MAC Cosmetics

Ashlee did my makeup and she was just amazing. She did exactly what I wanted. They were able to take me in as a walk-​in on a busy Saturday morning! I will definitely be back again. I highly recommend Ashlee.

I have my favorite makeup artist here. She unfortunately isn’t always working when I come by… I live in the Napa Valley and there’s no mall and definitely no Mac up there. I travel down to concord to get my usual things. Color matched. Bought it all. Came back home. Makeup artist grabbed the wrong color foundation than the one that was tested on me. Oh well but I couldn’t get down to exchange for a good 6 weeks. So I tried to do just an even exchange of just the right color. And I was told no. I was past the 30 days. I was a little shocked. Like just do the exchange and call it a Day. I spend hundreds each time I come in. I won’t be returning. I would rather go that much further to walnut creek to nordstroms. Excellent return policy there. Especially when the employee screws up lol insane. Sorry Mac store. I don’t recommend you at all. Very disappointed by the way it was handled also. Grumpy little makeup artist.

Every time I go to this location I stand around, waiting to be acknowledged while reps talk to each other (If they were busy with customers then I’d understand). Finally when I’m holding samples they’ll say «what can I get for you?»
Aren’t they sales reps? Shouldn’t they try to be helpful in some way?
If I say something along the lines of, what would look good for my skin tone for this or that, they’ll just list a few products. Ummm… okay, should I try some on?
They are more like shoe salesmen. «What size do you want?» Nothing else.
Buying makeup should be fun. That’s why you always spend more than you mean to. I guess the bonus with this store is you only buy what you absolutely need

I was matched with the wrong color and wasn’t able to use the foundation at all. I came to the counter and handed over the product and reciept explaining to the MUA that i was matched wrong she then offers to rematch me. After finding the correct shade and walking me back to the register she then proceeds to tell me that I’m ONE day past the 30 day return policy. Like she didn’t notice that before! I will no longer buy MAC from their stores… Nordstroms only for now on they have way better customer service.

Was greeted vaguely, never asked if I needed help or recommendations. I came in with my sister in law to get her a bunch of stuff for her birthday. We were so excited for her to try out new products and get recommendations from an artist. We were ignored until someone noticed I was holding quite a few product testers in my hand. While the person who grabbed my products was polite, everyone else looked bored and stayed huddled together talking to each other. It was very disappointing, and I will make sure to never come back.

I don’t really like wearing makeup. In fact, my little sister was always trying to help me put together makeup, and give me tips — she always had her makeup done beautifully — but not me.
I do, however, use one Mac product. I think I officially own a handful of items from their store, but only one for daily use: their Studio Fix compact. I love that I can just go into the store and give them my name and they keep my shade on file. I don’t really like shopping so this makes life really simple. I have a fluffy applicator brush that I love and bought really cheap somewhere else. It works great, and applies it lighter than the absorbent foam applicator it comes with.
A couple visits ago I explored the store with the help of an associate and bought a bronzer, blush, a couple pencils and some lip gloss. I definitely like Victoria’s Secret lip gloss better, and the bronzer was a lot of money compared to similar stuff from the Target shelves. But the Studio Fix compact goes with me everywhere! It’s worth every penny!
I refilled my Mac compact this week — there was no line at the register and I was in and out of the small store really fast. Perfect!

All the staff here is so talented. They always are so helpful and do an amazing job. I feel like they are always so knowledgable about the products and really are talented artists! Jen L is amazing! It can get busy sometimes but they always seem to help everyone and greet you right away no matter what. A+++

I am not into MAC cosmetics. They seem overrated to me but my friend is obsessed with MAC so we stopped in this store where she purchased $ 300 in makeup, yikes. Because she spent over a certain amount she was able to have them do her makeup for free. The girl who did her makeup had the attention span of a 3 yr old. She looked like a hot mess… her own makeup looked clownish. She was super talkative and friendly but she just wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing. She kept wandering off and at one point she got a visit from her family causing her to walk off again. She was occupied with them for a good 10 minutes. That doesn’t count all the other five million distractions that caused her to leave my friend in the stool with her makeup half done. On top of that she did a horrible job on my friends makeup. Her eyeshadow looked like someone just took some wet ‘n wild and smeared it on her eyelid with a foam tip applicator full of dark blue makeup. I could not believe it. The girl again wandered off but luckily for my friend one of the other employees walked by and examined her makeup and actually started to fix it. She blended it out with a couple of other colors and made it look decent. Then Wandering Wanda returned and took back over. She filled in my friends eyebrows, which it took her three tries to get the color right, she then put some bronzer on her. That was it, my friend put her own lipstick on and then she was done. She could’ve done a way better job herself. For someone who spent that much money they should’ve done more and done it better. The makeup job was way underwhelming and disappointing. The store itself is cramped and seems unorganized. Skip this store, hit up Sephora instead.

Super nice staff! I was a walk in for a make up appt and they took me in right away. I had adriene and she did a superb job on my smokey purple look. She was a sweet gal and was very friendly and conversational. She got me in and out with a full face since I was rushing to a wedding. She is so talented! Loved it!

