Tang Asian Fusion

I have ordered delivery from this place 2 – 3 times to my office and its been great each time. Twice I called in the order and once I used their online ordering page. The only *slight* issue I have with their online ordering is that you can’t pay with a credit card but other than that its phenomenal. Once the restaurant called me to confirm that I didn’t want rice with a lunch special even though I wrote «no rice» in the comments, I thought this was very thoughtful and I appreciated it.
The prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent. Great delivery service all around.
I also feel that the menu includes more than your standard Asian fusion fare.

Tang’s is hands down my favorite Chinese food to order from in Amityville. I always use Grubhub to order and have never had a problem with any alterations and/​or substitutions. Delivery is always on time or earlier.
Food is delicious, especially the crab rangoons and spring rolls. Steamed dumplings and tofu lo mein are a favorite as well (tofu is perfectly fried every time). The edamame appetizer is so large I even end up with leftovers for the week!
The ONLY downfall is they don’t use baby corn!!! :(

I absolutely LOVE their sushi, I would get my sushi from another local place but when I tried this place I just couldn’t go back. I do mostly take out with them but I have sit down to eat. Everyone’s super friendly, the service is quick and the food is AMAZING. I highly recommend the vegetable tempura and the Crunchy Spicy shrimp roll.

DELIVERY ONLY 5STAR EXPERIENCE:
I Moved to South Amityville about 10months ago and when u move u always look for your best delivery options. Chiense Food was found but they always give me a hard time on delivery, even though they delivered to me 4x before. Well good as you know it last night @ 9:12pm I called and they said it was to late to come deliver since they close at 10pm… That was the 3^rd time in a row I was denied so I said never again, it’s annoying and I need to find a different place…
Searching on Unilocal like usual … But for chiense Cuisine that offers delivery and is open at 9:30pm … It sure was Slim pickings BUT TANG’s was the first on the list… Looked at a bunch of reviews and saw 2 reviews that gave them 1Star literally 2−3hrs prior to finding them… But it was all due to a tip charge and a delivery person complaining about a $ 2 tip. I don’t condone a delivery person actually complaining but at the same time I don’t condone giving anyone $ 2 in this day and age in NY… At the same time this is prob why others have money and I usually don’t have much haha — I am someone who worked in many service industries and am most of the time called an «over tipper» Personally I think a standard tip should be $ 4 — $ 5min when tipping your delivers Lol — so I said to myself putting the money complaint reviews aside I’ll give this place a whirl!!!
I ordered General Gso chicken dish that came with a pint of either white/​brown rice, Vegetable fried rice dish, and a Chef Specialty Rock n Ladies Sushi roll. My Total came to about $ 40 (I thought a lil on the pricey side at first but soon realized you certainly get what you pay for :)
I USED THE Unilocal ONLINE ORDERING — I had MANY INSTRUCTIONS to every dish I ordered & My order wasn’t SENT TILL 9:45pm when THEY CLOSE AT 10pm!!! I’ll be honest after I made the order I was quite nervous of the outcome since the time and instructions …
A. The gentlemen who delivered my food found my door (NO ONE EVER CAN ITS TRICKY) He was very nice and knew it was my first time ordering … I was very pleased with his manner and he was smiling and friendly… I was thinking I got someone diff them the other ppl who ordered b4 me? I always give 20% tip no matter what … Of course their are times when I don’t have it but that is always my goal and he seemed happy with an $ 8 tip
B. EVERY SINGLE INSTRUCTION I ASKED FOR WAS DONE TO PERFECTION AND THEY DIDN’T CHARGE ME A CENT FOR CHANGING Pretty much EVERYTHING I ORDERED LOL!
—No mush/​onions in rice CHECK!
—All WHITE MEAT ONLY w/​Chic CHECK!
—Changed the sushi roll from «Tuna» to «Peppered Tuna» and added Mango CHECK!
C. The Portions are HUGE! I could of fed 3ppl easy… PRICES ALREADY PROVED THEMSELVES AND THAN SOME
D. LASTLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING! The chicken was crispy and the sauce was divine, LOOK AT ALL THE VEGGIES IN THE RICE — and SOOO FRESH — I WILL NEVER ORDER CHIENSE FOOD FROM ANYWHERE ELSE… The sushi was perfect too! It was made EXACTLY LIKE I ASKED — and fresh — I think sushi is always better when I sit somewhere but that is just me cuz I love Sakey ;)
Conclusion = If you EVER ORDER FROM HERE YOU WILL NEVER LIKE OR ENJOY CHIENSE TAKE OUT FROM ANYWHERE ELSE AGAIN LOL — plus they have such a HUGE SELECTION u can try something diff every time, which is what I am looking forward to doing in the future :)
I am so pleased 2 finally finding my goto Asian Fusion Delivery Spot … WEEEEEEeeee!

For the second time, the delivery person looked at my tip and said «only $ 2?». Tipping is for exceptional service, and bringing two bags across the street for a delivery charge AND $ 2 is more than adequate. After loyal patronage since opening, I now feel uncomfortable ordering from Tang.

Had to take a Continuing Ed class and walked to this local spot which does a lot of takeout, and for good reason. The food is delicious. They do a great tuna tartare with mango. I have also enjoyed the pork noodle bowl with shrimp dumplings. Good flavor and satisfying. I like to try something different whenever I come here since it is only across the street from my office, but my go to meal is the fish with garlic sauce. The food is so good I keep digging in before getting to take pictures. Sorry.

Never had a bad thing here as I have said in my other review. Last night I had the steamed chicken and vegetable with black bean sauce because I am trying to eat healthy and it did not disappoint! The black bean sauce is outrageous! I wanted to drink it right out of the container. You cannot go wrong at Tang!

