West Coast Digital Gurus specializes in wordpress websites, dynamic online marketing, and technical training & consultation.

Our head guru, dGuruWu, in addition to being well-​versed in all basic aspects of technology related to running a small business, is a former Chamber of Commerce president and mediator, with a degree from UC Berkeley in Conflict Resolution and has passed the 40-​hour California State Certified Mediation Training.

There is no technical or human problem that we can’t solve, but we just like taking on the jobs we feel we are most well-​suited for, and the ones we find most rewarding.

Currently West Coast Digital Gurus provides pro-​bono support for West Coast Pool Players, the Concord Historical Society, the Digital Safari Academy, and the Alaskans for Ron Paul 2012 movement.

History

Established in 2010.

West Coast Digital Gurus is the reinvention of a business previously known as The Girdwood Guru. Previously based in Girdwood, Alaska, our vision now is to service customers globally through remote assistance, with an emphasis on the Western United States.

Meet the Business Owner

Doug W.

Business Owner

Doug Wu has been involved in the high tech industry since he first got hired as a salesperson for R-​Computer, based in Pleasant Hill, CA. Within a year he was promoted to Production Manager of R-​Computer and managed a team that was responsible for the assembly of computers, with the highest level of customization in the industry.

In 2001, Doug left for Alaska and started his own technical repair and consultation business in Girdwood. He quickly adapted, as many of his clients needed assistance with web development. In short time he became Chamber of Commerce President of Girdwood, and known as the solver of all problems technical ~ hardware or software, Windows or Mac.

In 2005, Doug launched Girdwood TV with at the time partner, Chris Flynn, which still runs today. Through GTV, his web site building /​communication skills, and his rapport with the community, Doug embarked on an ambitious plan to transform the Girdwood community to become a model sustainable community…
