These delicious, beer grain treats won’t get your dog drunk — but they will get him buzzing with excitement! The key ingredient in our treats is recycled brewers’ grain. We obtain our spent grain from breweries all over NY & PA and create delicious treats for your fur babies! Think of it as an awesome way to help the environment, spoil your pooch, and feel good about doing both. Cheers!

Spent grain is a byproduct of the beer brewing process. During the brewing process, sugars are extracted from grain. The «spent» grain is then skimmed out and typically thrown away. But wait — spent grain still has a lot of nutritional value. Spent barley, used in the beer brewing process, is a concentrated source of nutrition, high in vitamins (particularly niacin and thiamin), high in fiber and protein, yet very low in fat.

We make our treats by hand, in small batches, using only simple ingredients including fresh barley and local farm fresh eggs. Our treats contain no soy, hops or preservatives.

History

Established in 2014.

We Started out making dog treats for our own dogs as a way to recycle the grains from our home brew. They went crazy over them so we shared them with our friends and family and all dogs approved! We decided it would be selfish to keep them all for our own spoiled hounds so we sent a sample off to the lab and started marketing them. With a localized business approach we take the spent grains from our friends at local breweries, bake our treats at home and sell our product directly to consumers and through retail outlets. Soon we will be exclusively be using fresh local eggs as well!
