Jeff’s Paper Hanging

This guy was a total scam. I hired him to do a wallpaper job for my new daughter’s nursery, one wall mind you. He wanted $ 1,600. I made a bad judgement and went ahead and hired him after this outrageous estimate because I wasn’t able to find anyone else in the area. The day before he was supposed to do the job he sent a quote by email that added another $ 100 to the already outrageous cost totaling $ 1,700 for one 9’x10’ wall. Once again I acquiesced. he asked if I had done anything to prep the walls as I had almost attempted the job myself since wallpaper hangers are few these days. I told him my mother had primed the wall. When he arrived he told me the wall had not been cut in to his approval and he would not do the job that day. This gentlemen had the nerve to charge me $ 100 for his time and requested to return at a later day to do the job. At this point I gave the individual the $ 100 just to get him out of my house. WOW, please do yourself a favor and stay away!

We recently decided to wallpaper two walls in our guest room. We found some amazing wallpaper with a brick design. However, we did not feel confident hanging it ourselves. I searched and searched and finally found Jeff Knockaert on Google. Jeff lives in Concord but services the surrounding areas. We live in Oakley. Jeff was able to estimate the amount of wallpaper I needed over the phone and by e-​mail. I sent him pictures of the room and the dimensions. He advised me that I would need to smooth the walls, because they were highly textured. Jeff recommended a dry wall person to do the work. Next, Jeff instructed me on how to put several coats of primer on the wall to prepare it for the wallpaper. Jeff is a perfectionist and did an amazing job with our room.