Just started ordering delivery here, and I now order from them weekly. I haven’t had a thing I didn’t like! Boneless spare ribs are the best! I’ve even ordered the lettuce wrap delivered and they put lettuce in a separate container, it stays fresh and crispy even the next day. Prices aren’t bad at all either.
After tang’s you’ll never order Chinese from a different place.

Great blend of Chinese, Japanese and Thai food! Although they do a lot of takeout the inside has seating and is very clean. The food is presented beautifully on nice plates. The service is always fast. I’ve also ordered takeout from them online. After you place an order they will call you to confirm and tell you how long pickup will be. This is a great crowd pleaser for the whole family. I’ve had their California roll, chicken tempura roll, sesame chicken, and a few apps everything is so good!

I am in retail and I know that people will only post a bad review as a happy customer will never post but be happy. This place not only will deliver so fast it’s not funny, they make the best fried rice. They are cheap, quick service, and soooo nice!!! I order their food for work for lunch and get it for dinner for my wife and kids. Again no one post anything good when they have a great experience but they screw places for an off day. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Tang has yet to disappoint! Everything is delicious, from sushi to entrees to soup! The sushi is always fresh, my son loves the sesame chicken. Can’t go wrong here!

You’ll never eat take out chinese again! This place is banging.

I’ve had: chicken teriyaki, shrimp teriyaki, steamed shrimp and broccoli, Dragon and Phoenix, and a few others. None disappointed.

Before writing this review, I’ve ordered take out at least 7 times and waited until I really felt ready. Can’t speak much for the raw stuff but some good ol take out, you will enjoy. I feel it’s a notch better than most take out places not because of the sleek interior which makes for a nice dine-​in experience but because the food is very delicious and not overly salty and sauced which is a very common issue. Sometimes I feel like a shrimp mix vegetable dish contains too many of the same three veggies where they have more of an assortment, PFR has a nice sauté color and flavor — not too oily or dry. Just little things that make a difference. I ordered a big assortment one night and everyone was like yo this is really good!

My wife and I went for takeout 2 days ago. The place had a nice atmosphere and looked pretty clean. We ordered a couple of sushi dishes and they were great.
This evening we ordered for delivery. Today’s food wasn’t as great compared to what we had the other day. Tonight we ordered Chirashi, Roast Duck, Satay Chicken, and Boneless Spare Ribs. To start, the only item that was ok was the boneless spare ribs. Not the best but ok. As for the Chirashi, I was totally shocked at how small it was. The cost was $ 19.50 and I was extremely upset when I had bad tuna. It had such a bad flavor and had a fishy smell, I threw out the whole thing. The miso soup Had a dark broth and had a weird flavor, I threw that out also. The roast duck was chewy and had no flavor. The Satay Chicken was dry. I was very disappointed. To make things worse, they charge for delivery ($ 1 for living 1 – 5 miles away & $ 2 for 6 – 10 miles away… they won’t deliver if you live more than 10 miles away). (I would have given more of a tip if I didn’t have to pay for delivery.)They do not make note of this on their take out menu. We found this out when we placed our delivery order through their website. My wife and I really wanted to like this place but became very disappointed.

It is convenient, because it is five minutes from my house. I like that they have an online order form, so I do not have to call.
I have to say, the food is mediocre. I did not like the fried rice at all and all the Chinese dishes I’ve tried have been meh. It’s not too flavorful or exciting.
The sushi is surprisingly better than expected for a fusion place. It does taste fresh and is okay when i order it to takeout. However, the prices are a little steeper and there is not a good selection to choose from.
However, this is one of the cleanest, inviting chinese food places I’ve ever been to. It is redone and very modern and clean.
It is what it is, not a gourmet meal, but it is an okay solution for takeout when you need food fast.

Finally a nice Chinese restaurant that has a nice dining room, is clean, and the food is great too.
I had the boneless spare ribs with fried rice and it was great.

It’s good to know there are always a few great sushi places in the area to try out. I usually frequent Liki when I’m looking for a sushi fix, but Tang has excellent choices as well. Their menu is great if you’re eating with a group who may not like sushi but is in the mood for other asian fare. Lots of options and everything we had was great!

First time here tonight. Food was very good. We had the vegetable basil fried rice, Thai style. That was my favorite part of the meal. Dinner dishes were delicious as well. Nice décor and friendly staff. Would most likely return in the future.

We’ve been searching for good Chinese food since we moved to Holbrook a year ago. We took a chance and drove a half an hour to get to Tang’s. I was a little nervous at first because it was small, and looked like one of those places where you just walk up to the counter and you experience mediocre food… I was wrong.
Tang’s was awesome. Yes it is small. It had about 6 tables, 30 seats, including seats at the sushi bar. The décor was classy and clean. The entire restaurant was very clean. The wait staff was very nice, our waitress was quick and attentive and the rest of the staff was also nice to us.
My husband and I both had the homemade ice tea which was great. I had the peanut avocado roll as my appetizer. Even though it was vegetarian, you can tell they know sushi. It was very fresh tasting, the seaweed wasn’t chewy and weird like it can sometimes be. My husband had the roast duck soup. He also enjoyed his.
For dinner he got the Volcano Beef. He loved it. I had the Mango Tofu, and thankfully the waitress told me it was very spicy, because I can’t have spicy she said she would make it mild. It was perfect. The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, just as it should be, and the sauce was light and perfect and not overwhelming.
Our meal came out to be about 45 dollars. It wasn’t overly expensive. I would definitely go back.

The place packs allot of trend into a small package. Very much in line within the popular hip-​sushi these days, but there are only 6 tables in the whole place. Also the fact that their is constant take out business kind of ruins the dine in experience. The sushi was delicious though and well prepared. A great place to eat if you want the presentation of much larger places like Kotobuki without the line or the price.
