I am 23 me and my husband don’t go out to bars to often but when we do we come here. It’s so homey and welcoming. The staff will dance with you if they have time and makes amazing drinks and food! It may be a country bar but they have so many things going on karaōke to live music and always a jukebox with everything under the sun! I am always happy with the time we have here just a genuine good time! This isn’t the typical dive bar scene where maybe a fight could break lose, this place embraced small town feel but welcomes out of towners :)

There are wings. There are ghosts of tales of Black Bart staying at this brothel-​saloon. There’s a patio on the back side that overlooks rough and tumble hills of copperopolis. Again, there are wings. There’s a pool table. There’s a full bar. There’s, simply, no reason to just not pin a flag on your map and make this a destination when you’re roadtripping California. These stagecoach posts of our young history still stand, and they are every reason to not sit around any longer, and just go.

Gotta check this place out for their monthly Prime Rib night! For $ 17.00 you get a «build-​your-​own-​salad, green beans, HUGE portion of prime rib, bread basket AND dessert! Food, drinks & service are ALL wonderful!

This place is truly as good as it gets! Great food, inviting staff, and an overall light and casual environment makes this place enjoyable for lunch or dinner. Plus alcohol is served for a fair price; they do not gouge you like an average bar does. My wife and I enjoyed getting to meet the staff and even the owner is a really nice guy! Give this place a try if your travelling through the country in CA!

My husband, Dave, and I just bought a home in Copperopolis and are moving away from our hometown, Alameda. We stopped in Odie’s place for a bloody mary on our way to the new house, OMG, what a wonderful experience for us!!! The owner, Odie, is full of history of the area as well as up to the minute news, who needs TV with him around??? We had the BEST bloody marys ever… after trying their food, I’m sure the stars will climb the ladder! Stay tuned… we won’t be totally moved for probably 2 to 3 months, but hope to try the Prime Rib!!!

This place is an institution and truly a part of history. It’s also a great bar that happens to serve up some great grub; I’ve had the burger there and it was really tasty. In fact, once a month they do a prime rib dinner that seems to regularly sell out.
With the history of the place, cold beer, and good food, this place heartily merits five stars. Check it out to get a real Sierra foothills experience and enjoy some amazing history while you’re at it.

This is a bar, that used to be a brothel, that serves up some basic food. Get it? It’s not a café, or a lunch joint where you can take the kids when on the road, but a straight up beer slinging, whiskey shootin’, nascar watchin’ bar that serves up a damn decent burger.
Coming home from a camping trip, we were looking for some lunch and ended up on this quiet old road in Copperopolis (first and may be the last time I spell that one out). Upon entering the empty bar, the heavy stench of fried burger lingered in the air, like you just walked in someones apartment who had just cooked some burgers. I gotta say that I love that smell, burger meat and fat wafting through the air. Call me basic or primal, but burgers bring out that inner cavemen in me.
The old school bartender drops off our beers and proceeds to go in the back to cook our burgers. I hear a pan hit the stove, burgers frying, the shuffling to potato chip bags, I mean how old school is that? A $ 5 burger got you a ¹⁄₃ lber w/​all the trimmings on the side & bag o chips. This wasn’t no teen aged, pimply faced, Metallica shirt wearing kid making this burger, but this dude made this like my late grandpa would of made it. Without having the greatest cooking skills, at least he took his time to do it right.
And even though I had to endure watching Nascar on a lazy Sunday afternoon w/​o air conditioning, in what is essentially a dive bar in Copperopolis, Ca., burger and brew in belly, things were not bad. I’d even go as to say «purty good, actually».

Nice historic saloon with pool tables & free popcorn. They make a very tasty BBQ Pork Sandwich. The place is self-​proclaimed as the «A**hole’s Bar» and they sell t-​shirts & bumperstickers with the same, so probably not the place to take the kids.
