This place puts wayyyy toooo much rice in their sushi. You can tell they just want to get you full asap. Quality is not good!

Very pleased with this find, you can order off the menu and take your pick off the sushi belt. Great experience with food and service. Nice ambience to top it off. That was a surprise given the location, and the look and feel of most of the neighboring restaurants. We are going back!

Very nice clean place. Very tasty and big portions of fish/unagi. The variety going on on the sushi belt is not much. It’s either all spicy fish with something, crunchy, then another. Therefore if you are waiting for them to make something specific you will have to wait a long time. You could all place an order but the risk is on you because the portions are big you may not finish it then you will get charge. They seem to be busy that they forgot to give us water. The food I s great so I will try it again with the hope of better service and better variety.

Came here on a Friday night since it’s that time again that we can’t eat meat. As soon as we walked in, the waitress asked if we wanted to do the AYCE($ 19.99/person) or order off the menu. The boyfriend immediately looks at me and I already knew what we were going to do. Read the rules for AYCE! Also, you can order off the AYCE menu or grab anything from the conveyor belt. My personal preference was to order off the menu because the sushi on the conveyor belt did not look as fresh, even though they were covered with plastic lids. The AYCE menu for $ 19.99 had plenty of decent options: gyoza, wakame, miso, etc as starters and lion king, rock n roll, dragon, etc for rolls. Many of the things were saltier than normal, but still edible. The rolls were ordinary and had more rice than anything. The service was also nothing spectacular. In fact, what I do not like is when waiters are trying to be impressive and memorize your order without writing anything down. The first time we ordered, we were given something we didn’t ask for and then they completely forgot about another roll we ordered, so we ordered again. Luckily, the guy got it right the second time. The establishment is quite big and well furnished and painted. They have a couple of tvs but not all of them were working. They have a whole production when you’re celebrating a birthday here. Another bonus is that they are open late, serve hot pot, and give 10% off Sharetea with your bill! Nothing was worth taking a picture of that hasn’t been posted already. Worth the trip if you’re hungry and would like average sushi for cheap.

Being a San Franciscian I am beyond lucky and privileged to fresh seafood… yes, I did venture outside of SF, BUT… did I ever think that bc I pointed out that my unagj was ladened with fish bones, that I would be charged an extra person for my supposed«waste» for my AYCE meal. The manager seriously came to our table and said… word for f’n word«if you didn’t complain about your bones, I wouldn’t charge you for an extra person bc u «wasted«all this rice.» Really?!? So, bc I almost choked on bones AND pointed it out, I’m being charged extra for doing my due diligence from preventing someone from possibly choking on fish bones… I’m being punished??? Wow!!! Really??? She needs to take a class in customer service etiquette. I seriously never EVER complain, but when it’s necessary, you deserve it! BEWARE!!!

i have been here several times and i always have a good experience. the sushi is A-OK and the prices are reasonable. I know for most Asian food restaurants customer service is not one of their priorities but they really lacking on that department. I saw a waiter refused to bring the check to a table telling them that they had to finish their food first and we were ordering our food the waiter told us that we had order too much and that we should finish that before ordering more. this was not our first time there and we ended up ordering more than that first order.

Not bad at all! My boyfriend and I came here last night since we’ve never tried the sushi part of Seoul Jung. For $ 19.99AYCE, you really get a lot of food. You get access to the sushi boat and whatever is on the AYCE menu. We grabbed a few sushi items from the belt, seaweed salad and gyoza. Then we ordered chicken karaage and tempura. It was a lot of food and definitely worth the price. We will definitely come back here especially since we live so close. Both restaurants are worth the price. Great atmosphere, whether it be with a group or couple.

