My Mom’s water heater burst in December 2015 and AAA brought in Wingard Construction for the repairs. I have to say I cannot disagree more with the 1 star reviews.
Rodney, our estimator was a pleasure to work with and had some very helpful suggestions when my mother wanted to go with different flooring treatments and to get the house repainted (which AAA refused to cover, but that’s another review).
Mike, our project manager was communicative, helpful, polite, and bent over backward to accommodate scope changes on the fly.
They could have gotten the work done in three weeks with the scope changes. In fact they had most of it done in two. The only delay we experienced was the delay we caused in getting them the bathroom fixtures to be installed.
Their subcontractors did an exceptional job on the drywall patching, painting, flooring, and bathroom plumbing work. The house looks fabulous and my mother could not be more pleased with the result.
Overall our experience with Wingard was stellar and I would recommend them without reservations.

DO NOT HIRE CONTRACTORS FROM THIS COMPANY. I had a car hit and damage my house wall and these guys took more than 2 and a half months just to fix it. They are REALLY slow in their work with no heads up on when they will show up to do their work and they expect you to be at home. The project manager, «Tim», is unorganized with an arrogant attitude. They do not care about their customer’s concerns. Good luck to those who are planning to use this company for construction.

Slow as molasses and irresponsible. First off, I didn’t hire this company and wouldn’t ever refer them to anyone. Kris was supposed to be at my house at 7:00 a.m. this morning. After I drag myself out of bed to get ready for him, he never showed up.
He didn’t call and apologize. It took them way too long to finish this job because they
appear to be extremely disorganized. I believe insurance companies should be more responsible regarding whom they hire to work on other people’s houses. Wingard Constructioin should be BOYCOTTED as far as I’m concerned!

I’d like to tell you they’ve gotten back to me with an estimate from 2 weeks ago when the estimator came to my house… but they haven’t. I called to check last week, still no call back.

My parents had a fire in their home. All was lost except for the frame of the house. Focusing only on Wingard Construction and not all the other things that were involved, they were fantastic through this whole process. We met Scott first and he was really great with explaining all of the estimates. Billy was also very helpful. The Lead Carpenter, Jason went well beyond to make sure the house was completed on time. Our Senior Project Manager, Rick, was very helpful in every step of the process. He was great at warning us what a tedious process this was going to be, building a whole house, from picking out paint colors to faucets and appliances. Believe me, it was a lot more work than others could imagine. The Wingard Construction team from the contractors to staff helped make this process for all of us easier to handle.
One of their sub-​contractors, Floor Designs, Bob and Juan, did amazing work with the hard floors and tile designs in the kitchen and bathrooms. Their work was impeccable and quick as we were in a time crunch. They reassured us that the project would be completed with our satisfaction and on time.
Overall, even though this project started with a tragic event, Wingard Construction did everything they could to help us go through this long and tedious process of reconstructing the house from top to bottom.
We really appreciate all the emails, phone calls, and texts. They’re hard working and they care. I say that they care because they really do pay attention to the details of the house, things that you wouldn’t normally think about in the end, such as the door knob in the hall bathroom being a different color with the out side of the door or the hinges (Thanks Jason!), those details make a difference. It helps when you know other people have your back and are thinking about the details that you don’t have to worry about.

We were referred to Wingard by our insurance after some water damage to our laundry room. The work was done in a timely and professional fashion. Our project manager Tim was great. He helped us through out the repair process keeping us informed of what was happening and what was next. He even took the time to investigate some other problems we had around the house. Overall a good experience.

Wingard Construction sub-​contractors did not meet our standards at all. They lack standards of excellence; they are very slow in their work. They never call back or show up on time, they make excuses and we are the customers they should care about us.
It took us 3 months to receive our paint can back from them. I had to call the corporate office in Concord to get it back. The only nice people that work there, that care about their customers are the receptionists in both the Concord & Lodi offices.

