I’ve purchased two vehicles from Joyce Castelan at Gullo Toyota, and both purchases have been a great experience all around.
On the first purchase, I contacted every Toyota dealer from Dallas down to Corpus, and from San Antonio over to Lake Charles. Joyce was extremely responsive, gave me the most straightforward answers from the start (big difference from other dealers), and was there with me every step of the way — responsive, friendly, courteous, and clearly showing that she valued my time and business.
After my first vehicle was totalled due to being run into by another driver, I called Joyce immediately when I was ready to buy my new vehicle, and she was able to secure the perfect truck for me. The purchasing process was just as fast as the first time, and Andrew in finance was able to get me a fantastic rate — better than I found anywhere while investigating before my purchase. Including signing all the financing paperwork, I was in and out of the dealership in two hours or slightly less. Fabulous service again, and I’ll buy my next vehicle from Joyce — after hopefully getting to enjoy this one for several years first! I would (and have) highly recommend anyone else do the same.

Great service and very accommodating! They always have drop off service available and the wait room is pretty large so you are comfortable.

Typical dealership selling you repairs that you don’t need. I came in because I had service codes indicating I needed new spark plugs. They came back with an estimate of over $ 4200 that included new water pump, transmission flush and a new catalytic converter. All of which I didn’t need. While I was sitting in the waiting area, one of their employees informed an old lady she needed a new air filter and wiper blades which they could replace for $ 80 and $ 70 respectively. About three times what it should cost to replace both of those. Then after I have my repairs done I get not only a text wanting me to rate their service but a phone call as well. We don’t give you guys our number so you can bother us wanting your ego stroked as we tell you what a great job you did. Will never go back. Steer clear.

My salesman david marks started off well. He let me test drive the truck (alone without taking my license. That was sort of odd)
However, he kept talking on his phone throughout the whole time I was with him. I mean, in the middle of negotiations he was chatting with a friend about hiring his friend etc… Oh well, just a bad idea for a salesman to ignore a customer.
Most of my 1 star review is aimed at the goofy guy behind the glass who is secret and decides your future.
Guys, its 2016. Maybe we should try something new and not the old school sales tricks?
I was told that my offer to them would not be taken seriously until I was willing to sign some papers.

He said, «if you sign this, we may be able to make a deal» I guess they didn’t think I was serious. Unfortunate for them.
The sales manager tried to tack on some $ 1300 in «accessories» which included window tint and some other things he couldn’t describe. What a good deal.
Personally, I will be using carvana for my purchase. Their pricing is much better and they deliver free.

Needed a diagnostic test for my Highlander. The service guy Spencer Cannan was very polite and professional explained the process and details of what the diagnostic test would look into. Gave it 4 stars only because they couldn’t find the AC leak however, Spencer did explain what they did to find it and for me to take it back.

Don’t waste your time here. Their service Dept/​customer Service was pretty lousy.
I had a recall in my car and wanted to take it in to be checked. I called ahead to see when would be the best time to bring in my car. The girl who answered the phone literally said «Uh… I don’t know». I asked her if she could transfer me to someone who would know. She transferred me to the service dept and the phone did nothing but ring, no voicemail. I called back again and the same girl said «Oh if they didn’t pick up they’re busy and you can just leave a voicemail» she immediately transferred me before I could tell her there wasn’t one.
In my opinion «uh… I don’t know» is not an acceptable answer to give a customer. If you don’t know, find out!

The biggest nightmare of my life. Avoid this place like the plague. For 2 years my car was in the shop over 10 times! This place is the worst. They are absolute crooks!

stay away from this place! totally unprofessional. sales person, scott payne, totally rude. blowing up my phone when he thought he had a «done deal» was drinking on the job and smelled like liquor… eeekk!
tried to lie to us about what sort of financing we could and couldn’t get! went to fred haas and got 5.5% interest rate and found exactly what we were looking for. gullo toyota of conroe is the worst and i will let everyone i know to stay clear of this rat hole!