Made reservations here for my birthday 3 wks prior for 25 for AYCE(first time here). If you plan on having a big dinner party here, i suggest you not because you wont be able to sit with your entire party when i specifically told the manager one the phone that i would like my party and i to sit together!. For a party of 25 we were all split between 3 different tables! Like really, im going to have to scream across the table to speak to my party! Unfortunately 4 out of the 25 weren’t able to make it, so 21 of us were able to all fit 2 tables side by side. The whole time there it felt like i was not even there to mingle with my whole dinner table, only with the ones that were at my table. The manager Kate should have explained to me that we were going to be split on to different tables. And if you ever plan on making reservations for so many people(25+), you better make sure they all show up. Life happens, understand that management, i know what you said on the phone. You dont need to come and haggle me about how many people i made reservations for and that you management had to cancel other reservations for my dinner party(they had plenty of EMPTY tables to hold other parties!) * was able to preorder appetizers * Food was alright –had better * our first waiter didnt know which rolls were which. * second server who happened to be Mexican new all the rolls that were served! * Service was SLOW! * waited over 30 min for food to arrive, by than we became hungry hippos and devoured our food fast which made us full quickly! * 2nd dinner table waited over an hr for their sushi rolls, and was advise to share with dinner table 1(was told that their orders were back ordered?! Early?) * was told over and over about over ordering and if you dont finish you’ll be charged extra! From my understanding its AYCE?! Yes? No? Annoying! * before paying, take a peek at your tab for any extra charges. An extra beer tower was added on to our tab. Overall, 2 star for food. Id rather go elsewhere!

There are a lot of rules for AYCE But I think I kill at least twice the price I pay for in food. I eat all my rice then have oysters and tobiko and freshwater shrimp. It was pretty good. I did not leave sad — that says a lot for any Asian restaurants for me right now.

It was my first time at this sushi restaurant. I chose all you can eat sushi for dinner. The price was good. When I was waiting for my order, I ate at the bar. By the time I got my rolls, I was full. The service was slow. I recommend eating sushi at the bar, comes with 2 rolls. This way you avoid being charged for uneaten food. The only thing is you don’t get to choose which sushi you want to eat at the bar. Overall, the quality of the sushi was very good!

This place is a racket. We wanted sushi off the belt with 2 adults, a 10-year old, and a 4-year old: «$ 3/plate or $ 17.99/person all you can eat.» Ok, AYCE. Can we order some sashimi because the belt food is old, cold, and overbuilt? «That’ll be $ 26.99/person». Fine — we’re hungry. «And we charge for any leftover RICE since we don’t serve it without rice.» «Aaaaand, if you don’t eat any of the sushi you’re PAYING for, we will charge you the regular price of that uneaten sushi ONTOP of the AYCE price you’re already paying…» WTF?! So instead of paying an extra $ 20+ for food we couldn’t take home and NOTWASTE, we wrapped it in our napkins and threw it away in their bathroom. Their«rules» and greed defy logic. I don’t like being treated like a criminal before even ordering, wasting food ANYWAY, and paying $ 100 for mediocre service and unagi that congealed and turned rubbery after 5 minutes. Fail.

They have parking lot! My 2nd time here n I decided to try the AYCE this time, not tat I planned to eat a lot, but I wanted to be carefree n order wateva I wanted instead of deciding wat I am in the mood for. The price is pretty decent for only $ 16.99 u can have as much plate as u want on the belt, as well as some items on the AYCE menu. The food is a solid 3 stars, sashimi was ok, rolls r ok, fried food was pretty good. Service was very acceptable I felt they deserve another star for tat… they often check on us n brought us wat we wanted quickly, the place was almost empty before and after, I was wishing they get more customers as I thought their food n service wasnt bad at all. The rolls are decent for those who r into rice n fake crap, I didnt care much for it only because I cant handle having too much rice, it wud make me explode! The uni was good. The sashimi was ok but it came out too cold… I prefer my raw fish served at room temperature. There was only 4 – 5 tables with only 4 or less ppl sitting by the belt. The belt was full of sushi plates n food circulating and no one realli picked out anything including myself, We ordered one round of rolls n already got full because of all the rice in it. I thought it was nice tat they lay out so many dishes on the belt even though there wasnt enuf ppl, but also thought tat wasnt clever either. Hopefully they be around for me to come back again next time. Oh, I didnt mention the décor, it is very beautiful inside! I love their walls and ceilings!

Worst customer service ever! We went here with my mom who is vegetarian and they wanted her to sit on a separated table??? This is the first and only restaurant does that. Will NEVER come back. BAD experience!

You would never expect this place to be so beautiful on the inside. Sadly the sushi isn’t as great as the décor. I did the all you can eat and sat at the bar. I prefer my sushi to be mostly raw fish, not deep fried or baked but that is what was going around the sushi bar. They do give you a menu to order off of which is also all you can eat but most of those had a lot of cream cheese or again were either baked or deep fried. The rolls were lacking freshness which kills it for me. I really wanted to fall in love with this place because the sushi rolls pass you on a belt but I would rather drive to Vacaville to Fuji Sushi and get better quality fish.

