This is the second time I’ve visited Maria’s and I have to say I’m quite disappointed. We came in with a couple friends. We ordered our meals separately. The two kids behind the counter were incredibly unprofessional. They stood behind the counter talking trash about the different call in orders. And we’re just freaking out, in general. After we ordered our friends food came up after about twenty minutes and then they told us they hadn’t seen our order in the kitchen so we had to wait another 15 minutes to get our food. By the time we got it our fries and cheesesteak got cold. I definitely won’t be back. This was absolutely ridiculous and they offered no apologies.

Spinach calzone, delicious! Good-sized, too. Nice place to sit with a friend or even your wife and have a bottle of wine(BYO) plus some of Maria’s very good pizza or Italian.

Tasty sandwiches, clean environment, friendly wait staff — then, why am I so disappointed? I’m disappointed because today I discovered that my 10 years of patronage, and dozens of referrals were worth less than $ 8.00 to the owner of this establishment, Nick. So, in brief here’s my story. My family and I truly enjoy the pizza, wings and focaccia sandwiches at Maria’s. In addition to going there for the occasional after-school gathering or Saturday lunch we have been ordering the Focaccia Sandwich trays about twice a month for many, many years. Yesterday, I stopped in and picked up a tray. I live about 10 minutes away. When I arrived home, 2 of the sandwiches were not what I had ordered. I called Maria’s and explained. I was asked if I wanted to return and get the right sandwiches. I said, no, I’d prefer to pick them up tomorrow because it’s so cold out and I really didn’t want to venture out again just for the sandwiches. Tonight when I stopped by to get the sandwiches, the owner acknowledged not only the error but also the offer extended by his employee. However, he refused to honor the offer for the 2 sandwiches and offer me $ 4.00 instead? Really? His rationale was that the employee should not have offer such a hefty compensation for such a minor mistake. He then stated that I was trying to take advantage of an employee’s mistake. He went on to explain that the cost of the 2 sandwiches would be $ 12.00. So, the difference between what was offering and the cost of the sandwiches id $ 8.00 — What are your thoughts, is a loyal customer who refers business to your restaurant for 10 years, not worth $ 8.00? Or I guess the bigger question is — do YOU want to dine somewhere with such little regard for a fellow customer? What if you encounter a problem there, how will you be treated? Again, good food, great services, kudos to the staff, but unfortunately a big thumbs down to today’s management decision. DISAPPOINTED :-(

With all the pizza shops surrounding this area, Maria’s has some pretty good pizza. I or I should say we(my coworkers) ordered about 4 of their pies with an order of wings just for good measure. It’s very obvious we are not worried about the cholesterol, or the ENORMOUS amounts of calories we were about to consume. This place was highly recommended by other workers who know how to eat. Now when I say«know how to eat» I mean they are not skinny, these guys appreciate food, and frankly I am gonna lean towards their opinions rather than a skinny person. No offense to the skinny people out there, if I want a great salad spot, or an all natural spot then I value your opinion. Lets get into it, first I must say they have a great amount of patience seeing we were ordering while changing our minds, then going back to the original order. Right there says they can handle what ever you try to throw their way. Our orders were a meat lovers(well we turned into one) mushroom, cheese, and a ricotta with tomato with wings. All 4 pies had a great amount of toppings, they didn’t miss a beat, covering the whole pie not like some other spots that just put a minimal amount. The wings were very meaty, nice flavorful hot wings with ranch and blue cheese for dipping. Meat lovers– Sausage, bacon, ham, pepperoni, and meatball was on this bad boy.(anything with bacon is an instant winner by the way) Each slice had some weight to it, almost breaking away from the pizza every time you picked one up that’s how much they put on. The shroomer, the whole pie was covered and smothered with mushrooms, with a good taste, almost a sweet taste to it. The cheese well its cheese, still was good to eat. The final ricotta and tomato was great, with spoon fulls of ricotta, like a little mine fields of goodness. I am big for a reason and places like this are the reason why. I would definitely order from here again, maybe try their Stromboli’s, or a cheesesteak which I also hear are good.

This place is ok but nothing special. Cheesesteaks, chicken sandwiches, strombolis, pizza. Maria’s Special Cheesesteak has provolone and broccoli rabe. It’s pretty good and different than you’d see at most places(Tony Luke’s offers the same sandwich) so that’s why I went from 2 to 3 stars. Sandwiches are around $ 7 so you can stay around $ 12 when you add drink and fries. I’ll be back but it’s not a place I’m jacked up about. One note on the fries: they are the right kind of fries(non-coated) and they are properly cooked(not undercooked or reheated/overfried). This was another thing that got them the 3rd star.

Excellent local pizza joint. It’s difficult to find a place in this area with edible individual slices but Maria’s does it and the salads are divine as well. Have been going for years and will definitely continue doing so.

