Tavas Pizza

Love the pizza, great crust and plenty of fresh ingredients to choose from, and my hubby digs the gyros. Friendly, accommodating staff. Wish they delivered, but luckily they are near my house!

I tried Tavas 4 years ago, and didn’t much care for it. Thinking I had the greek pizza then. I saw they had won a state wide contest, so I decided to give them another try. We ordered the Beef gyro with salad, and a beef platter to go. The salad dressing was to die for. I gave my hubby half and he gave me half of his ranch/​cucumber dressing, which just made the entire dish in my opinion. make sure to ask for both. My hubby actually complained there was too much meat on the platter! Not a bad problem to have. The gyro was perfect and we were both happy with our orders. I did not have to wait long. The place was immaculate. So Clean you could have probably eaten off of the floor. Very nice people working there. I will now be a loyal repeat customer. Just sorry I didn’t give them another try sooner! I felt the price was actually on the cheap side. We both ate and had leftovers for $ 15.

was so hard to choose between the AMAZING pizza, to DECADENT burgers, or even the LUXURIOUS lasagna. I’m going to find out if the are open today and go fix my cravings! I heard a rumor that this place will be closing soon. Is that true?

Great restaurant! Wonderful food, friendly, efficient service. I recommend the gyro plate with stellar tzatziki sauce and with fried potatoes, the spanikopita is the best I’ve ever had, and I love the pizza. Only down side: I would love for them to offer beer and wine.

This place was awesome. It has a really great «pizza place”-feel. Prices are awesome and service was great. I drink a lot of water/​soda and my cup was never empty. The pizza was awesome. Everything was awesome.

LOVE Tavas! Family owned and operated Greek restaurant. I’ve been spoiled by their authentic lamb gyro meat. Lasagna and pizzas are delicious. Be sure to get an order of the Greek fries. They are closed on Sunday.

Living 5 mins away from Tavas, I grew up going here. The family that owns this restaurant is a very kind and loving family, and you can tell by the way you get treated here. Truly a gem of Conyers. 5 stars!

Yum! My new favorite restaurant in Conyers!
Tavas is off the beaten path in a shopping center with a now-​closed Food Lion. But it is worth the drive for the gyro. Holy moly it is tasty! I work on the other side of Conyers (not too far from the Horse Park) and have made the trip down to Tavas on my lunch break just for that yummy gyro wrap. Next to try is the pizza! If you are in Conyers, definitely give Tavas a try. I’ve always gotten great service.

LOVE this place and the owners! This food is always outstanding and generous. The house special pizza always hits the spot! Tavas is a local business done right. We no longer live in Conyers and live an hour away yet we continue to drive out of our way to dine here when we can.

I love this place, I happen to live nearby and have enjoyed it for years. The greek potatoes are worth the trip, the gyro platter is usually large enough to bring some home. Pizza is also far superior to the chains, but I’m usually stuck on the GYRO!

Don’t get discouraged by the less-​than-​perky strip plaza or Chinese buffet style furniture. The food was pretty darn good. Searching for something locally owned and operated, we found this place on Unilocal.
The $ 6.75 gyro lunch special was quite a deal. My fellow diners opted for the salad with theirs. Nothing to write home about, but the size was generous. The gyro itself was the best I’ve had in a long time. The bread soft and fresh, meat tasty. The portion was again huge. We requested feta cheese with our gyros and were surprised to discover we were not charged for it. The «sauce» was tasty and plentiful.
Our served recommended the fried potatoes, and, boy, was she right. They were beautifully fried disks seasoned with oregano, salt, and pepper.
Service was friendly and the owner greeted us on the way in and out. I will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

I am a big fan of small family owned restaurants. This is one of them. Mark the owner and his wife are usually there to greet you. The taste is great and the men offers a nice variety including gyros for those who are not in the mood for pizza. Nice and clean inside. Only business on that shopping plaza that has kept the doors open… very simple reason. IT’S AMAZING.

I agree with Lee G. this place is in the middle of nowhere & the place is a bit run down. But the family and wait staff are more than will to go out of there way to treat you like family. Got the personal pizza with pepperoni, sausage and Gyro [lamb]. At first I thought [this will be either awesome or horrible] lucky for me it ended up being awesome & now I want lamb on my pizza always. My only negative was the fact that they close so early. I guess there isn’t much around them so no need to stay open late but i’m not use to a place closing at 10 on a Friday.

Tavas is a great local restaurant. I always order their gyro wrap and fried potatoes (I call them f-​pots).
