Pixie Play School

Pixie is such an amazing school and community! My daughter and I have made lifelong friends here. My daughter has flourished and is ready to go to kindergarten and I am looking forward to my next stint with my younger kids. As a parent I have learned and grown there so much. We love Pixie!

my kids love pixie, and it has been a wonderful experience for them to have a community of families looking after them. It is play based with many opportunities for self directed learning as well as teacher/​parent directed play.

Pixie play school has been very welcoming and accommodating. My son is 3 years old. Since we enrolled mid-​year, we have him in the parent-​tot class. This is his first experience in school and with others his age. He had a blast. The teachers and board members are kind, welcoming, and great with the kids.
I’ve had previous experience with a co-​op when my older daughter was preschool age. It’s hard not to compare the two. But Pixie play school is such a wonderful place.

This is a wonderful cooperative preschool. Not only do the children grown and learn, it is a great support and learning experience for parents. It does require the parents to help in the classes, but is so worth it. The school is accredited and also part of Preschool Makes a Difference.

We have been a Pixie family since last summer (2012) and it has been a wonderful experience. Pixie Play School is a parent cooperative preschool and being in the classroom has been one of the best parts. Being able to see my daughter in the classroom environment, interacting with the other children, parents and Teacher Geri has given me insights and taught me new parenting techniques. Teacher Geri is an amazing teacher/​director. I feel she has really been more of a partner in my child’s early education than just the director of the program. She is very devoted to the children.
Pixie has been around for almost 60 years and my sister-​in-​laws even went there when they were children (20-​some years ago).
They have various programs available for children ages 2 – 5 (Half Big, Pre-​K, Enrichment and Summer School) and children do not have to be potty trained. My daughter has attended the summer school program, Pre-​K and Enrichment programs. My son will be starting the Pre-​K in the near future. Pixie has also recently started a Parent-​Tot program for younger children. Parent-​Tot is more of a play date format in which the parents stay with the children. Teacher Geri offers some parenting and educational information for the parents during the session. My son has loved this program.
I am very happy to be a Pixie family and quite often run into other Pixie families, current or alumni. It amazes me how many people that have been influenced by and have very fond memories of their time at Pixie (the children and parents alike).

I love this school my husband loves this school my in-​laws love this school my parents love this school, but what really matters is our Son loves this school more then he loves anything else. He comes home at the end of the day with stories. They also provide a safe place for your child to grow with no limitations on imagination. He has made so many great friends. All the parents are so great. No Drama. The Prices are the best we have seen around. We are about to move out of concord but we are keeping our son in this school because he is doing so great with everything in life. He is writing and one of the best things is that he is eating so much better. The Teacher is by far the best I have seen in a long time. Not only dose she care for the kids she cares about the parents. We love this school!!!

This is a great parent cooperative preschool. My kids have been going here for 1.5 years and have at least 1 more. It’s great to see your children interact with their peers and work with the other parents. It’s not for everyone because you have to be on a committee and go to meetings but it does make you feel vested in the school. The prices are better than a drop off preschool and these days we all need to save where we can.
