Shipe Consulting Group offers professional engineering and land use planning services in the metro Boston area and all of Massachusetts. We provide complete project management in civil design, land development, permitting and due diligence for commercial and residential development. Areas of expertise include civil engineering, feasibility studies, land use planning & permitting, construction administration, storm water management, demolition contracting services, wetlands compliance and zoning analysis.

History

Established in 2015.

Shipe Consulting Group was formed in January 2015 by John Shipe, P.E. to provide cost effective and practical civil engineering/​design solutions for land improvement projects. Services include site layout and planning, grading, drainage and utility designs, land use permitting, due diligence services, and construction administration.

Shipe Consulting Group partners with environmental engineers, geotechnical engineers, traffic engineers as well as architects and landscape architects to provide a comprehensive and complete set of engineering and land development services.

John S.

Business Owner

John Shipe, P.E. has served as a development manager on large scale retail and multi-​family residential projects requiring extensive due diligence, design and permitting services. He has over 20 years experience with the management of survey, design, permitting, wetlands compliance, construction documents and cost controls. Areas of expertise include site layout and planning, grading, drainage and utility designs, land use permitting, due diligence services and construction administration.

Shipe is a registered Professional Civil Engineer in Massachusetts, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and he also serves on the Concord, MA Planning Board. In 2008, John was a recipient of a River Stewardship Award, Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Wild and Scenic River Stewardship Council, for design and permitting services provided for the Thoreau Elementary School Riverwalk.
