History
Established in 1960.
Conway Family Bowl was opened in 1960. In 1983, Allfam Inc. purchased the center in a family owned corporation and continues to this date.
The center has hosted State Tournaments, the Atkins Pickle Professional Women’s Tournament from 1989– 2003, as well as, the 1984 national stop, the Conway Open for the Ladies Professional Bowlers Tour, which can still be seen on ESPN Classics periodically.
In 1995, the center underwent a major upgrade to automatic scoring and programmable bumper system being installed. We were among the first bowling centers in Arkansas to feature the bumper system across all lanes.
In 2003, Conway Family Bowl joined three other centers to start Arkansas High School Bowling. The first year Conway Family Bowl fielded 4 teams of Arkansas’ 14 schools. In 2010, over 70 schools are participating with Conway Family Bowl’s 8 local schools. All bowling is donated by the center.
We are committed to family friendly fun for our community and visitors.
Meet the Business Owner
Pat A.
Business Owner
I have been bowling since age 6 and involved in the bowling business for 25 years. I squeezed 8 years in car sales ending as a general sales manager, between a 10 year and 15 year bowling center career. The car business taught me much more about business in general that I brought back the the bowling business.
I was elected President of the Arkansas State Bowling Centers Association 2000 — 2004. During this time period, we established 2 major achievements for the Association … Arkansas High School Bowling and the Mid South Business & Education Conference.
I enjoy meeting new people and helping expose them to bowling. Nothing is more gratifying than seeing someone improve upon their skills based on a little help you may have provided. I believe that treating people how you want to be treated will lead to a successful business.
Achievements:
Salesman of the Year 1989 & 1991
Tri County Bowling Hall of Fame 2007
Arkansas Proprietor of the Year 2008
