Mostly I agree with the comment about this being a hit or miss kind of place. Jason is always a HIT, and the others are a combo of hit/​miss. However, I have been coming back for years and overall I am pretty satisfied. Today’s cut from one of the gals looks good and her banter was friendly.
If you don’t mind having someone other than Jason work on you, then you’ll be in and out in a flash. Otherwise you’ll wait for quite a while for Jason.

No significant complaints — there’s always a line waiting for Jason, but I’ve used two different barbers when I went and never had any issues. Simon does a great job! Would love to use Jason some time, but I can’t justify waiting an hour in line for a haircut.

Several times I have told him very carefully to leave me some hair, and each tiime he gave me a total buzz cut right down to my skull!
Jason, on the other hand, is excellent, as many of these reviews have indicated.

Recommended to a friend to get hair and beard trim, and Gus wasn’t there, but young lady Asian) was and she tried double price and shave after hair cut because she didn’t know how to use straight edge and wanted other guy in shop to do it, but wanted to be paid for it, and The other guy wanted to be paid for shave too??? No wayy! Not recommending anyone other than Gus, not the others. smh

Overall very happy with haircut, the two Asian guys that work in this shop are very well seasoned in their craft and do a really great job and for $ 16 haircut, that’s pretty great. Everyone waits for Jason, who has more of a personality and he is funny, but if you want to get in and get out and have a nice haircut, the other guy does a great job too.

If you are a guy looking for a high quality haircut, there is one person to go to: Jason. He’s awesome. You will have to wait but he always does a great job here. Ask to go to him, otherwise you are rolling the dice on quality here. Jason does take appointsments but on Mondays only. You will have long wait times at peak hours (like lunch time, weekends etc). He’s worth the wait and the prices are def competitive. One weakness aside from varying quality from other barbers is that they do not take credit card.

I used to go here a lot years ago. They had two folks who were great, and really made you feel appreciated. Well I guess they wised up and left, so I went to one of the others, and was sorry I did. All she did was complain at the news, and proceeded to tell me how John McCain should just stop using his war record as a crutch, and how he «always whines», and so on. After that day I vowed never to come back.
Years pass, and I figure I’ll give them another shot. This time I get the same woman, but all she did was complain about the TV, and parents nowadays, and so on and so on. She went on for 20 minutes, nonstop. But this time, she had company. This time there were two of them, just yapping away. Yap Yap Yap. Absolutely nothing good to say about anything.
Why would I want to give my money to such absolutely negative people? If I want to hear some crabass moan and groan about her life, I’ll do volunteer work at the local women’s prison.

Just moved to the area from philly and needed a barber. Gus’s is an old school barber shop. Nice cut for a good price. They even clean up your neck and sideburns with a straight razor.

I can’t recommend this place because the barbers tend to be hit or miss here. Whenever I go there, there’s a line out the door for Jason and the others’ chairs are empty. I have never had the time to wait for Jason, but he seems to be the most popular. The other 4 barbers have varying degrees of capability and friendliness.

My husband was looking for a new place to get his hair cut. He has short thick hair and the hair cuttery wasn’t doing the trick anymore. I sent him to this barber shop. What a difference!!! Perfect cut, not a hair out of place, for $ 15.75. They even razored off all the little stray hairs on his neck. They seem busy on the weekends so weekdays are probably your best bet.