My sister had just moved to the area so we were trying to find a place to eat that wasn’t a chain restuarant is how we ended up at Maria’s. The food was good. My sister had the meatball pizza which she really liked. I had a cheesesteak which was good, and the bread was fresh. Only real complaint is that it was mid July and I’m pretty sure the air conditioner was not on. Unless their AC consists of ceiling fans.

I’ve been here about 10 times. The buffalo chicken wrap is BANGIN! LOVEIT! As far as pizzeria places go I’d say this is run of the mill, except for the wraps that are a 10 in my book! Bottom line; Get the buffalo chicken wrap and call for pick up. Your standard pizza shop.

Been coming here for years. Food is OK, nothing great. And it’s not as if there aren’t a ton of other pizza joints within a mile of here. Well, I’m done with these idiots. They constantly forget food when you order for delivery, run out of ingredients, and tonight were just plain rude. They forget to give me part of my order– not the first time this happened. So, when my husband went back in the rain for the 20 minute roundtrip, they apologized but when he asked what they were going to do for him, were rude. They gave him a little side salad and the girl remarked rudely, «We typically don’t do this.» Wow! As if they were doing him this huge favor by being idiots and having him have to drive over. We’re never ordering from here ever again. Good job losing a long-time customer.

Its a decent pizza place with good salads. Nice to try if you are in the area but its not worth any kind of pilgrimage. PRO: + Large variety of pizzas and toppings. + Most of the pizzas are pretty good. + Ingredient quality on the pizzas is also quite good. + Crust is decent although sometimes can be underdone. + Salads are large, fresh, and have a nice variety of ingredients. + Prices a fair value or better for the quality. CON: — There are tables but its basically take out only. Why? Cant eat there in the winter because every time someone opens the door you freeze. Cant eat there on hot days because their AC is terrible. They seriously need a double door system on this place. — The wait staff can be scatter brained. If you take out then you do not need to worry about this. Mostly high school kids so that just what you get. — Pasta is a serious weak point. They should remove it form their name. — Its on Ridge Pike so depending on the direction you need to go it can be annoying. — There is parking but there are a only few spots before you are parking on the side street. This review is based on 8 visits. As I mentioned before, we eat there on nice days or get take out. Its very close to DeStolfo’s(Premier) Martial Arts so its easy to get take out after class. I want to give them more stars because its some of the better pizza in the area; however, the weak pasta dishes, poor dining area, and wait staff prevent me from doing so.

Maria’s makes some of the best pizza in the area. They have an eggplant parm pizza, which is spectacular, and an array of great pizza toppings(e.g. artichoke hearts). Though, that said, I have to say my favorite is their plain pizza. The pasta is just OK(that is why I am giving them 3 stars, instead of 4). It’s really nothing special, which wouldn’t be a big deal, but they do advertise themselves as «pizza and pasta.» We’ve eaten at the restaurant and gotten takeout. Both have been fine. The delivery people are fast and friendly, as are the servers at the restaurant. The restaurant is extremely low-key, really your prototypical pizzeria — pay at the counter, etc. I would definitely recommend stopping by for some pizza if you’re in the area and looking for a quick, good meal.

I’ve never eaten in the actual restaurant, but we get delivery from Maria’s a few times a month. I love their chicken fingers — whatever they bread them in is much lighter and tastier than most chicken fingers. Love their honey mustard sauce. The margherita pizza is AMAZING. It’s more of a white pizza with sliced tomatoes on top. It was so delicious that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since we got it. We always order their Old Bay Fries. In all honestly, by the time they get to our house the fries are soggy and the cheese sauce is hard but they are still somehow delicious and satisfy my craving for something sort of close to Chickie and Pete’s Crab Fries. We have ordered a few pasta dishes as well, and they’ve all been great. VERY yummy wrap sandwiches as well. Pesto Chicken = YUM.

While waiting for my food, there was a guy behind the counter who kept scratching his nose area, and proceeded to make a salad to go, without washing his hands. He then went into the kitchen area and made a sandwich for himself and while handling food that would be consumed by guest, he is shoving meat into his mouth and making his sandwich at the same time, needless to say I WILLNOTBEEATINGHEREEVERAGAIN

One of my favorite spots. Great food, low prices and free parking. We eat here all the time. Their pizza is the best. The pasta is always good.

I had lunch here awhile ago. It’s a small and homey spot(you wouldn’t think so, looking from the outside) right on Ridge Pike with ample indoor seating. While I don’t make it out here much, but will have to stop in again. Enjoyed a fresh slice of pizza(not pricey, mine came out to about $ 3, after I added toppings) with olives, roasted peppers, and a substantial crust that wasn’t overdone. There’s a full menu, but I’ve only ever tried their calzones and linguine.