FINALLY got to try this place… have been meaning to for some time, now. Just got back from going with my Mom and Grandpa who were both happy on their way out. My experience was also good if you’d ask. Atmosphere, excellent; lighting was soothing and casual/calm, nice dark wooden wall panels and tables, very spacious, the TV’s were placed high up for viewers’ choice and not even slightly obnoxious, the sushi ‘boat’ belt section was placed to one side while the general dining area was placed on the other giving diners their options(also 4 seater tables on one side of the sushi ‘boat’ island), the whole place was very clean and tidy. Service, great! Our servers were not intrusive, but very attentive and didn’t neglect their diners… I think the sushi chefs also were attentive because they put out sushi we were talking about as quickly as we mentioned anything similar, with good variety. Food: For a sushi ‘boat’ style place, I’d rate this as one of the better ones. The sushi was well priced generally and the quality of the seafood was good, rice flavorful, presentation made me want to eat every plate w/o thinking of my budget… *ugh* The Bento box my Grandpa had looked pretty good and he had not one complaint while enjoying his Pork Katsu and Tempura. I was happy to find out they had Ponzu to go with my sushi :) We still must come back to try the rest of their menu as, apparently, they’re linked to the Korean BBQ place next door, but separated by a solid wall(I didn’t look at their menu because I was intending to just pick sushi off the sushi ‘boat’ belt. I wouldn’t purely consider this place a, «sushi boat style place» as it’s more than that.). Overall, a hopeful experience among the other places along this strip mall… I think they may have better business if they had their own private lot, or maybe placed closer to Sun Valley Mall. Take this review as a rating of 4.5 Unilocal stars, as I’m reluctant to give places 100% these days because people won’t believe unless they try it for themselves… just keeping the business owners in mind. They’ve done a superb job with this place and I hope to see it have greater business in the future! I know I’ll try and come back as often as I can and bring more friends and family. Down-ish side(s): As this was a Saturday, little past prime lunch hour, and advantage/disadvantage of their location, I have to say I was still surprised this place wasn’t seated to the full; It wasn’t bad though, there were about 5 other tables/seated groups than us… I guess it’s just that the place is so spacious compared to most other restaurants, a nice change for me. I actually prefer quieter atmospheres for dining, so no complaints. The shared parking lot situation isn’t that bad, we found a space within 3 minutes of arriving around 1pm on a Saturday. hope this helps y’all, –Chris

My sister and I went here for their Happy Hour AYCE sushi. First of all, the décor and lighting made the restaurant feel very upscale upon entering. The service is excellent here, the workers quickly meeting our requests and consistently checking to see if we need refills. The menu has similar items to what all other sushi places have. Overall, my sister and I ordered 5 rolls and 3 hand rolls along with several miscellaneous items, so we felt like we got our money’s worth. The misc. items came very fast, such as miso soup, tempura, etc. The rolls were slightly slower, but not by much. No complaints there. The rice in the rolls tasted a bit too bland — like not enough vinegar. We ordered the lion king roll, rainbow roll, and lobster roll. Each roll came with about 8 pieces. The rolls were not very big, so it wasn’t packed with rice. However, I wish the contents of the rolls had a little more diversity instead of just crab and(something else I can’t remember) excluding the lobster roll. I guess it’s to keep the rolls affordable for the owners though. The hand rolls were okay. I tried a salmon skin hand roll. I wish the seaweed was kept crispier, but it could be because I took a while before eating it. I would come back again if I were really hungry again. When deciding between this AYCE and Tomi buffet, I’d say the qualities of the rolls are similar, but it really depends on what you want — more variety of rolls(Tomi), or entire rolls that you don’t have to fight with strangers for all to yourself(Seoul Jung)

What an affordable sushi feast for hungry teenagers! We had the AYCE. Everything was delish. 7 rolls, tempura, soup, teriyaki beef. The boys just kept ordering, so we had more than that I just don’t recall what. Service was terrific and friendly. Next time everyone is really really hungry for sushi, this is what will come to mind. However, if u just want a snack or small meal, the«boat» seemed efficient.
