All Points Moving and Storage

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Unfortunately we had three long-​term storage shipments stored with this company due to military PCS orders. If you’re military, make sure they DO NOT handle your items!
They were held for four years during an overseas tour from 2008 – 2012
Shipment 1: Consisted of items damaged in a previous move. These items were repaired before being picked up by All Points. There were 13 items in this shipment. When we called for it, they couldn’t find one and sent it via FedEx almost three weeks after delivery of the other items. We bought our own moving blankets to protect the furniture. All Points removed the blankets and all of the pieces were damaged, including nails and screws being stuck in the bottom of furniture and drag marks from where they were dragged across a floor. All of these items were pieces of wooden furniture.
Shipment 2: Crated on site at pick-​up. Items within the crates were undamaged but the storage company initially had a difficult time locating four large crates. Even though we requested all of our items at one time, this shipment was not sent with the previous one. It took an extra three weeks to track down these crates and have them delivered. (Now we’ve taken two days off from work to receive shipments).
Shipment 3: Smaller shipment consisting of a washer, dryer, and antique china cabinet. Should have arrived with shipment 1. It didn’t. Didn’t arrive with shipment 2 either. All Points first claimed that they didn’t have the items. They they just couldn’t find them. It was only after having someone from the personal property office go there that the items reappeared. They were finally delivered. The glass on the china cabinet was gouged, pieces were broken off the china cabinet was in storage a leg was broken off of it and they used wood glue to glue it back on. The glue seeped out from the crack on all sides and dripped down the leg. (Now three days off from work to receive shipments)
We originally requested these items at the end of July 2012. We did not finish receiving everything until October. We went three months without our washer & dryer and put in an inconvenience claim with All Points because of having to drive back and forth to do our laundry. Shipment 3 was delayed for four days in transit because of a death in the driver’s family. (Driver was from another carrier, not All Points). That company PAID us for the trip to laundromat when they didn’t deliver on time. All Points refuses to pay and refused to work with the claims office.

We contracted AllPoints thru their rep. Adam Feldman, who was very nice and made the deal sound good. Totally Bogus! He implied it was a flat rate ~ $ 450 and that wardrobes and other items were included in the price. When the movers finally showed up (more than 2 hours late), they said their was a charge for everything and the cost was $ 100/​hr, with a 3 ½ hour minimum. Then they said it was going to be at least $ 550, and they wanted it in CASH, upfront, or they wouldn’t even pick up a box. We were never told cash only, but still came up with almost $ 500 and asked if we could give them a check for the rest. NO WAY! To top it off the guy was surly and uncooperative to the extreme. He said all the cash, or he’s leaving. Bottom line, he left! Our worst experience ever!

We had our houselhold goods moved by this company, UNFORTUNATELY! This was a complete service, wherein they pack and transport — we have done this many times before so we do know how it is supposed to be done — They break all the rules for this type of business. They use completely untrained, inexperienced employees — 1 out of 6 is able and knows how to do the job — what the rest do is totally appalling. They just dumped our stuff in boxes — therefore at the direct destination they carried in boxes with bottoms falling out and many damages inside. These guys did not understand what the bar is for that goes across the top of a wardrobe carton — they just dumped eveything that was on hangers in the bottom of the carton and never hung them on the bar. They broke legs off of antique tables. I could go on for awhile but I think you should get the gist. This was not a low estimate move — they get top dollar from the government.

To say this company was terrible is an under statement. They got our business by quoting a figure far below their competition, before you say «well, you get what you pay for,» consider they wound up charging me as much as far more reputable companies initially discussed. They literally said they would NOT deliver our belongings until we agreed to pay $ 900.00 more then originally agreed upon. So there is that– pretty awful.
Then there is the fact their people stole from me. I had a miniature Japanese knife (looked just like a small japanese sword) in my tool box. GONE
