I actually had a better than expected visit to this very unique establishment… Accompanying my wife and daughter this past Wednesday to find our daughter a gown, we were very warmly greeted three steps into the door, and though it appeared busy, we were assured by an associate that we would soon be helped.
We were asked what we were looking for and promised we would be assisted within 10 minutes. With a smile, the associate quickly directed us to the section my daughter’s ‘dream dress’ could be found. (The inventory is definitely on the 1^st floor).
Within 5 minutes a stunning woman, professionally dressed, was at our side.
Our daughter had already picked out three ‘possibles’. Being a business owner,
I suspected she was the boss — and right I was. Wendy has owned RDM for over
20 years… and it showed. She was as excited for Zoe as we were, and it showed.
With each selection Zoe tried on, Wendy made observations and suggestions. It was as if she was talking to her own daughter. Zoe would nod, smile, and giggle a bit, but I could tell she was hearing Wendy’s every word. In less than an hour the choice was made, and all the way home, Mom and daughter raved about the choice,
while I quietly cheered about the price!
To see the joy in my daughter’s eyes, along with Wendy’s exacting guidance was golden. And with Mom’s smiling approval, I knew we came to the right place. The selection was enormous, and the designer names were plentiful. I KNOW that
my girls will spread the word… and I will as well.

This shopping experience was most bizarre. Talk about unfriendly, rude sales help! This one takes the cake! The wedding cake! I went to this establishment with my bride-​to-​be daughter and her friend, hoping to find THEE wedding dress. Upon entering the store, we told the gal what we were looking for, acknowledging that we did not have an appointment. (We came midafternoon. We were the ONLY shoppers in the store and it appeared the two salespersons were NOT busy at all.) She informed us that we HAD to have an appt. We explained this was the only day we could give her as the bride was not from the local area. She told us the wedding dress collection was upstairs and we could not go up there to browse. We didn’t «get it» and asked her to explain further. She said we had to tell her what we were interested in and she would go up and pull the styles she THOUGHT we would like and bring them down… but only if we had an appt. It was all so ridiculous. There was no accommodating, no flexiblilty, no interest in making a sale AT ALL. In fact, the sales gal was downright rude and cocky to my daughter, interrupting her when she asked a further question, turned on her heel and walked to the back of the store, laughing. Let me tell you, sister, WE had the last laugh. We talked about this experience all the way to the next bridal store where, by the way, we DID not have an appointment, re-​told our experience to their delightful saleslady and anybody else who was within earshot, and said YES TO THE DRESS, all within an hour. To all those considering this «designer outlet», save yourself a trip and save yourself from being «laughed out of the store». This store’s sales gal should do all of us a favor and stay in the back room where she belongs! Better yet, keep her upstairs with the wedding dresses. Nobody will ever get to see her up there!!!

What a horrible experience! I have never been treated so poorly by a salesperson. When I visited the store I was the only costumer on the premise and they could not give me the time of day. I was shopping for my wedding dress and evidently they keep all the dresses (let’s be honest, they probably have a laughably small selection) on the second floor and costumers are not allowed up there. So when I asked what the process was of learning what dresses they have, she gave me the most condenscending look and the poorest attitude. It was so shocking and appalling — all I was doing was trying to give them business, why we’re they treating me so horribly?
Little did this salesgirl know, I know a number of people who have shopped at this store previously and since hearing about this they have all pledged never to spend another dollar there.
To anyone considering shopping here: not worth your time (such a small selection of items and the store was poorly set up) and be prepared for truly shocking customer service (or lack thereof).
