather go to a county doctor and expect an honest opinion, but not from them.

I am glad I am not alone on feeling this way. It was a very sad story medically, and I suffered mentally from the lack of urgency and answers in general. I initially had a review and they deleted it because I explained everything that happened. Shame on them.

This office is hungry for business. The doctor asks you to come back every 2 – 3 weeks for no reason at all. If you love to visit the doctor then this is the place for you! What a waste of money and time, as I certainly have better things to do than give my money and insurance benefits to the doctor. Big egos limit referrals.

I also have had a bad experience with this pair of doctors. While I do not entirely want to condemn them, there are certainly some bad aspects that need to be highlighted so that others are warned.
I agree with all the previous 3 reviewers regarding the service. Horrible is just putting it mildly.
It took us a lot of cajoling before the doctor agreed to give a referral to an eye doctor for my son, though the insurance stipulated an annual eye exam.
For nearly 8 months my wife used to mention to the doctor about abnormal bleeding, pain in the abdomen and lower back and about gaining wait and getting fatigued very often. The doctor did not even give a referral to any OB/​Gyn and she maintained that all these were due to stress.
In Jan 2010, we switched insurances. In July when my wife had a bout of heavy bleeding again, the new PCP immediately referred her to an OB/​Gyn, who after conducting some tests asked her to meet an Oncologist, who diagnosed her with Stage II uterus cancer. My wife underwent hysterectomy on Aug 4, 2010. She now has to undergo preventive radiation so that the cancer does not recur.
Just to echo the suggestions of the previous 3 reviewers — If you suspect something serious, please check out another doctor before it is too late. I think we were lucky and switched doctors in time.

Horrible service. Front desk clearly doesnt care to work there, and the doctor, although on time, doesnt follow through and the only way for me to get what i needed was to call and complain to my insurance. FIND A DIFFERENT DOCTOR!
