We specialize in professional quality and gentle handling of pets. The owner of The Paw Shoppe is a national and international competitive groomer, having helped bring home the GOLD in the World Team Grooming Competition in Germany in 2009, and Barcelona in 2013! We do cats, hand scissoring, hand stripping, show trimming and cute pet trims. Quality is key because we want your pet to look its best, even weeks AFTER your pet has been groomed! Our salon is a professional, home based and clean facility with all of the best equipment and products to groom your pet to perfection! The Paw Shoppe has been in business for 20+ years. We look forward to meeting your furry friend.

History

Established in 1992.

The Paw Shoppe started as an independent business within another shop in Circle Pines in 1992. In 1994, The Paw Shoppe moved from there to Coon Rapids, where it has been ever since. The Paw Shoppe is a well established fixture in the city of Coon Rapids, grooming many of the pets belonging to city officials and workers, and is very proud of that!

Business Owner

The Owner of The Paw Shoppe, Veronica Frosch, has been an animal lover since she was a small child. Her love for animals (dogs in particular) steered her in the direction of pet styling. She went to grooming school immediately following high school and never looked back! She had a natural ability for scissoring, and decided to compete locally in 1996. She competed a few times here and there, winning a few placements. In 2006, she won a couple of really notable placements, pushing her into pursuing a coveted spot on GroomTeam USA, comprised of the top 10 competitive groomers in the USA. She has been a member of GroomTeam USA almost every year since then (with the exception of a couple of years hiatus from the show circuit), even making it on to the team in one or two shows a couple of years! She has traveled internationally to teach her skills, and had many groomers come to her for private coaching as well. She has a true passion for all aspects of grooming!
