I really wanted to give this company 1 Star, but I will go with 2. I am really angry with some of the maneuvers that Omni Windows pulled with me. Initially, I was very pleased with Gary’s sales pitch and his illusion of honesty. However, at the end of my experience with Omni, I realized that Gary is good at being a salesman. I had started out telling Gary, when he came out for the initial estimate, that I did not want any «Home Depot Crews» at my house, as I have had bad experiences with Day Laborer Crews. He assured me that, «No, they are OUR employees.» I decided to sign the contract and go forward with using Omni.
When it came time to schedule the window installation, Rita had me on the books. I reiterated to her that I don’t want a «Home Depot Crew» at my house. I told her that I don’t want Illegal Day Laborers at my home. She reassured me that they were their employees, and that they were not Day Laborers. I explained that the particular day she had me allotted for, was good, as I would be driving from out of state to make payment and approve the job. About 5 days before the window installation, Rita called me and said that they would have to reschedule the install because the manufacturers sent her a broken window. She added that they sent the broken window, and she stated that she returned it, and they still sent her back that same broken window. I explained to Rita that she needs to turn the screws with that manufacturing company, and have them put the window on a fast truck, or what have you. I explained to her that they screwed up, so they need to get the window there on time and make it right. Rita called me a few days later, and told me that she received the unbroken window.
ONE HOUR BEFORE, on the day of the window installation, David calls me and says that the window crew will not be making it, and that he will have to reschedule me. We had to remove all window coverings, move furniture back, make sure children were not at home, as well as pets, etc., and they flippantly said they need to cancel on us!
I reminded David that I had spoken to Rita about how I was here specifically to oversee this window upgrade, from out of state. He blew me off, stating that Julio and his crew had to fix some dry rot at the job they were on previously. I am tired of contractors overbooking and getting greedy! I told David that he needs to have them do the job that day or else I will have to take back my deposit ($ 2,150.00.) David called me back and said that Julio and his crew could get there at 2:00 (Rita originally told me they would be there by 9:00 or 10:00 am.) I explained to David that this is unacceptable, because with daylight savings, it will be dark by 5:00 and they won’t have enough time. David stated, «I can’t make Julio do anything… He is an adult!» I had to be very assertive and argumentative, which I don’t like. I told David that if Julio and his crew are not there by 11:00 am., I will take back my deposit and not have Omni do the job.
Low and behold… the crew showed up around 10:00. Funny how that happens… you get assertive and they stop playing games! I resent the fact that the workers of Omni put myself, and the other people who live in that house, through so much stress!
When the crew arrived, the foreman Julio, didn’t even apologize for their fiasco. This is unacceptable. On top of this, there were two workers who I believe were day laborers. One did not speak English, and the other one barely spoke any English. I was trying to talk to the one with minimal English skills, and he explained that he «climbs trees and does tile too.» This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. I am tired of paying good money to a reputable company for skilled labor, and in return I get Day Laborers. It has been my experience that the majority of these guys are getting paid sub-​par wages, and they are getting paid under the table. I thought I was protecting myself against this kind of experience, since I talked to BOTH Gary and Rita about it.
It has been almost a month since the windows were installed. i called and left TWO messages for the owner, Mr. Bentley. I still have not heard back from him. By his not getting back to me, that reaffirms my belief that these workers are undocumented workers who he is employing, and who he sent to my home.
Omni windows did a good sales job with me, but they were not truthful. They operate in an unprofessional and unethical manner.
P. S. I asked one of the workers, Ramon, how long he has worked for Omni, and he told me 2 months. I also asked Delfino the same question, and the foreman (Julio) translated for him, that he has been working for Omni for 2 years.

Received 3 bids to replace windows and a couple we laughed out the door. No one can touch Omni’s pricing. Pricing was very good and doable. Met with Gary from Omni windows and he impressed us with his knowledge and performance of windows and not a lot of «schmoozing» which we appreciated. We only replaced 10 windows because of financial reasons, but within a few months of having the windows installed we had Gary back to quote the other windows and we are getting them installed within the next month. We are already noticing a savings in our energy bill. We can sit in our TV room and we no longer feel the heat coming in from the windows. Our old windows we always kept closed, covered with black out blinds anything to keep that heat out. Now we can have the blinds open and we feel no heat at all coming through and it gets to 104 degrees around here. Everyone was very pleasant, Gary told us exactly what to expect, the guy came out to measure and he was nice and professional. Then the window installers came and they were clean, professional, pleasant and they worked their butts off. It was hot that day and they just worked through it. They didn’t make a mess in the house at all and my husband is a Virgo and any dust, mess, anything out of place sends him in a panic. He was calm and cool and that in itself was priceless. Gary suggested a few picture windows because we live on a golf course so I have clean open windows with no bars and I love it! Now when I do the dreaded dishes I’m looking out my beautiful window looking out at our pool and the golf course. Gary knows his stuff! Thank you for making this a pleasant experience. Very few companies that you work with impress you but Omni windows impressed us and we have recommended them to several of our friends.

