History

Established in 1945.

The New York Pub was formerly known as Dino’s Tavern and has for years and years provided a place for the Copper Basin community to relax and enjoy a variety of beers. The business has been a part of the Historic New York Hotel building in downtown Copperhill, which enjoys a rich and colorful history and has played host to many famous people over the years. Former owner, first generation Greek immigrant, Dino Boloukous fondly recalls how he kept order in Copperhill rougher days with the help of a baseball bat, which can still be seen in the pub. In fact, if you are lucky, you might just meet Dino himself as he now enjoys coming in, relaxing and having a beer with many of his friends he has made over the years. He can definitely tell you some good stories if you happen to meet up with him! Come relax and enjoy!