Terrible MAC store ever they are never available… And the idiot guys at the store watching you like hawks I thought they were pervert stalkers… I was going to call mall security. The girls here honestly don’t want to work here and don’t give any good customer service. A girl said she was going to be right with me and the next thing you know she grabbed her purse from the back and told the sup that she was taking a break. I stood there listening and I told the sup and she said I’m sorry I’ll help you… It’s ridiculous no people skills… Wow Zero stars

I come to this MAC at least twice a month, at different times in the day and I always receive amazing customer service. The artists here are super nice and are always helpful.

Came here today to find some new nude color lipsticks. Both girls were busy when I walked but was greeted and told they’d be with me shortly. Sure enough Jennifer was with me in a few minutes. I told her what I was looking for and asked me a few questions about what I like and don’t like ie. shimmery, matte, crème, etc. She is of a similar complexion to what I am so she pulled a few colors. I was hoping to find at least one shade but I found 2 plus a new lustreglass. Super happy with my purchase and her service. I will be back to see Jennifer soon :)

First I would like to state that I have been to MANY M.A.C. stores, and this one by FAR has exceeded my expectations. I just went here for a group Make-​up class, and I am by no means, a make-​up connoisseur. Every single one of these women made me feel comfortable and at ease when learning new techniques. Every time I go in the store they are always friendly and helpful, and make me feel beautiful, whether I have my make-​up done, or not. They listen to what I am saying, and go above and beyond to help me find what I am looking for. If you want quality service with lots of smiles, definitely come to this store!

Smh rude! The manager is so rude I went in and I was in the middle of saying hi «in the middle» shes like I am on lunch rudely and walked away and I stood there waiting on anyone else all I wanted to talk abt was if they are hiring and about my resume but wouldn’t wanna work with rude people

I don’t usually shop at the MAC store, but had some special needs. And hey, what girl doesn’t want to hit the mother ship for the glam supplies? You never know what other goodies will drop into your radar. Unfortunately, MAC really missed the boat here, plus my spending.
I came in carrying 2 items for replacement. A pencil and a brush. Pretty straight forward right?

2 girls that would surface from the back and give orders
Basically, you walk in… the 2 dudes stare at you like you’re going to steal something. Get in the line of 10 people — because that one chick behind the register? She’s the ONLY one helping anyone. 30 min in the Q — and she takes my 2 items, finds one, then rings it up.
I was there close to 40 min. 5 employees, but only 1 that was helping anyone. This is what happens when you have crappy management in place. I will never go back. If Macys doesn’t have it, I don’t need it.
One star because they had the eye pencil. They could have sold me a boat load of goodies… They are set up to pamper. But the staff thinks they are Walgreens, not MAC. Too bad.

Im talking about Macys MAC girls customer service was Disgusting!!! Especially the blond one… Umm hunaaaay. You aint all that and a bag of chips… This people these days. Maan… Umm ima mua too. Been doing this a long time boo and tryna act all that aint the way to go! You dont get loyal customers like that! Change it up!!! Anywaysssss!!!
I walked outta Macys Mac and came to this one and the girl here Acknowledge me right away and helped me right away! Thats how you do it people! Uggggh anyways. I shouldve jus came here from the start instead of wasting my time over there!

Here is the thing. I am not a makeup person. I stick with my face powder and lipgloss on a regular basis. But… I have a milestone birthday coming up and I so dearly wish that I could look a little bit more made up than my usual.
Having seen ladies getting their faces made up and overhearing the MAC ladies’ impromptu makeup lessons whenever I pass by, I figured they should be where I go to find a flattering red lipstick that will not look so odd with my almost nonexistent makeup.
They suggested a lipstick and told me that I ought to wear it with a lip liner if I want it to look gorgeous and unmessy, for which I am thankful. I did love the recommendations they gave me and I did end up buying the lip liner and lipstick.
However, this whole process took me an hour. An HOUR, and that is not an exaggeration. The one makeup lady (I assume, since she was the only one clad in all-​black) on the floor told me she will be right with me with hardly a look in my direction — she was helping out a customer, granted, but the lipstick test seemed to have taken considerably less time than the gossiping between them. Friendly, yes. Efficient, no.
When I was finally able to get some help, we were interrupted twice because the phone was ringing or someone wanted to pay for their purchases but no one was manning the cash register. (I did see one other employee go out for a breather for what seemed a personal reason.)
While I was happy that I was able to find my lipstick, I am unhappy that what should have been a 15-​minute stop, tops, stretched to an hour. I think that they need more employees as they get overwhelmed a bit too quickly.

I can honestly say that I am no longer a MAC junky. My wallet appreciates this :) But there ARE a few things I cannot live without. And one of those things is Fluidline.
I own too much MAC, but I’m not complaining :) It’s good stuff. The shadow goes on great, and it’s beautiful. I love their brushes. Lipstick is fantastic. TRY IT ALL!

Since we live in a society of texting fools, let’s see if you can decode my feelings about this place…

Pretty good experience here for my first purchase. I was walking around with the 190 foundation brush and this girl came up to me and told me about the package deal, 5 different brushes for $ 50. She was pretty helpful and also asked me if I was ready and helped me check out.
The place itself was organized, a bit too much foundation splattered on the tables/​holders though. But everything else was pretty organized and clean. Pretty good experience (:
