I would recommend the sales process that this dealer uses. I would recommend the SALEMAN again.
GREAT SALESMAN AND SALES EXPERIENCE.
But note that the dealership is lacking many of the little things that you expect from a car dealer. I do not feel that my business is appreciated. The little things that you can do to make a customer service experience enjoyable are lacking here. I admit that I have higher than normal expectations, but to forget my name within 5 minutes is fairly simple. And to follow through on your commitments is another easy win. If a customer ask to speak to you, get up from your desk and go meet the customer, dont sit behind a desk and wait for them to be shuffled to you. (NOT SPEAKING OF A SALES EXPERIENCE) Like I said before buying the car was a positive experience. They do need help on their marketing and not call me the day after and ask if I wanted to buy a car, like I did that yesterday. I was not pressured to make a purchase I was given the necessary information I needed to make a decision and feel that they gave me a great price. Service is a joke in my opinion and far from where they need to be, my prior dealer had a fantastic service department and I almost regret not buying one of their cars because their service department was so fantastic. Not the case here. Professionalism is not present.

I end up at Modern Hyundai after scraping my front bumper on a curb. I show up without an appointment and in hysterics because I’m 600 miles away from home and I’m not sure how bad the damage is. Christopher (my Service Advisor) graciously takes me in and gets me situated. As I’m waiting in the plush lobby, he comes to get me and give me the news. They fixed my car up no charge! I was so happy I could’ve cried. The customer service in this location is stellar, truly five stars. Now I know if I’m ever in Charlotte again, I’ll have somewhere to bring my car. Great service department.

Here we go again. They bought back our 2014 Hyundai Sonata after selling us the lemon. We bought a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, which is great… so far.
So, here we go again with customer service dropping the ball again. We brought our car in for the 5,000 oil change. We figured that we would use their loaner car program but we’re informed that we didn’t qualify for this program since we didn’t make an appointment and were only here for an oil change. I was told to come in as a walk in today since there were no appointments available.
This is the 2^nd time they have pulled this. The only reason I came here for this first oil change is that I bought the car here new and was told it was complimentary. I figured I would use a loaner car to run errands this afternoon so that they could fit me in whenever they had time as a walk in. Understandable that they are a busy shop, but it is awful being made to feel as though you the customer who spent about $ 30k are in the wrong.
Sales does a great job… service, while I’ve had good experiences with management, still needs work.

We came here third on our quest for a gray Hyundai Elantra.
Before we even were on our way we called the dealership and talked to Stacy who told us (in a very peppy way) that they were offering a $ 750 finance rebate as well as a St. Paddy’s day rebate (just for that day) of up to $ 2,000. Also that if they didn’t have the car in stock that they would go get it and deliver it to us, which was something we hadn’t heard at any of the other dealerships.
After looking around the lot for a bit Keith introduced himself to us, and we told him what we wanted for a car. He said he would be right back and after about 15 minutes drove up with the car we wanted!
We were excited, but we knew this was the tough part — negotiating price. After leaving us at his desk Keith went off and brought back a payment plan, but we wanted to negotiate bottom line price. We knew what we wanted to pay and we let him know that straight off the bat. I mean this was the third place we had been to, so I felt like we were pros.
They were around $ 1,000 off what we were asking but we were firm with our price. Keith went back to talk to another manager and came back $ 500 less, but still $ 500 off our firm price. We told him we were sticking with what we said, and he went and got another manager, who told us the price we were getting was firm, that they were actually loosing money, you know standard. We stayed with our price and he left and then came Marty.
Marty was the GM of the store and he was there to «earn our business» which seems to be a phrase that many dealerships say. He told us that he could come down $ 100 but that was «his breaking point». But we stayed firm, and right when we were about to walk out he came down another $ 200.
We asked to have some time to talk about it, and although it was a good price, we didn’t feel comfortable with giving in.
We decided it was time to be firm on our offer and leave. I felt good in my decision.