My wife and I just purchased our fist home and it desperately needed windows. We received a quote from Home Depot and found that the windows where cheep and expensive with a crappy warranty. We then called Omni Windows and Gary came to our house and explained everything to us showed us examples of the windows and how awesome they are and how the warranty worked. We where sold and it was cheaper then Home Depots crap windows. We had trouble coming up with the money in a reasonable time so they moving things around without question. took us about 4 months to pay everything but we did it. The installers were prompt and very friendly. we had a total of 8 windows to install and it took them 3 and a half hours to do everything. BLOWN AWAY! What a great company all around. Totally 100% recommend this company for new windows

I got 3 bids to replace windows in my entire house. After meeting with Gary from Omni I was very impressed with his knowledge, approach and professional attitude. I signed contracts the same day of the quote and they were very responsive and on top of their game. I was concerned about the width of «replacement windows» and Gary and his team worked to cut back on my existing vinyl frame structure as to maximize the window space. I was also happy to be getting LoE3 windows for the energy benefits.
The windows came in about a week in advance and Omni sent a full team and they worked efficiently to get all 15 windows installed in 1 day! — helping to meet my schedule and needs, which was much appreciated. The windows look great, nice to have the clarity, the backing and the ease of sliding and locking on my new windows.
I also wanted to say how efficient and helpful the installation team was. One worker even found a solution to putting back my blackout shade, which they initially didn’t think would fit — and he kept thinking on his own for a solution and found one — when he didn’t have to at all. This was such a valuable added level of service which was much appreciated.
Omni has been everything Gary told me they would be in the initial sales call and I’m very happy to have my nice clear, clean framed, energy efficient windows throughout my house. Nice job Omni. Thanks.

Omni windows is exactly what the name of the contractor is on my permit. Funny how we are not a client. It is unfortunate that the only concern they have along with Bay City windows is try and make themselves look good instead of actually letting the work and follow through take care of that.

in 2003 i had contracted with omni windows to replace all of the windows in my home. well approx. 10 years later, one window, one screen and my sliding screen door were in need of replacement. i subsequently learned that the manufacturer, lbl windows, were no longer in existence, thus the warranty was in question. well i must say after several phone calls to omni windows they subsequently stood behind there product. david from omni, came out to my home and obtained measurements and told me that replacements would be ordered. david was on time with his appointment and remained in telephone contact with me on when the replacement products would arrive. roberta of omni completed the installations and i could not be more happy. i got off on the wrong foot with omni windows when i first contacted them. but i must say everyone i came in contact with, david & roberta, were professional, on time, and i will continue to do business with omni window systems in the future and recommend others to do the same.

I’ve used this company several times to install new home windows in San Jose homes I rent out. They also installed a new front door and Hunter Douglas blinds. They have done a great job on all my investment properties and I recommend them.

I bought windows for my entire house back in 2002. Since then Omni changed hands, but the new company owners are handling service requests and warranty work. So I give them a 5 star for service, as I’ve recently had to call and have a couple of things repaired. The manufacturer of the LBL windows has also changed hands, and I don’t believe they’re offering full warranty anymore, but David from Omni came out and spent a lot of time seeing what the problem was, fixing what he could, and ordering some replacement pins for two double-​hung windows. Product issues can always occur over time, but the important thing is the commitment to service.

They did a great job!
Got 3 quotes… they came in the most affordably-​priced but seemed to have just as good of a product. The salesman told us it would be 6 – 8 weeks before the windows would be in. We ordered them, and 6 – 8 weeks later… got a phone call for the installation to be scheduled.
Installers came, got everything done in 3 days. My husband checked things over very carefully and was very impressed. They did a wonderful job. They were fast, efficient, and very nice.
We also asked them to do some additional sidework on our house that was part of the trimwork involved in replacing the windows. They were very accomodating.
Nothing changed from the original quoted price, which we really appreciated.
I would highly recommend.
