Our strongest attribute is our ability to handle long-distance moves that are in the small to medium sized category. We find that the large van lines typically overprice these small shipments as they view them as a nuance. We welcome them and the opportunity to serve!
Our customers find us extremely accommodating. We have 14 full-time, experienced and well trained employees. Our fleet of 10 trucks are specialize for moving, and we will send them anywhere you need to go. We are you connection between Northern New England with the rest of the USA.
Each year we move over 550 satisfied families and businesses annually. References and testimonies from our customers are available upon your request. We are not a broker, or an agent for a major van line. Your move will be performed with our NH based crews, utilizing our truck fleet and equipment.
History
Established in 1983.
The Country Picker has nearly 40 years of experience providing moving and storage solutions to families and businesses. Located in Northern New Hampshire, we service all of the East Coast, the West Coast, and the Midwest. We are a licensed, insured, full-service mover with the experience, manpower and equipment necessary to move all types and sizes of furnishings and equipment.

The Country Picker was founded in 1974, first as an antique business that specialized in estate sales and appraisals. Responding to the needs of the Mount Washington Valley and surrounding area, the company transitioned into a moving and storage business.
Cathy Nealon and Philip LeBlanc purchased the company in 2007 (forming New Hampshire Moving & Storage LLC) and shortly thereafter acquired Tom Daley Moving, a long-established Carroll County NH local moving company.
Over the years, The Country Picker has moved thousands of families and hundreds of businesses and has grown to be a sizable independent mover, operating moving vans and providing nationwide moving services.
At The Country Picker still believe today in the principles that defined our company when it was first established: integrity, honesty, know-how, and old-fashioned hard work. We love what we do and our passion for moving is reflected in our happy client base.
