Phillips Water Heater Service, Dan Phillips

My water heater stopped working and I didn’t have hot water for a few weeks so I finally called Dan. He was the only plumber that was willing to do a free consultation. He was super helpful over the phone and when he came to work on mine, he was amazing.
He got my warranty people on the phone, spoke to them, came to the conclusion that the 3 year old water heater was broken and got them to agree to give me a brand new one for free. He took my old one to Lowes with his son Sammy, and got a new one. He brought it back and installed it. Within one hour I had hot water.
He was very friendly, his son is very knowledgable and I will refer them to anyone who needs a good plumber.

Just had Dan & his assistant Marcello put in a new hot water heater for my parents this morning. Both were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I appreciated Dan’s willingness to explain what they were doing as they worked (I’m a DIYer). Everything looks great! We recently were in need of replacing a boiler for our facility. I called Phillips water heater services and spoke with Dan. He came out to my facility and did a comprehensive walk thru of our building and assessed our needs. Dan came up with replacing our one old inefficient boiler with four Noritz tankless units. The units were installed professionally and in a timely manner. Dan even pointed out a few things we could do to increase our energy efficiency. I was very pleased with the service we received from Dan, we will definitely use him on our next project. In addition to the service provided I have seen a drastic decline in our gas usage. I had a problem with my landscaping well. I had called a friend to look at it to no avail. He suggested I trench up all the lines to find the problem. I’ve used Dan in the past (and recommended him to several friends) to see if he could make heads or tails of my problem. He came out, and after checking completely, and thinking about our system for just a few minutes, realized there was a connection that had come undone. He saved us thousands of dollars in trenching costs. And my husband and I think he is a genius! He is as honest as the day is long, and very professional. He never makes a mess and is really wonderful at working with these old California houses without adding on unnecessary charges. We love him and you will too. Honest.

I called Dan Phillips to service my Noritz tankless water heater due to a problem where the heater would trip offline during use. I explained the problem to Dan over the phone. He asked a few questions and said he could service the unit that very afternoon. An hour later, he had diagnosed and fixed the problem.
Dan is professional, courtesy, responsive and very reasonably priced. In the future, I will always call Dan to service my water heater.

We recently had a tankless water heater installed by Dan and I could not be happier! It was over the Thanksgiving Holiday our water heater went out and normally my husband would handle this type of thing but he was busy trying to get our roof back on before the next rain. Our friends, the Guarino’s, had Dan install the tankless a few years back and highly recommended him for the job. We didn’t hesitate in hiring Dan for the job and I’m so glad we did. Not only did my husband get to continue the roofing Dan even helped him out! He went over and above for my family during the holiday season and I can’t thank him enough.
This is exactly the kind of business owner I like to support. If only all contractors were as stand-​up as Dan… He’s a real asset to our community.

Dan installed a Noritz Tankless Water Heater in our Castro Valley home yesterday and the whole experience was extremely positive. Dan’s exceptional knowledge of the products he sells and his professional installation are second to none. From the first time I called him to the time he was driving off after installation everything went perfect. His prices are very reasonable and he did not try to cut corners anywhere. I highly recommend him for any water heater service. I’d definitely give more stars if I could.

The Saturday before we left for Italy, we sprung a leak in a coupling (mfgr defect) water pressure found a pin hole and we had water everywhere

Dan Garth Phillips license was suspended because he would not pay workman’s comp insurance. He sold a tankless heater and did not install it correctly. He wanted to charge more money to fix the problem. He took advantage of an elderly person. Avoid him. He wanted cash up front and went to the bank with the elderly person. In addition, his license was a contractor’s license and not a plumber’s license.
Mr. Phillips keeps phoning this senior citizen trying to get her to change this review. Intimidation? Harrassment? The customer was not supplied with the owner’s manual for the tank-​less water heater. Instead one of the neighbor’s downloanded the manual from the tank-​less water heater.
The senior citizen also found out that the pump that came with the Tank-​less heater was not installed and instead the very old pump was left.
The senior citizen has not received any written communication on how he will resolve any of the problems.

We had just moved into our house and had no hot water. I called up Dan and he was over within an hour on a Saturday and had us up and running. Pleasant, great service, I would recommend him to anyone.

If you want to go tankless this is your man. He installed a unit at my business 4 years ago and I just had him put one in at my house. Quick, reasonably priced and easy to work with.