Service department was very busy when I first visited, and I had a real bad experience, it took a whole day to get an oil change, dropped off at 8am, showed up at 3pm to pick up, and still had to wait an hour, however Max did everything she could to make up for it, and my following visits went much better.
Now the Sales Department… it’s a bait and switch so don’t bother. You will get a good deal on the car that you want with the options that you want, which they have in stock. When you come back they do the old switcharoo… pull up the car you want fully loaded, and obviously the price you agreed on won’t be honored. Salesman Michael Serletic gave me a good deal initially but then when he took me to his manager/boss’s office, the boss pretended to be shocked by the price agreed on, and wanted to restart negotiation, saying the price previously agreed on is too low. He wanted me to make an offer, so instead I walked out. According to their website they have the same model with less options, so no need to pull up a fully loaded vehicle.
I don’t like people wasting my time. So the next day I went to AutoNation, once the salesman brought out the vehicle that I wanted with only a few added packages, they matched my offer from Gullo (before they did the bait and switch).
If you have all the time in the world, and enjoy being misled, Gullo is the place for you :-D
Also, come on guys, most people get a rebate of around 2k immediately off of MSRP on these 2014 models, so start negotiating after that. And pleaseeeeeee stop paying full price for warranties, yes those are marked up as well.
Fred Haas is not too far, I had a decent offer there, nothing amazing, but they didn’t try no sleezy bait and switch gimmicks. They’ll say they can’t go lower, when they can, but that’s just business.

Skip these guys. Better off buying Toyotas elsewhere

I absolutely loved how I was treated when I went in to Gullo to purchase my vehicle. Thomas F. greeted us at the door and told us he would be right with us. Within a few minutes Kirk S. came over to talk to us for a bit till Thomas came around. It was an awesome experience because I wasnt hunted down like prey like i was at another dealership. It felt refreshing. After test driving a couple of cars we settled on a 2013 Toyota Camry. The whole processes was quick and very smooth. If we had a question it was explained to me and they were very helpful especially since i had not every leased a car before. Financing was quick and efficent as well. I remember going to a dealership and feeling like we were there all day. I was kinda shocked how fast it was. Kirk K., Kirk S. Thomas F. and the whole team were terrific. This experience makes me want to always by from Gullo Toyota in Conroe. Thank you for being so terrific.

My family has been using Gullo for years now. The service department is alright, I’ve never really had any problems there. The sales guy Huy is a really nice guy and my family has always done business with him. The finance guy we dealt with recently, Tony or Anthony, who sounds like hes from up north, was very, very rude. When we were done with sales and ready to move to finance Huy called him to come get us and he never did, and then after waiting for about 30 or so minutes Huy called him again and he told him to bring us in. Also, when my mom called hours before they closed to see what time they closed he told her not to come in. I hope to never have to deal with him again.

Would ABSOLUTELY never come here again. The Service Department is outright lousy. I pulled my car into the service area and could clearly see two employees at their desks talking with one another. One of them (middle-​aged bald man with a mustache) finally came out to my car after several minutes. His attitude was negative from the start and it was very evident that he didn’t want to assist me. He wasn’t even remotely friendly. I explained that I’d purchased the car with a Toyota warranty and wanted to have something looked at. I followed him into the desk area where he looked up my warranty but it didn’t show up in their system. I explained to him that I was sold a warranty with my vehicle when I purchased it. Instead of trying to contact the dealership I’d purchased from to try and help sort out the issue while I was there, he sent me back home (after I’d driven 30 minutes to get there in the first place) with little more than a shrug.
Absolutely pathetic customer service. As much as I love Toyota, I would NEVER consider purchasing my next car from this dealership. They’re all smiles when you come in to purchase but don’t want to help you when you need service. Save yourself some time and frustration and go somewhere else.

Fast, friendly and well organized, Gullo Toyota has a great service department. I can’t see myself going anywhere else in the Conroe area.