Wingard Construction was in charge of rebuilding our condo after an horrific fire. This was one of the most devastating things we had ever been through. We were assigned Scott and Rick Hendrickson to oversee and complete our project.
Mr. Hendrickson is excellent and working with Wingard and Scott under such a stressful situation, made our lives much easier. Mr. Hendrickson is a true problem solver and was and excellent communicator during the entire process. He is always on time and easy to get a hold of. He kept in constant communication with us and sent over a weekly report of everything being completed.
The final and completed project turned out beautiful. The workmanship was excellent and Mr. Hendrickson was a true professional to work with. He was a perfectionist with each and every item which gave us a great deal of confidence and security. If we ever needed work done in the future, we would hire Wingard Construction back in a heart beat.

Wingard was assigned to our claim by our insurance company after we had significant water damage due to a broken pipe. They did an excellent job and helped us put our house back together again. However, the standout throughout the entire experience was our project manager Tim Klob. He was very reliable and responsive, even replying to texts and calls on evenings and weekends. He has extremely high standards for the work that they do and made sure that everything was done to our and his complete and absolute satisfaction.
To say that Tim went above and beyond would be an understatement. For example, we decided to replace our toilets while all the construction was happening. Although the new toilets were separate from the project they were there to do he assembled the toilets for us so that they’d be ready for installation once the flooring guys were done. He even hauled our old ones away so I didn’t have to deal with dismantling them myself. Yuck.
Also, we had been forced to live in a hotel for 2 ½ months due to the extensive nature of the damage. Tim knew we were desperate to get home and made sure we got in as soon as possible. Although he is technically the project manager he personally came down and wrapped up the repairs himself instead of waiting to send one of his guys. In fact he stayed till after 9pm just to finish up.
I definitely recommend Wingard. My only constructive feedback would be that I wish the estimate/​bid process were a bit faster. And if you have the option make sure you request Tim as your project manager. He definitely helped to make the best out of a pretty crummy situation.

Wingard was in charge of the flood damaged condo i am renting. What a nightmare! My landlord lives down south just to make it more interesting. Project Manager Tim Klob was amazing! Staying until all the other guys were gone «just to recheck their work», always paid off. A loose bolt, ohh, sooooo much! About 5 weeks!
Love the finished work to my condo. Love them so much, we’re hiring them for more renovations!

We were introduced to Rodney Rumble, at Wingard Construction Inc. (WCI), via AAA our home insurance company. I must say I was immediately impressed at Rodney’s expertise, honesty, and level of customer service. Before deciding to move forward with them, I checked a few other contractors and none of them seemed to stack up. Well it was the best decision we made. Rodney was a true partner, he guided us through all the project and insurance steps, and level set the project expectations. He took the time to walk us through the contract and make sure we understood all the work and cost estimates. Once our contract was done we were assigned Tim Klob, as our project manager. I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to work with someone who knows their stuff, and makes sure they deliver high quality work. If there were ever a «wikiconstructionpedia» Tim would be the man to fill the knowledgebase. I don’t think there is a single thing related to construction this guy doesn’t know!
Moreover I applaud his leadership and teamwork skills, as he is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and help his crew to ensure deadlines are met. I also must applaud his choice of team members, from the amazing painters; Jason, and Curtis, to the carpenters. Especially Juan Tapia, who was always on time and worked non stop to knock out all kinds of project tasks. His carpentry work was high quality and very clean. A company is a reflection of the people who work there and this group set a great example for WCI. I would be proud to have this team back for future work anytime. Thanks WCI for making our house look so great!

Tim Klob from wingard repaired a patio door for us that I had spent hours trying to do myself. Should’ve called Wingard in the first place. Thanks for the after-​hours service call, Tim!

Our bathroom received water damage from a leaking pipe behind the wall in late 2013. Our insurance recommended Wingard for a previous claim we’d make so we decided to go with them again. All the work done was done well by all the subs and Wingard. My problem is with getting Wingard to answer my emails about not receiving the balance owed to us from what AAA paid them and what we’re owed (we decided to buy the bathroom vanity ourselves) and so far 2 emails have gone unanswered. I don’t do well with making actual phone calls so I thought since they have their email address on their business cards, I use that. We have been issued a partial refund for flooring costs but would like to hear from Wingard about the vanity issue. It is our money.

