History

Established in 1983.

Beginning from the center and expanding continuously outward, the iconic spiral of the Simonson’s logo symbolizes the very essence of our profession — an experience of perpetual renewal.

The first Simonson’s Salon & Spa opened in 1983 in Anoka. Simonson’s was one of the first salons in the U.S. to recognize the movement toward combining salon and spa services in a single synergistic environment.

Simonson’s now has 3 locations — Maple Grove, Plymouth and Coon Rapids.

This award winning salon and spa has been recognized as ‘Top 25 Women-​Owned Businesses’, chosen as ‘Stand Out’ Salon/​Spa, named ‘America’s Fastest Growing Salons’ for 10 years in a row, renowned as a ‘Diversity List Leader’ and voted ‘Best Salon and Spa’ by community magazine readers.

Since 1983, she has fostered an environment where continuous improvement, open communication, and innovation have become the cornerstone of a highly successful business model and a fiercely loyal and talented staff who daily push the limits of their potential skyward. Merging the business craft of the burgeoning day spa industry with a genuine commitment to people and quality has been daunting, yet the kind of task she was cut out for.
