Love this place. Family friendly, good portion sizes, good food, good people.

Been coming here for 4 years now and have yet to be dissapointed. If you’re going to a diner in the mountains with a line out the door and the expectations of getting a table within 2 minutes, having 5 star food in front of you within 10, and everything to be all about you like 90% of the people posting 1 or 2 star reviews, and all for $ 10, you sir or maddam, are dilussional. The staff is awesome and I know them all by name by now, the food, although a little inconsistant, always leaves a smile on my face. Only thing I haven’t enjoyed was the all-american grub plate, but was given a pricier meal at no charge as an alternative. I have left feeling sick, only because I couldn’t stop eating(and still left with a to-go box). Totally worth the wait on Saturday or Sunday morning when they’re packed full. Dennis(the owner) is friendly, smart, and experienced, having been in the business for over 40 years. Local favorite, but also great for a random trip up to the mountains! They do close at 2 so don’t miss it!

So, I am giving this place three stars, ONLY because my husband liked it, but he likes Waffle House, so there is not much of a challenge. I did not like it very much. It was a bit too greasy for me(we had breakfast). The place is quirky and fun to look at the stuff on the walls; the wait staff is friendly and quick.

Unbelieveable place for breakfast, recommended to me by many locals, didn’t disappoint.

We stopped in for lunch. I wish I would have seen the soup of day. I would have ordered it but the chalk board blocked by the booth top rail. I had the grilled bacon tomato and three cheese sandwich. It was delicious. The hot chocolate they served was over the top good. Must try breakfast next time and hopefully the soup.

DONOTSPENDYOURMONEYHERE! I originally gave this place 3 stars. As it was just average, I felt this was appropriate. I even chose to leave out a few details(like the dirty bathrooms and dangerously slippery floors) so as to not bad-mouth a place I had only been to once. My opinion has now changed. A staff member(I assume manager/owner due to his initials) chose to contact me and berate me for my review. I will upload a screenshot to the photos section. Notice that others before me have done the same. It’s unfortunate that this place is still in business.

Our service was good but the food was less than desirable. It seemed like something thrown in a microwave. I had even asked for some ranch and it tasted sour.

Wife and I had the chicken fried steak sandwich. it was just ok, don’t think it was homemade but probably prefabricated from Sysco. The floor was dangerously slippery. I at first thought it was wet but it was not. My wife was in a full leg brace, so I had to assist her to the restroom.

Great portions and good food! They have very good weekday specials as well. Great staff on top of it all.

The breakfast here was EXCELLENT! I had the country grub, and my husband had the biscuits and gravy. The portions are monstrous, so if you don’t want leftovers, split a plate even if you’re starving. It’s got an older crowd mostly, so it’s pretty quiet. The waitresses are really nice, ours was a little slow taking our order(we asked for another min and I really think she forgot about us), but the food comes out lightning fast. They’d give Jimmy Johns a run for their money. The only reason I didn’t give a five is because of the slow ordering, and there was a string in my water and some black flecks in my husband’s??? Who knows what that was about… but I guess it won’t deter me from coming again, Ill just check for strings! ;) Just a note to the manager-the floor is oddly slippery, but it’s not wet… I almost busted my a** on it, and that would’ve been tragic;)

Took my family for the first time this Sunday based upon a referral. We were seated right away and drink orders taken promptly but that was it. The food was very slow to come, our waitress never asked us how our meal was and refills were not forthcoming without waving someone down. The food was good but for what it is, simple comfort foods, way over priced and not worth the cost Imo. Coffee in a mug will cost you $ 2.99 and is nothing short of home brew. Juice the same cost. Even my $ 10 pastrami sandwich was soggy. My wife got pork tamales for $ 12,which she enjoyed. In the end with 2 adult meals, 3 kids meals, one orange juice, and one coffee it was $ 56. And for the first time in a while I only tipped 15% of the subtotal. Because of cost and service I will never go back. Too many other options for my hard earned money.

The food was decent and the service was good but the place was kinda dirty. The floor was a little slippery and nasty. The whole place could use a good cleaning.

I just love this place! It’s a great place for breakfast, before going for a walk at flying J Ranch or Myers Ranch, both of which are nearby.

4 stars for excellent breakfast and great service. This is our go-to breakfast place in the Evergreen/Conifer area. I recommend this place to people who like hearty breakfasts. Breakfasts are well-price for the portions that you get. Of all the breakfast items, my favorite dishes are the breakfast sandwich(egg, cheese, and sausage on a toasted ciabatta bun) and the pancakes. My bf loves the All-American scramble. Every breakfast plate seems to get a huge serving(half plate) of hashbrowns. I’m not a fan of hashbrowns, so I can’t comment on how these are. The waiters are always super friendly and attentive.

Waitress didn’t know what was in the breakfast burrito and then told me it wasn’t even on the menu. Ordered a scrambler instead, I ate it, but it was really blan and nothing special. Over medium eggs were less than over easy, potatoes were just frozen out of a bag, the scrambler was just a tasteless mess. I won’t be back, there are better options on 285. This place was very expensive and low quality.