The toilet overflowed & flooded our house. State Farm sent us to Wingard, who handled the whole job, which was a lot: Sop up the water, run fans for a week to dry out the room, pull up the rugs, tear out the wallboard and the ceiling (specialists handled the fiberglass), and took it away in a dumpster.
Then they rebuilt everything: ceiling, walls, floors including the bathroom floor. We had them upgrade the insulation and a few other items while they were at it.
They did an excellent job, high quality. My only complaint was the usual construction co. schedule unpredictability, but they shaped up when I complained. I would rec. them again without hesitation and in fact had them in the other day for another job. Top marks.

My review of this company is no longer here, so I will repost my experience from two years ago. They were hired to fix a wall where water was leaking through. They hired people to do cosmetic work to the inside of the wall and outside of the house. The next time it rained, the water leaked again and ruined the work that I had already paid for. I tried many times to contact them so that we could continue the work to fix the wall, calling both the office and the so called project manager directly. When I switched phones the project manager finally picked up and was actually laughing like «haha, you got me» when he realized it was me. You are making a mistake by hiring these people. I can’t believe the other reviews are legitimate.
I read Mr. Winguard’s response, and I will add that I never received a bill. When the project manager finally came by, he thumbed through a dirty stack of papers and said that he had forgot to give the invoice to so and so at his office. I paid the bill immediately after I received it.
My last comment is that after they have your money (or assume that they have), they won’t bother with you again.

Wingard Construction just finished work at my home today. I have nothing but great things to say about everyone at the company. Joe Baughman was the Service Manager and three separate workers did the actual sheetrock, texturing, paint, and cabinetry. All were professional, friendly, did a super job, and cleaned up when finished. You would never tell that there was damage there before they started! Everything was explained thoroughly and each step was followed through immediately by everyone.
My damage was caused when SOSA GRANITE put granite in my upstairs bathroom and their plumber, MARCELLO of NICKEL AND DIME PLUMBING, didn’t secure the P-​Trap, causing water to go from the 2^nd floor to the 1^st floor. NEVER use these companies!

Wingard repaired damage to my house due to a fire. It was a traumatic time for me and my 4 children – the damage was so bad we had to move to a hotel while our home was repaired. Wingard was extremely conscientious about the timing and worked hard to get our house habitable ASAP. Their work is top quality. If I had a problem/​concern, it was addressed within a day – even on the weekends. They definitely went above and beyond what I’ve seen any other contractor do. Even when there was a problem that wasn’t in the scope of the fire, if they could, they fixed it for me. The were responsible, communicative, considerate, and professional. I also want to thank our project manager, Joe Baughman – I definitely felt we were in good hands with him overseeing our job. He was the single point of contact, made getting through this tough time almost seamless and was eager to help, explain, discuss and whatever else was needed to facilitate getting my house repaired. I am very happy with the work – it looks great and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend both Wingard and Joe Baughman as PM.

I recieved a call from someone named Bill 2 days ago, stating that he was from Wingard, and that he wanted to «discuss» my review. Sorry Bill no cigar, I am done with Wingard, please no more calls, my review stands as stated… nothing in my review was untruthful, this is still the USA and I am entitled to my opinions and to relate my experiences as they happened to me. Learn from this review, you are welcome to use it as a teaching tool for quality assurance purposes…

I just had Wingard repair water damage in the ceiling at my place and they were great. Joe came out and immediately fixed the leak so we could have water again and then Mike and Dale came back to do the repair. They worked with our insurance company. They were easy to work with and very accomodating

Not sure of the other reviewer, but I have had a completely opposite experience. We had a water damage and the insurance company had only provided a certain amount.
We were instructed to get two estimates for our repairs. Wingard came out and walked us through the process step by step. They were able to work with the insurance company on getting additional funds to repair our home to what it was before the water damage.
They were fast and efficient, and will definitely use them again
